Thanks so much for your tips, and the dimension of the Kumo, 2mm shorter than the Cabeo.

You probably have the sandblasted Kumo, satin I think it's called.
Yep, you can polish it up to be as shiny as the SS version, or even higher.
You have to disassemble and take out the PSU first, reassemble it without the psu. If I remember correctly, it also came with a metal tank, if so, put it in.

Now, coming to the way I would choose to proceed, a drill I hope you have.
A bit of rubber, or tape, around the 510 connection, enough to protect the threads well, and maybe a couple extra round with the tape.
Then in the drill with it, see that it rotates fine without any special throw. The finer it rotates, the better and faster result you get.

Sanding paper, I would start with grit around p240 -360.
Then it is up to you how high a gloss you want, but if you gradually increase the grit, the next step up will be p400-600.
If you finish with P1200, it is a mirror finish.
That's the info I need!
I'm going to do that. Thanks @Tor R .
Any successes (or lessthan...) will be posted as photos. Hopefully this weekend.

This one was satin as yours, I got the wrong o-ring and cracked the glass, so I had to disassemble it with pliers and well, it didn't turn out pretty.
I've only gotten to step one.
Later, when the wife gets up and I can start messing with the drill, I should finish the job.

Hope to see the photos. If I get mine even close to that, I'll be happy.
What's the atty?

Good morning ladies & gentlemans,

Hope to see the photos. If I get mine even close to that, I'll be happy.
What's the atty?
Kayfun lite or v3.1, not sure if there was any difference between them.
I'm not into the old Kayfuns.
There should possibly be something from Kayfun 4 that can be used, but everything was before my time.

You will get the Kumo shiny and fine, it takes time, and you have to take breaks because it gets hot.
Should you have something like this from Eleaf or similar lying around?
If you have, you've made a perfect transition from drill to atty.
Or, a raiser will do the same jobb

Good morning shiny people. I have a Dovpo Tribute coming for review. I'm excited to get another mod for review. I do have one pod review to finish then I'll be caught up.
Love a C frame, I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the Tribute.

It looks like a Kayfun Lite Plus with the optional SvM drip tip (2014).

KFL+ parts.

The Kayfun 4 is a completely different design - its parts will not work with a KFL+. The Kayfun 4 was seriously over-engineered. There has never been another RTA (from any manufacturer) that had so many parts.

This one was satin as yours, I got the wrong o-ring and cracked the glass,

The KFL+ shipped with the plastic tank section installed (no glass). The metal tank section was included in the box. Science of Vape made a couple aftermarket glass tank sections for the KFL+ and KFL+v2.

Are you in need of a tank section Tor?

Thanks a lot for the information mate.
So, if I understand this correctly, it was with lite [plus] that adjustable AF came?
v3.1 as well as lite did not have adjustable af screw, right?

v3.1 as well as lite did not have adjustable af screw, right?

The 3.1 has adjustable airflow via a screw on the side of the build deck. The juice fill port is also on the side of the deck. I don't recall if the 3.1 and 3.1 ES used a standard 510 drip tip. I seem to recall a screw-in drip tip, pretty sure there was an adapter for using a standard 510 DT.

The KFL deck is shorter in height versus the 3.1 making the RTA shorter in height versus the 3.1. No adjustable airflow. The juice fill port was moved to the bottom of the deck. Uses a standard 510 connection for the drip tip.

The KFL+ an adjustable airflow screw was added to the bottom of the deck. Standard 510 connection for the drip tip. Juice fill port still on the bottom of the deck.

KFL+V2 has the same fill port and adjustable airflow as the KFL+. The changes are as follows: An o-ring was added to the fill port screw to prevent juice leaks. The inside of the top cap is recessed allowing for about 1/2 ml more juice capacity. The clear tank section is taller height-wise without making the RTA taller. The drip tip has a slightly larger bore. The juice channels on the deck are slightly deeper versus the KFL+.

Considering putting out a wanted ad to see if anyone would be willing to part with their Super-T ELA. I have tons of spare parts for mine, so I won't post it until I'm sure I'll pull the trigger at a fair price.

Also looking to test Tripod 2 and Cabeo clones, perhaps throw a Kayfun X clone to compare to the real thing. Why do I hang out with you guys...?

I don't remember seeing an adapter like that before - wonder if one came in an eleaf product? I can see how screwing in the 510 of the atty and gripping the large knurling with the drill chuck would make the job easier. If I can't find something like that I'll go ahead with your suggestion of rubber and tape to protect the 510 thread.

Yep!
My 20 watt iStick came with one.
It looks like the 30 and 40 watt versions did as well. I skipped those - my next step up was the MVP 3.0 Pro.
(which came with one of those adapters too!)
