No markings as to where the base in relation to the top cap should be.
On my authentic Squape Arise there is a marking on the base and one on the tank section clearly showing how they fit together.

See the photo I posted of the base above. There are two markings on it for aligning it with the tank section. There is one marking on the tank section.

I'm fairly certain those are shown in Todd's video.

And I just saw @Pigs post clearing it up with the chimney reducer. :thumb:
SMT I know you rate the Arise very highly. Rob Fisher too.
You helped me get the best out of mine when I first got a decent clone, but I suspect it's the type of atty that really needs the authentic for it to shine. The tolerances are so tight that any flaw will throw the whole thing a bit out of balance. I'd love to try an OG.

Todd's review makes it a bit clearer. I agree though - the Arise seems like an overly complex design in some ways. Look at the simplicity of a Dvarw. That's why I always have a Dvarw on the table but the Arise lives in a drawer. Just my opinion.

I disagree with you. IMO the Arise is a very straight forward design. In ways a much simpler design than a Dvarw (and some others).

Once you have it setup it only requires rotating the tank section to get to the base for coil maintenance or rewicking. There is no chimney or top cap to remove like there is with the Dvarw. And you can do that, on any angle, with a full tank (zero juice spill). You can only do that with a Dvarw if you turn it upside down. ;)

Yes, Swiss tolerances are tight. The Arise tolerances are like those of my Russian designed and German manufactured SvoeMesto Kayfun's. Same with the Greek designed Atmizoo Tripod's or Creek's.

FWIW I did buy a Dvarw DL FL clone before buying the authentic. Tolerances between the two are night and day as is the machining. After receiving the OG and comparing it to the clone, I gave my clone away.

I'm not saying anything that isn't already very well known... No cloner can match the tolerances, machining or quality of a high end RBA and keep prices low. With that said, there are still good clones out there.

Very nice Fred. I'm happy you like your new Arise. I have my coil set to ~1.5mm above the air disc. Flavor, oh yes, and then some. I rate the flavor from the Arise as right up there with any of my top shelf RTA's. FWIW, the Squape Arise has been in my rotation since its release last Oct.

@Pigs is correct, your Arise does have the chimney reducer installed. I highlighted that for you in your photo. If you remove it you will get much more airflow. By default an authentic Arise does not have it installed. With it installed airflow is reduced to 3mm.
View attachment 957961

@charlie1465, Arise airflow is dual sided and it will very easily do a fine MTL (tight to very airy), RDL or DL. See the base photo, that is with no air disc installed, and is specifically for RDL or DL.
View attachment 957963
AF all depends if you use any of the air discs. StattQualm does sell optional RDL air discs to further fine tune your airflow. As follows...
View attachment 957965
Additionally you can adjust the airflow by rotating the tank section. AF can be fined tuned to however you like it.
Thanks J....might be something for me then....if the tank size is big enough :)

How were the thunderstorms last night? It was a long night between Haley freaking out over the thunder and her ......../colon issues.

For the 1st time in 4 years since I got her I gave her a very mild sedative (antihistamine really) about 2 hours before forecasted storms and it worked!!!! She was still nervous but not having a heart attack and panicking.

The poor thing has ptsd from being in a wire cage for 5 years at a puppy mill. So I’m trying to do everything I can that gives her a good and happy quality of life. The stories I could tell you about what terrifies her would have you shaking your head in disbelief.

I’ve been reluctant to try medications but seeing her level of anxiety especially with storms I think it’s only fair after trying every home remedy or pet shop items to give her something to take the edge off. And it did. So I’m pretty relieved for her.

    Feeling better….

The storm passed without any further effects on electricity. We definitely needed the rain. Your pups is really a cutie. Too bad she had such a touch start in life, but she's got it so much better now.

I like that the juice stays safe when you dismantle to re-wick but the Arise is more complex because of the moving parts - juice flow/air flow/ tank removal. I know it's not rocket science but it's more finicky than a Dvarw. Nowhere near as complex as some RTAs - true.
I love a tank that just screws on and off from the deck (upside down or not ;)) and once the af is set, that's it. Dvarw is simpler!!:D

Squape Arise by default comes as 4ml or 2ml (TPD).

I bought the 4ml Arise direct but also bought the 2ml kit for when I want a more compact setup.

Arise is top fill with the easiest to use JFC on the market. Simply rotate the tank section and you are set, zero complexity. FWIW the Arise has less parts than just about any RTA out there (including a Dvarw :D).

StattQualm offer an 8ml tank option for the Arise.

Is 8ml big enough for you? ;)

Well then, we agree to see things differently from opposite sides of the world.  That's very refreshing.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Dvarw's and always have at least one in rotation.

They're all simple at our age T. ;)

Yes J! Maybe that's why we love this little micro world of rta designs, coils, wicks etc. So much simpler than the macro world out there.
Talking of agreeing to disagree...I always have a little laugh when I see the Vapefly and German 103 team name. Can you imagine 103 people all agreeing on an atty design!

Anyone bought from FT with either cc or PayPal lately? My SIL is getting the no c2c message, and says PP you have to buy gift cards in $50 increments- she has $57 in her cart. Any way around that?
I was using gift certificates for quite a while with FT but my last two purchases were done using PP. Maybe three weeks ago.

A while back folks in the "Are You Done Stocking Up" thread were discussing this. With items in their carts they were able to pay via PayPal by logging out and logging back in to FT. They said the PP option then showed up. I haven't bought anything from FT since last year when PP was the norm.

FT also offers $10 and 25, and custom gift cards--log in, go to the buy gift certificates page and choose custom.

Okay thanks all. I know I just bought something 3-4 weeks ago with PayPal no problem, but things could change... I told her to log out and try again, and if that doesn’t work maybe wait and try again. But she’s impatient, so to her wait means 2 minutes. :D. I’ve only been telling her to get what she needs for the past two years, so maybe a little panic will do her good. She’s still using K1 tanks and 30w ISticks and it was hard enough to convince her to go from the 20w to the 30w so I know I’m not going to be able to PIF much to her in the event she can’t get those.

Do the mtl have the same tiny fill hole? I had to use a syringe. I like it, but that’s way worse than I expected, that’s a deal breaker for me.

Yes, the mtl does have a small fill hole. I didn't know anything about it before I ordered it. I was able to use a 10ml plastic bottle to fill but it barely fits.

    Salutations fellow vaperinos.

Quick pop in to say and hope you all doing ok,you know the usual staying safe and healthy.

Not much free time lately, stupid identity theft case is so frustrating...last 2 weeks been with my lawyer getting all the paperwork together.

Not really worried since i got nothing to my name and this isn't a penal offense i am not worried for me but just for the time i am wasting trying to get it resolved.

Vaping wise well same ol' same ol',still waiting for my sourcemore package so i can review the Jackaroo kit and the Kriemhild II tank.
This afternoon it just changed to ''The shipment is handed over in bulk, final acceptance of goods to be confirmed'' so i am hoping i don't have to wait much more.

Few moments i have left i have been binge watching the tv series Royal Pains and listening to some songs from the 80's

Shiny wise i am still looking at the Arbiter Solo RTA by Oxva, depending on the finances maybe i will get one.
Will be using it exclusively in RDL mode so i am eager to see how it goes.

Not much more to say, wish i could spend more time here with you kind folks but life always seems to get in the way.

Best wishes to all of you :)
