Good day everyone! I’ve been under the weather and need to catch up on a couple of pages. Hopefully you’ve all done your best shiny support and there’s lots of new purchases being made. Also do what I do and buy at least 2 or more of every item either on purpose or accidentally lol!

I’m waiting on vape mail but tracking is tricky with these alternative shipping systems.

I ordered ANOTHER Asmodus Amighty from element vapes to join the other two I have. I already have the gunmetal (very sharp looking imo) and the all black (very cool in my middle aged eyes ) so now I ordered the gradient blue/ purple one. I wasn’t too sure about the color combo when it first came out but now I’m broadening my tastes. And now I really like it.

I REALLY like the AMighty and they are almost disappearing from shops so I’m just happy to find one. I highly recommend them as I’ve said previously. I don’t think they ever got popular or at least not talked much about here .

i also ordered the Recurve 2 in rainbow. I had thought the blue one would look good on the blue Amighty. Unless it’s just a different hue of blue. and the blue wouldn’t look good on many other of my mods so I opted for rainbow. It should still like good plus it’ll match more of my mods. That’s the best thing about the rainbow coloring especially the stabwoods with strong color swirls.

I never liked rainbow color but as I said I’m broadening my scope lol!

So who knows when I’ll get it. All I know it’s been shipped!

I ordered a battery tester during the insomnia hours this morning. Hopefully it will give me a more accurate idea of which of my older 18650s need to be benched.

But I mainly bought it because I'm a geek. And I love geeky toys.

oh me too! I absolutely love techno geeky stuff! So now I may need one too! What kind did you get?

Ok need some help from yall that vape mtl.
I have always preferred dl so cant figure this one out.
Trying to make a long story short here...
My other half bought a pack of smokes again, i have had her try virtually everything i have. Including a nord with a 1.4 mtl coil and a 18mg. She is um picky.
She says they are all too wet. I had virtually given up when i picked up a disposeable for her. She likes it to the point ive had to get another cause she killed it lol.
I can live with this cause she is not on the stinkies.
I never liked salts, so is that what she likes?
For yall that mtl, are the salts a drier vape to you?
Id like to find a refillable etc but until i can find what it is that makes the diposeables good to her i feel id spend a small fortune....

Not to mention the disposable she likes is 16 bucks and lasted like 8 days.

Don’t know if it helps, but my wife was the same, didn’t like anything until I finally got her a Vuse, those are a little pricey, but worth it until they dropped the juice she liked. Got her several uwell pods, she uses the uwell crown pod right now, likes tribeca from halo. Hasn’t smoked in couple years now.
Good luck, keep trying, you’ll find something that works for her, the hard part is just getting anyone started and accepting that vape just might work for them too.

The battery tester you bought will give you the battery voltage at X point in time (examples: 3.2V, 3.7V, 4.2V). It will give you what I would call a very basic IR reading similar to what a decent battery charger would give you.

From my understanding (take it with a grain of salt) if you measure the IR when a battery is fully charged (4.2V) you will get one IR reading. If you pull the battery from your charger at half charge you'll get a different IR. Test the battery when it's at 3.2V and you will get a completely different reading. From my understanding that is normal.

Regulated mods internal electronics have a low battery cutoff programmed into the board. Each manufacturer sets their cutoff differently. A DNA mod lets you set the battery cutoff via Escribe.

How can a battery get to 2.5V? An extreme example would be vaping a mech mod to well below what we would call a weak hit thus damaging the battery or worse. Although I doubt that anyone would get any kind of worthwhile hit below 3.5V. But we know there are dumb azz people out there.

Lithium batteries undergo unwanted chemical reactions when discharged below 3V causing their internal resistance to be permanently and significantly raised. Their capacity will suffer as well, meaning that they won't accept the same amount of charge anymore. When such an over-discharged cell is "brought back to life", it will likely become chemically unstable, creating a risk of a short circuit developing inside the cell.

Even worse, assuming that you measured 2.5V at no load, your batteries have dropped even lower when they were being discharged and have subsequently rebounded to 2.5V after the load was removed.

The minimum discharge voltage varies between various sites, datasheets, etc. but 3.0V - 2.7V is an empirical value. If discharged under this voltage the battery may be permanently damaged.

To get the precise value of min discharge voltage, consult the datasheet of your batteries.

Mooch has some great videos explaining battery drainage and the dangers/damage.

I learn so much from watching his videos. Loads of stuff I never knew I should think about when dealing with batteries.

Well it seems my beloved Aspire Prime X is no more...just suddenly died. It just stopped working and don't start anymore. Damn I loved this thing...and its not even a year old
Best of is I have both the nautilus and BP pods...with loads of spare coils...plus two RBAs.

Fred did you try disassembling it and cleaning the contacts? I know the screws are probably tiny but seems like you've got nothing to lose at this point. Might just fix it. Fingers crossed.
