I never tried the X but have a large stockpile of geekvape hardware that I accumulated from purchasing and reviewing before I had a falling out with them.
I've often wondered what the plus sides to reviewing were. I assume there has to be positives, although I do know their (all brands, generally speaking) reviewers must conform to an upselling.
I might be convinced to let go of some things if there’s something you’re looking for. I’ll try to pay attention to your posts here on this thread.
How far back was it when you started reviewing for the GV brand?

Good Morning all. First injection of caffeine> is in route. (yawn)

I have a mild case of "itus" I'm finding, which sent me on a hunting expedition. My first (excluding eleaf isticks) dual battery mod was an Aegis-X. It was a nice mod, until it fell in my driveway...then not knowingly, I ran over with my tractor. It got a severely fractured screen and blew the button faceplate off, but it still worked on previous settings. I finally bought another Aegis-X to replace it, and all was good again. Since, my affliction for them has caused my mod selection to grow. LoL
Welcome to the Shiny thread! LOL

I've a question. Why are there SO MANY threads of which are closed/locked? Are they remnants of past website updates, and basically archived? There are a lot of topics I'd like to have left comment or inquired about given situations.

Also, the vendors sections and their products, I gather the vendors pay for a time allotment for advertising (along with providing their minimal support), but the thread flat getting locked seems redundant for further collaboration?

The positive aspect for me is that I get to try new devices and hopefully help fellow vapers decide if what I’m reviewing is something they would like or not. I am honest in my reviews and if the company doesn’t like it then they can find someone else to do it. They don’t pay anything for the reviews. Just the merchandise that is sent. It’s a labor of love and not a money maker unless you’re a popular YouTube reviewer.

I started reviewing for geekvape around the time that the very first aegis was released. They were great to deal with at first. However, a few years ago they dropped a lot of reviewers and stopped responding to emails. I got in touch with a marketing manager who told me that the reviews on ECF were “fake”. That was the end for me. I will never review another geekvape product. Myself and other reviewers put in probably 5-8 hours of our time for each review with no pay. Simply because we like to do it. I still have some great companies that I review for and geekvape can take a flying leap as far as I’m concerned. They haven’t come out with anything original in a long time anyway. When Justin left geekvape, they just kept regurgitating the same stuff over and over.

I agree with you. In general, there's a huge void in the marketing. Particularly, the language barrier..for sake of better words, which is why they always need "pictures" or "videos".

Justin leaving, now the GV line-up being regurgitated makes sense. That, and their pursuit of cheaper/lighter, touch screens? Haha. GV is trying to keep up with evolution. Problem is, they deviated way off in left field chasing the dollar, when quality and evolution should have grown from the first two mods they made available. Their R&D (customer feedback as well) went in the crapper.

Meanwhile they feed off scraps from the past, of which they discontinued.

My opinion. All the glamorous, beautiful, shiny, it's all lipstick on a pig, even though I have three with that shiny colored chrome.

Per @classwife "the SYSTEM automatically closes threads if there have been no responses for 90 days."

If there is a somewhat recent thread that is closed you can ask her to open it for you. Just tag @classwife and ask.

Personally, I have all Geekvape mods. Naturally I'm drawn to that vendors area to join in. I wouldn't think (unless a vendor pays for advertising) the forum category would stay open.

Edit- I almost forgot. Thanks for your response to my curiosity.

In my vapocalypse stash I have 4 Geekvape OG Aegis Solo's. Very nice mods.

After the founder and chief designer, Justin Lei, left GV to start OXVA GV turned into a total crap company. They've gone downhill ever since Justin left. As has been very well documented.

Since losing Justin, GV continues to regurgitate his OG designs.

He was the one that designed the aegis and some of their best stuff. These days about all they are making are pods and disposables.

I was out of the loop for a long time. Justin's leaving, I'm sure was due to managements thinking they could do just as well without his creativity. A pathetically typical approach that I've read happen with other companies. It was good on Justin too move on.

I would love to have the first release designed by Justin.
Still got my original Aegis 100W (20650). Been my trusty build stand for years.
Geekvape had a tradition of creative head designers. Before Justin Lei was a guy called Stefen Zhang who later went off to found VV. He designed some good attys like the Avocados.

Morning shinies, especially you new ones ;)

I'm down to only tracking 2 items. And both the Miboxer c4-12 and fake Mobb ms rba have landed in NZ
MiBoxers are nice little chargers. Mine died a few years ago.
    Good Morning Shiny People
