It’s a pita azz that what was previously known as Advanced Vape Supplies didn’t add the stated ohms of their coils on the lid like Lightening Vape now WireOptim does.

I have over 25 round plastic containers all filled with prebuilt coils but no idea the ohms. Sure I can use steam crave to figure it out but just try to figure out the info on a complex coil without pulling your hair out.

I can kinda guess but for dual coils I’d really like more specific information.

The 20 or more of the WireOptim/Lightening Vape containers have all the info needed AS WELL as the estimated ohms. Plus their website contains a graph to use the coil info to get the ohms. AVS use to have similar graphs on their webpage when they sold prebuilt coils. But it was a pita to have to log on to my pc and figure out the coils ohms from the graph. I wish I had written the ohms on the bottom of the containers when I was calculating the estimated ohms.

It’s just so much easier for the builder to be able to grab a container and see “exactly” what the ohms range will be. Again very useful for dual coil builds.

Just needed to get that off my chest. It’s been bugging me. Yes, life is good if this is all I have ticking me off :lol::lol:!!!

I really like the dead rabbit r tanks but was having some leaking issues so set them aside. I think it was just the big temperature and barometric pressure changes we’ve been having. I just got one out and built it to give it another try.

How did it go?

what’s your favorite wide open DL atty that you’ve been using lately? I
For high watts probably the Zesthia single coil but there are no more anywhere i have tried to find them. Asmodus made it.
Also I still love the Freemax and am now using the Firemax. I have a ton of the .16 coils and use it daily.
I am pretty crazy about the Blotto too, I know you have one of those

I have been ...... by this many times. I started to match up the coil container with the order I made and mark them myself on the bottom of the plastic thing

Me to. Fantastic coils they have.
I'm watching the Marvos 80W kit at SM for more than a month now...waiting for it to get out of "pre order". I don't do those :-x
The coils for it is next level...apparently. Well actually i'm sure they will be.

    How did it go?

I’ve been using it intermittently since the weekend and no leaks. When I did the review it worked flawlessly for over a month on the same coil so bought a second one and eight packages of the coils and cotton strips so really had to figure it out. I’m going to call it a success.

I believe it uses the same coils as the other Marvos mods and they are really good coils. I reviewed the 80T, 80S, and the 60.

I'm officially DNA mod-less! Not by a conscious choice, but purely due to the higher price and me being a cheapa$$. But if I still used TC mode, I might've taken the plunge.

One thing I've been wanting to know about dna chips:

With the newer technology, mods are now firing at really fast speeds like 0.003secs. How fast does say a dna60 chipped mod fire in comparison?
I dunno Ange but I do know that even in power mode the DNA mods make for a great vape. I fiddle around a bit in escribe but even straight out of the box they just feel good to me. When I compare my SEVO 70 BBs to my DNA BB, and my SEVO 70 delros to my DNA delro, the DNA wins every time. Therions and Inbox too - just a great, responsive vape.

Agreed. That's why I don't buy just any mod lately....the quality vape a DNA provides, has spoilt me.
It's definitely a thing...certain mods makes for a better vape than others. I put Asmodus in the good quality ones to.
    Ah..and the Mixx

I haven’t heard much about the Freemax but I’ll take a look at it.

The single coil Blotto is a really good vape. I’m using the one I have in my daily rotations. Nice easy build deck too.

I really wish I had thought to do it. I have a label maker which I could’ve stuck to the bottom of the plastic container. Just the ohms so it wouldn’t be too large. I can’t understand why they’d leave out the most important piece of information!

I really enjoy their SS316L but I also bought a ton of SS430s when they stopped making them. They had them on clearance for next to nothing. The SS430 is better for temperature control mode from what I’ve read anyways.

Ok, after all this talk about the Fat Rabbit, and because I'm such a fan of the Dead Rabbit, I had to do it. I went and ordered one from FT. I got it in the SS.

Awesome!!! Great atty with lots of options withe dual airflow holes. From lightly restricted to VRY AIRY wide open! I’d suggest watching a build video or two because I found the wicking to be a bit tricky and I normally don’t have my issues with leaky RBAs. I’m not the only one either. Do a quick google search and you’ll find numerous comments from other Fat Rabbit owners.

To be fair the firing speed is not really the issue with a better vape. You're not going to notice the difference between .003 and .009 for example. Pretty much any chip fires fast enough it's the way it fires that matters. The DNA chip has preheat for example which leads to a smoother vape experience as it preheats the coil so that by the time you inhale the coil is running at an even temperature.

It's just a noticeably more enjoyable smoother vape....you've got to try one :)

If you have a digital multimeter you can set it to ohms and touch a lead to each leg.
I had to do this in the past, then wrote the single and dual resistances on the container.

Secondarily you could throw a coil in any rda on a mod without trimming the legs for the same result. Maybe like a drop or dead rabbit would be quick and easy.

I got a tracking number for the Innokin Kroma 217 kit that by some miracle I won. I'm just as excited by the Innokin Z Force tank as the 21700 Kroma. I thought at first they were bringing out double meshed z coils for it. But it looks like a separate ZF Coil:

I won one months ago, they sent tracking but it never came. I sent them a message and they sent a new tracking number, so hopefully this time I get it!

what’s your favorite wide open DL atty that you’ve been using lately? I’m totally addicted to the fat rabbit rta using ss316 3mm ID, Clapton at around 0.35 ohms. Big air. Big clouds! I don’t even vape it wide open on the side and bottom air flow it’s so airy. I keep 2-3 circles open on the side air flow and about 1/3 open on the bottom.

I’d need a MUCH beefier coil than what I have and at very low ohms with high watts. I don’t vape like that since my 1st year of vaping. I prefer a warm not hot juicy vape at 0.3 to 0.5 ohms mid 30s watts. That’s just perfect for me.

My top two at the moment are the Artemus and the Wotofo profile rdtas.
Big air, single coils, function like a tank with the flavor or a dripper. Super easy to build.
I don’t have either set up right now because I’m behind on my reviews and I miss them dearly.

Nah it's not to do with the resistance, I just prefer a cooler vape. And I usually use the least amount of wire I can get away with, but still have fantastic flavour and vapour.

What scares me, is having two raving hot coils to vape
But you are right, with a bigger deck and a ton of airflow - I really need to try it. At least once!

The challenge for me with dual coils is getting a high enough resistance without a whole lot of ramp up. I don’t generally like them with a mech, but I can get away with it if I can keep the resistance in the safe zone with my Lykans- 21700 battery performs better I think. But otherwise I pair with a dual battery, one of the better mods like a lost vape or asmodus.
I don’t find dual coils hot because of the extra air and space, and I like a cooler vape too.
