Good news...the courier arrives with a packet...I haven't received one in ages. I jump up from the chair and dropped my reading glasses on the floor. Exited to get to the courier, I left it on the floor...saying to myself i'll pick up later...as you do ;)
I felt the packet and knew it's a tank...trying to remember what I ordered while returning to my chair. Bad news...yep, I stepped on the glasses :-x
    Ah well...i'll fix it somehow.
Great news...at last (waited a month) the Squape Arise (YFTK from 3F) is here...and I like it. I like it a lot
    Thank you @ShowMeTwice

I mounted the coil a bit on the high side...boy it kicks in the throat. Makes very good flavor...dare I say, better than the Dvarw :p....well definitely a bit more than marginally.
Very interesting look on the internals. No dome. Here's the flavor factory...this covers the coil. Air holes on the side, chimney at the bottom.

No unscrewings. Line up two marks and the top cap comes off. This is a very well made tank...did I mention i'm wrapped with it

I don't have one yet, it's definitely on the list though:thumb:
I'm a member of the Vicious Ant Colony on Facebook and they have a classifieds section there of VA mods, I'm hoping one pops up just for me. I'll get it much cheaper:)

I think I’m a member of that FB group as well. However it’s rare for me to be on FB unless I’m keeping in touch with my biological family in Louisiana.

I've got a thunderstorm now as I type and my electricity has flickered off twice. I hope I don't lose it all together.

How were the thunderstorms last night? It was a long night between Haley freaking out over the thunder and her ......../colon issues.

For the 1st time in 4 years since I got her I gave her a very mild sedative (antihistamine really) about 2 hours before forecasted storms and it worked!!!! She was still nervous but not having a heart attack and panicking.

The poor thing has ptsd from being in a wire cage for 5 years at a puppy mill. So I’m trying to do everything I can that gives her a good and happy quality of life. The stories I could tell you about what terrifies her would have you shaking your head in disbelief.

I’ve been reluctant to try medications but seeing her level of anxiety especially with storms I think it’s only fair after trying every home remedy or pet shop items to give her something to take the edge off. And it did. So I’m pretty relieved for her.

    Feeling better….

    Great stuff Fred.
I notice you've got the chimney reducer in. I've never tried mine setup like that - should give it a go.

It's comes with these air 'reducers' that goes under the coil Charlie. There's a one small hole one to...I drilled that open to 2.5mm. That gives me a restricted DL draw that I like. I first tried the 4hole one and that gives a tightish DL...loose MTL.

    Uh chimney reducer...?
Don't know about that mate. What I do know is I just took the top cap off and I turned the inside chamber section....it can be taken apart to clean. It was a almighty ....... to get back to it's original position...so the base could fit in again. No markings as to where the base in relation to the top cap should be. Not a good design IMHO.

I would need to drill the single hole insert out to 3.5mm....do you think there's room to do that.

    Thanks Fred :thumb:

Nah it won't do that Charlie. Forgot to mention...you can use it without any inserts. It's a loose DL then....to loose for me.

What a doll! I feel the same about giving dogs meds, but really, in her case it’s the kindest thing you can do.

Todd's review makes it a bit clearer. I agree though - the Arise seems like an overly complex design in some ways. Look at the simplicity of a Dvarw. That's why I always have a Dvarw on the table but the Arise lives in a drawer. Just my opinion.

Very nice Fred. I'm happy you like your new Arise. I have my coil set to ~1.5mm above the air disc. Flavor, oh yes, and then some. I rate the flavor from the Arise as right up there with any of my top shelf RTA's. FWIW, the Squape Arise has been in my rotation since its release last Oct.

@Pigs is correct, your Arise does have the chimney reducer installed. I highlighted that for you in your photo. If you remove it you will get much more airflow. By default an authentic Arise does not have it installed. With it installed airflow is reduced to 3mm.
    -1cr.jpg

@charlie1465, Arise airflow is dual sided and it will very easily do a fine MTL (tight to very airy), RDL or DL. See the base photo, that is with no air disc installed, and is specifically for RDL or DL.
    base.jpg

AF all depends if you use any of the air discs. StattQualm does sell optional RDL air discs to further fine tune your airflow. As follows...
    RDL-air-discs.jpg

Additionally you can adjust the airflow by rotating the tank section. AF can be fined tuned to however you like it.
