My understanding is that there are regular BVC and mini BVC nautilus coils. I don't remember which I got, but they are used in different tanks. I believe I got the non-BVC coils. I don't even remember the resistance I got... I think 1.2 ohms? Are the bvc coils different? I only use the nautilus 2s coils.
They are really two completely different standards.I'm also surprised that someone hasn't created an AIO tank that fits both a Boro and dotRBA slot. I feel like it shouldn't be all that hard to do. I know there are adapters and such that you can get.
They do have this which means it's possible. They are really two completely different standards.
Boro gets 510+ from the bottom, while - is obtained by screwing the top screw, i.e. the earthing goes through the chimney etc.
On the Dot there is a spring-loaded connection, and + and - go to the atty from the bottom.
In terms of dimensions, a boro is 16 x 26 x 39.4mm, while a dot is 16 x 20 x 35.4mm.
There are adapters to go from the boro tank size down to the Dot size, but I don't quite see the point in going from a 5ml atty down to the small dot tank. They do have this which means it's possible.

The tank would need a negative connector from the drip tip back down to the base somehow when using the boro tank, but I think it would be worth it for the extra mL's of juice.
That's why I was thinking if the dot tank was expanded to fill the size of a boro instead of wasting that space with an adapter, you'd be able to gain mL's. It would be useful if there was a specific dot RBA that was liked over a boro bridge. If both tanks came in a single kit, then it would be useable in both devices. There are adapters to go from the boro tank size down to the Dot size, but I don't quite see the point in going from a 5ml atty down to the small dot tank.
When DotMod came out with DotAIO there were many who criticized them for not following the boro standard. That's why I was thinking if the dot tank was expanded to fill the size of a boro instead of wasting that space with an adapter, you'd be able to gain mL's. Just another reason to make an RBA that fits both devices, lol. There are too many stores that cannot tell the difference between Boro and Dot, that everything becomes chaotic.
Yes, we can start aAnyone know if we are allowed to start a petition style thread? We would all have to pitch in bumping it to keep the thread on page 1 of new posts. Of course this would be a last resort only if they don't remove or change location of the sms club banner within a few days.
I don't think you should expect too much from the industry, remember that it is rare that they design adapters to carry a stock coil in a boro tank, and it is however easier than making a bridge that fits in both dot and boro tanks .Just another reason to make an RBA that fits both devices, lol.
I'm using mostly the .7 ohm 2s coils. My understanding is that there are regular BVC and mini BVC nautilus coils. I don't remember which I got, but they are used in different tanks. I believe I got the non-BVC coils. I don't even remember the resistance I got... I think 1.2 ohms?
