Got a call from my friend who lives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (where the volcano erupted on the 20th),sent him an email to make sure he was ok and he gave me a call to let me know how he was doing.

For now his home his safe although jokingly he said that in case he loses his home he has me thank for when its time to file for the insurance company.
Years ago before he bought the place and knowing my backround in real estate he asked me for my opinion on the price,quality etc.
As a joke i told him that when he ensured the place he should pay more and get coverage in case the volcano erupted,we both laughed and i thought he didn't go ahead with it but he actually did.
He has been paying a surplus each year and now it seems that if his house gets in the way he will be fully covered so he told me he owes me BIG TIME.

vaping wise as usual not much to tell,couple of things i want to buy but money tight (as usual hehe) so no shinies for me.

I am itching to try the Arbiter and the Kylin M Pro RTA,maybe at the end of the month and once all the bills are paid.

Supposedly i am getting a couple of items to review from Sourcemore but it seems to be stuck in time,sent them a message to see if there was any problem:

No movement since the 2nd of this month

A Vapefly Kriemhild II 2 Sub Ohm Tank and a Jackaroo Mini kit,hope they get here soon.

I went out and got a picture but am not sure it’s the same spider unless it has silver on the other side. I never saw yellow on it before.

This is what I found out:

Black and yellow argiope (Argiope aurantia). Large orb-weaver is common in eastern North American gardens in late summer and early fall

@borno you are right that it's a member of the Orb weaving or Orb spider family. We have many here in Australia and they have some huge species in South America too.

Some species create the most incredible silk - stronger than any man-made fibre. Scientists are still trying to unlock the secret. The only reason we don't farm spiders for silk like we do with silk worms is because they eat each other.

Thanks Charlie. I managed to connect it to escribe today. Didn't change any parameters but its good to know the usb C port on the DNA 60 Alumo and Ultemo does pass data as well as charge.

I feel the need to lay an egg here to...
I love my Ursa quest, make no mistake. The RBA makes fantastic flavor. It's in my top 3 for flavor...I actually won't hesitate to put it right up there.
But for me it comes with a draw back....it's hefty. Way to hefty to fall in the "pod" nor AIO category, i think. I live with it as it is what it is. I can't really take it out and about because of it's size, and weight.
Just thought it might be something for you to consider

Fred! Thanks for that egg! It is important as I already have two daily drivers that are hefty. I do not need another since I probably have ten in the backup box.

Good morning shiny people. I was turning on the water yesterday to water our flowers and saw a frog stuck to the side of the house. That’s one thing I don’t see here very often in suburbia. He didn’t seem to care that I was there at all.

I found one crawling in the refrigerator door about a month ago. I snapped a pic for my BFF who is afraid of frogs (silly I know) And it was a tree frog. we have frogs all over outside here and I see babies all the time in the yard. But this is the first tree frog I have seen here. How it got in the fridge is beyond me. I do have a habit of leaving the door open when I am carrying ingredients out of it so maybe it jumped in then. Or maybe it came on some produce? It was a mystery.
I am not afraid of them but not really comfortable with touching them so I used a spatula to get it onto a magazine and then sort of covered it with the spatula until I could get it outside. Sadly I think I broke it leg while doing this.

Hey there T! No, I know baby frogs when I see them. My brother was totally into catching polly-wogs and watching them grow into frogs when we were kids. We have several ponds around the neighborhood here.

Hey there T! No, I know baby frogs when I see them. My brother was totally into catching polly-wogs and watching them grow into frogs when we were kids. We have several ponds around the neighborhood here.

Gotcha. So much fun - we had a creek under a local foot bridge near us when we were kids. We called it The Frog Place. These days most kids can't take their faces away from their screens long enough to bother exploring. Makes me sad to think how much they miss.

I've got a frog pond in my back yard so when my boy was about 7 or 8, I set up a couple of aquariums at his local school and we filled them with eggs. We put them in a corridor outside the classrooms so the kids could watch the whole life cycle. Was so cool to see them crowding around the tanks and yelping with excitement when they spotted the first little wriggly tadpoles, and later the first back legs poking through, and soon enough the little froglets taking shape.
We taught them how to feed the tadpoles small amounts of lettuce, and later live crickets. I introduced some little water snails to keep the glass clean and a couple of freshwater muscles to help filter the water.

That reminds me of the Crawdad Creek from when I was growing up, not really a creek but a drainage ditch. We used to put raw bacon on a string and catch baby crawdads, about an inch long. We didn't have any use for them so we let them go after we would determine who could catch the most. I did catch a big one once, about 4 inches long, but he got away after he started snapping at my toes.
