I’m sad :( . One of my Revenant Delta squonkers gave up the ghost this week. Unit was working fine then just wouldn’t turn on again. Tried multiple different batteries but nothing. It must’ve passed in its sleep.

This is actually the first mod that I’ve lost since I started vaping 6 years ago well except the vape pen that self destructed that started auto firing and never stopped. I thought the battery was venting and chucked it out the door when I couldn’t get it to stop. I couldn’t touch it it it was so hot. Very scary especially for a noobie.

It’s the reason I don’t leave my mods on when I’m not using them. I use to take the batteries out. I just happened to be walking by the table it was on when it started firing! I wasn’t even using it like two weeks ago when the Centaurus auto fired. All that needed was an alcohol saturated q tip swabbed around the firing button and it hasn’t happened since. I still turn it off though.

Ever since that 1st auto fire experience I don’t trust these chinese mod’s safety features. I’m not going to risk home and limb counting on these cheap chips. I also keep multiple fire extinguishers in my house.
Sorry to hear that one of your Revenant squonkers died, Sara :(

The only things I can think of are giving the battery contacts a good cleaning, if you haven't tried that, and maybe plug it in like to charge it by cable and see if it might turn on.

For years I always left the batteries in my mods all the time (only two or three mods then) but for the last couple of years I always pull the batteries when I won't be home.
I only have one device with a built in battery currently which I am considering moving on for peace of mind.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,

I don't have big plans for the day, my bb 1 has now got a dna 60c chipset and is up and running, I took out the VapeSnail and removed the chamber reduction and like it even better now.

I've started on bb purple which will also get dna 60c, it won't be long before the soldering iron needs to be heated up.

Good afternoon Shinies.

More rebuilding to do. The Brunhilde was a wick destroying machine for a couple days until I figured out it was a persistent hotspot and the coil needed replacing.

@Daniel Forsyth do you ever take the insulator off your Brunhildes when you clean them? Thought it (the one around the post) used to pop right off (but maybe I'm thinking of a different atomizer). Tried gently prying, then soaping it up, but it still wouldn't budge. Maybe I'm meant to leave it alone.

    Morning shinies ;)

I think I'll need this grey coloured dot 100 next.

I think DotMod's products are some of the best that come from mass produced companies.
Their Box mods and AIO are gorgeous.
I don't own a dotAIO v2 but am considering getting one. I've got a few different dot rbas that I bought for my Tita.

In terms of money, it is best to buy one of the limited editions, the price is the same as the standard versions, but the standard red, black, blue are all lovely colours.
I really like DotAIO v2 after I bought mk mods clear panels, makes atty and battery wrap pop.

I haven't ever removed the insulator from my Brunhilde's when cleaning, I only take apart the parts that are easy! My insulators have never moved in my Brunhilde's so I would just leave them alone :thumb:

My latest bb is now up and running with the dna 60 c chipset:
    IMG_1986.jpeg

Then all three have received the dna 60c chipset, and I feel that I am done with boro.
I took the time to solder a 5 pin connection on the chipsets.
If I remove the screen panel and tilt up the screen, I can plug in and connect the mods to escribe.

Now I don't quite know what the next projects will be, maybe back to the Mixxes?

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m definitely going to try that. It’s not my favorite mod by far but I still like it and it wasn’t cheap!

I was eyeballing that one but overhang bugs me too much. Handsome little mod though.
That overhang would drive me nuts. I wonder why they decided to use a larger atty on that mod for advertisements. Odd.

The blaze aio in gunmetal. About a week after I ordered it they released the dna version.
How much more was the DNA version.

I’ve got to be honest but I rarely notice any difference between a dna chip or most other brands. I no longer use temp control and rarely get a dry hit. I know just by vaping it when the wick is getting too hot getting ready for a dry hit :w00t:!!!!!! Even when I use a 75 C control or replay I’m still tweaking my settings. Keeps it interesting.

After DNA, Yihi, I think that Vaporesso chips are in the running as top 5 from my experience anyways.

So yeah I’m going to bed now.

Great work Tor. You've broken new ground with your approach to that connector.

I don’t know how much more the dna version is. I saw the dna version on IG about a week after I ordered mine. I didn’t bother to look up prices because I won’t order a second one most likely.
