I found a white box of them in my work desk drawer last week. I can probably find more in my stash boxes around the house. Really took me for a trip back in time.I think I still have some in an old tool box. I think they were eitehr 801 or 301's. They are the bigger ones. I might have some 510 cartos too. I'd have to look.
I have been doing a little drooling over the stabwood mods that Fidola posted on the classifieds but doubt that I could afford any of them. There's a Duke II that caught my eye but I'm sure it's more than I can spend.Careful @hittman . Before you know it you'll be drooling over brightly coloured chunks of high-end wood. Brunhildes multiplying on your work bench.
Excuse this rant:
In predicably bad news, our federal government is putting the vaping jackboots on. Major clampdown. Imports to be banned, plain packaging, pharmacy only etc.
"Vaping without a prescription is ILLEGAL!"
they bark into the microphones. ( no doctors - that is zero - can be found who have a licence to prescribe).
" The Greatest Health Crisis to Hit Our Country In A Generation!" they chant. "11 out of 10 teens admit to vaping!!" they shout.
"Vape detectors to be installed in school toilets across the nation!" they promise.
Minister after minister rolled out in front of the camera with stern looks on their faces.
They even changed the language; multiple times on the news I heard gov representatives and tame medicos say "smoking a vape" (first time ever) , deliberately muddying the waters for the general public.
A cynic might point out that our treasurer (just days ago) let slip a lament about the 3.3 billion dollar loss of tobacco tax revenue due to the switch from smoking to vaping.
That same cynic might also point out that this multimedia bombardment came on the same day that interest rates were raised again, against market expectations and advice. Don't look there...look HERE!!
Even though there's no real surprise, the lies and disinformation make me so angry I want to shout at the screen. Ignorant people swallowing the bs happily, fingers wagging at the evil vapers.
You know that's worse for you than smoking!!!
All good questions. Is it active immediately or do you have some time to get some supplies in before it starts? Do they check all packages coming in through customs? Perhaps you could find a vaping buddy to send you stuff. I don't know how they are possibly going to crack down on people vaping? Are they supposed to carry a prescription card with them at all times? Seems pretty ridiculous.
If they really wanted to make it a money maker then to me it would be smarter to just put taxes on it and leave the stores open. All good questions.
Personally I have supplies to last many years and feel confident I could get new hardware in the post.
I think the first and easist thing they'l do is crack down on convenience stores selling disposable 60mg (labelled 0 nic) vapes. They'll probably shut down the bricks and mortar vape stores and local online retailers too, but would need to get legislation through parliament to do that.
I'm guessing it'll be fast and visible then a slow squeeze.
Some companies will get fat contracts to install "vape detectors" in government schools. Stuff like that.
Then they'll legislate to tax the crap out of whatever controlled market remains.
We have a nanny state here that often shocks visiting Americans - they can't believe the number of rules and regulations enforced.
such CRAPOLA!Excuse this rant:

Good morning, Dan.Good Morning Shiny People![]()
Have a great day.Not unless they follow the US in trying to forbid selling open systems. Open systems obliterates tax profits. If they really wanted to make it a money maker then to me it would be smarter to just put taxes on it and leave the stores open.
Thanks FranGood morning, Dan.Have a great day.
