Good morning folks,

I bought my atty #21 and #22 this weekend, will keep an eye on the website when the order is packed and shipped. After HoV, it will probably be a few days before everything is back to normal times.

Are they out yet? I can see that the pictures are from a conference, but I can't find anything on the Pipelines store or the Dicodes main site. This is one of the form factors I thought the market wouldn't come up with...
Around 2 weeks from now it is said.

G'morning folks.

Was about to go out the door for the usual, meds for my pops, food, gas, etc, etc and the delivery guy knocked at the door.

Got me some nice shinies:

IMG_20230508_100744.jpg

A Pulse V2 (Obsidian Black),Nitrous rda and as bonus the purple drip tip/beauty ring.
All in Black because he knows its the color i tend to choose when getting mods and tanks, purple is just there to add a little something something on the side, can't be devoid of color can't we.

He wants to remain anonymous but he is an Irish (lives in Spain) subscriber from my Youtube channel, said that he felt bad each time i mentioned me sucking at wicking.
2 minutes after delivery i got an email saying there is nothing easier to wick than the Nitrous RDA,i just got to get use to the squonking.

Big shout out to my Irish friend, will record a video later on for my Youtube channel to thank him once i get this all setup.

2 Questions thou:

-Is it really that easy to wick?
-Got some 2.5mm coils (0.40'ish ohm in single),will those work well with this RDA?

Off to do some stuff in town,be back in a bit.

Someone recently listed an Ennequadro B22 (AIO/Boro) with DNA60 in one of the B/S/T groups for nearly half price (299.90€ RRP). Mint condition. The seller is well known and has many vouches. He buys and sells a lot of vape gear. LOLz

The B22 has excellent reviews. The price does have me thinking.

View attachment 995121

It sure would be very nice with the new Atmizoo SteamShell RBA.

Hmmm . . . do I, or don't I - - - ( rhetorical  )

Thinking . . .  . . . AIO/Boro mod  . . . is resistance futile???
I love AIO/Boro mods. And I stay current with what's out there. A few years back I decided that rabbit hole was the one I was going to avoid. Cuz??? It's a very deep rabbit hole.

View attachment 995123

In the last however many months I've gone from a solid NO, to hey I do like the mech AIO/Boro mods. Even found a couple I nearly purchased. Was within a pico second of buying one.

Then this B22 shows up and I'm like . . . seriously thinking about buying it.

Stoopid rabbit holes.
Yep, and with a SnailTank it makes a nice package.
Mark Todd had Steam Shell unboxing on his patreon, he started with Air Pin 3.0mm, but the Steam Shell was more airy than what he was used to, 2.5mm in practice was more like 3.0. Just something to keep in mind in case you go this route.

So moment of clarity, had 4 RTA's on my desk and i took them apart, cleaned them, dried them and put them in their respective boxes and then stored them away.

RTA's for me are dead,RTA's can go to a place where the sun don't shine....I AM DONE.

But there is no yin without no yang so yeah the Nitrous RDA:

CriminalGroundedDrafthorse-max-1mb.gif

Took it out of the can (yeah weird it comes in a can lol),nice wash and dry and got time to put the coil.
Zero problems, then time to wick...first try?
DONE!!!

This little RDA delivers and oh boy does it deliver, first couple of hits my toes curled downwards!!

IMG_20230508_140640.jpg

So yeah,all done with RTA's.
Squonk part i just have to get use to,I'm a lefty so it is kinda awkward but totally worth it.
Not going back to RTA's ever again unless i need to review them and then i will just setup, review and then store it away.

Not going to lie thou, have got a couple of ''wet'' hits but that is to be expected, total virgin when it comes to squonking.
Using a single coil at 0.42,airflow almost fully open (just 2 holes closed on the top) and at 33 watts and oh my god is it tasty!!!

Only con?
The drip tip,way too short for someone that has full bodied and kissable latin lips like me,tried using a purple drip i had but there is a small gap,not sure if its usable like that:

gap.jpg

Well anyway sorry for the long post but i am giddy as a school girl, believe or not this whole wicking thing was just pissing me off.
Now i am sticking with this and that is one less thing i have to stress and worry about.

cheers

I like rda's and squonking there's nothing easier or more forgiving than coiling and wicking an rda, plus I can't break 'em. Also the black obsidian is the best choice, it's kind of grippy.:)

There's not many ambidextrous squonk mods around, which kind of sucks.

Only one I'm aware of at the moment is the Lost Vape Centaurus BF, Dovpo did do the Topside but has discontinued it a while back.

I'm glad you found something that you are happy with. I'm sure there is an art to it or something but I've never had issues wicking any rdas. I set up two mtl rtas the other day for testing and one wicks and works great and the other one isn't wicking well. Identical tanks but different coils in each. I would think after all this time I could wick an rta correctly on the first try but it just goes to show that some are more forgiving than others. I can definitely understand your frustration with rtas.

    Yep,agree on the sucking part.

Been trying to use my right hand but it just doesn't feel right plus i spend so many hours on my pc i need my right hand for my mouse.

For now i just turn it sideways and use my thumb to squeeze the bottle, not the perfect solution but it lets me use my left hand.

-Got some 2.5mm coils (0.40'ish ohm in single),will those work well with this RDA?

I do not have a Nitrous RDA, but I do have many RDA's. An RDA is an RDA, I have yet to find one that is difficult to setup and wick. They are all very easy to coil and wick. Yes, those coils will work fine.

    As to squonking . . .

Tip #1: Remove the RDA top cap, then press the squonk bottle, lightly, to get a feel for how much juice is going into the RDA. That will help you to understand how much to squonk. You don't want to over-squonk or your RDA will leak and you will experience spitback. You only want to squonk enough so your wick is fully saturated (a wee bit extra won't hurt).

If you choose to run your Pulse V2 in simple wattage mode, you will notice that as the hits get weaker, it's time to squonk. Over a short period of time you will get a feel for how much to squonk with your Nitrous RDA.

Tip #2: I squonk (squeeze more juice into an RDA) after every hit. That way the wick stays saturated and I never experience dry hits. I use both regulated and mech squonkers every day.

Tip #3: If you want to completely AVOID dry hits then use temperature control. TC is very easy to setup on every mod I've ever used. Yep, some tweaking for personal preference is required. It does not take long to get TC running to ones satisfaction. I run TC on most of my current setups in rotation.

IMHO, it is nearly impossible to beat a good squonk and RDA setup. The quality of vape and the flavor one gets from an RDA simply cannot be beat. Drop-in coils? Nope, not even close, not in the same league, at all. Some RBA's do come close, but close only counts in horseshoes.

    Morning everyone,

Not much actual soul-sucking work today for me besides planning on how much of my soul I will need to sacrifice over the next 3 months for Shiny Money.

I'm more used to the Kayfun X now. Tank sections stopped leaking so that was just a break-in issue as I suspected. I think the top cap leaking a drop is inevitable due to the design. I don't think the leaking is because of anything to do with pressure within the actual tank body. There should be negative pressure in the tank, after all. I think it's because sliding the top cap closed pushes just enough liquid out that a single drop seeps out over the next few minutes.

I upgrade my previous score of 2.5/5 to a 3.5/5. A solid C because the X deviates from their track record of refining a design into elegant functionality, nor does it iterate on any of Svomesto's proven strengths. Yes, it vapes well. But it's just not for the history books because their previous designs are simply better. I can't give it a 4/5 because there are too many flaws: (1) the Aerokon is great, but I think it could be used more effectively (more on that below), (2) the juice flow stopper (not really a control) is a flawed design compared to a screwed design because it creates pressure in the chamber, (3) rotating to align the X is pure gimmick and the X never seems to align right, and (4) the top cap creates a problem by solving a problem literally no one complained about. It's like instead of iterating over the Prime, they added marketing gimmicks to the KFL+ design. I think they would have been better off making a 24-25mm Kayfun Prime. That would have given it 5/5 for sure. It pains me to see them double down on the X by making the 22mm version.

I'm no engineer, but perhaps it's possible to use the Aerokon more effectively by combining it with the Prime JFC. The point of the Aerokon was to improve adjustability while keeping the compactness of the KFL+, which is great because people don't tend to adjust airflow on the fly. So the idea would be to use the Aerokon while retaining the Prime JFC and the screw on top cap. This would eliminate the need to pull/push on the atty, while retaining the most important adjustability according to how often the functions are needed. As a rayon user and someone who actually adjusts wattage throughout the day to hit different vaping profiles, the combination of secure AFC, on-the-fly JFC, with more compactness than the Prime would be absolutely ideal. And please make it in 24mm-25mm!

If you reached the bottom, thanks for reading my rant :)

BTW, I'm still thinking about the B22. The seller listed it once before (higher price). If he doesn't sell it this time - I may make an offer. TBD. ;)

I've seen before in B/S/T groups where those selling mods (or RBA's) start with high prices, an item doesn't sell, then they eventually relist at a lower price. Same thing happened with the Limelight Mechanics Freehand mech squonker I purchased the other day.

For me, it's a game. I am very patient with waiting. LOLz.

Even I was thinking what was going on with the Kayfun X @OnTheFidele, what they've done with the top-cap is "interesting" to say at least and definitely unnecessary.

Unless you factor in planned obsolescence, as the seal for the slide fill is proprietary.

I have been trying out a clone of the Taifun GT V recently though, JFC has been dropped from the 4 which can be awkward.

Wicking is still relatively easy, coil placement is better, chamber has been reduced and the use of the GX airdisks as they call them to alter airflow is a good idea.

Good to hear you've got it all working!!!

Squonk part i just have to get use to,I'm a lefty so it is kinda awkward but totally worth it.

I'm ambidextrous, but prefer squonking with my left hand. Never had any problems adjusting to right-handed squonkers, only takes a minute or two to adjust, for me.

Being ambidextrous, they loved me on baseball teams!!! Hitting from either side was a breeze for me. I also pitched both ways.

Anyhow back to squonkers . . . There are several squonkers out there that were manufactured for right or left handed people. The Eleaf Squeeze 2, Psyclone Mods SqEvo, Dos Equis Squonker by JD Tech and Asmodus Luna are a few examples (I have one or more of each). There are many more.

Not going to lie thou, have got a couple of ''wet'' hits but that is to be expected, total virgin when it comes to squonking.

You will get the hang of it in short order Mate!!!

Wow . . . alrighty then, I'm not even gonna say what I was going to say!!!
LOLz, those lips were made for..........................
