A DamnVape Nitrous in polished stainless steel. They included two extra drip tips as well!!! I’m so excited since I love the ones I have but they’re in black.

I did a little looking around tonight at prices on the blaze with the dna80c and I no longer regret just buying the regular blaze. They want over double of what I paid for mine at most sites I looked at. I wouldn’t pay 150-200 for the dna version.

I've often found that the performance of my DNA devices simply doesn't warrant the extra expense. A good example of this would be my Lost Vape Thelemas. I paid around $160 for the DNA250c version when it was first released and around $45 each for a couple of the subsequent Quest 200W version. Since initially setting them up, I've barely touched the OS on any of them. The proprietary Lost Vape chip is perfectly fine and I don't notice any real difference in performance.

Unfortunately, the noticeable difference between the two models is in the durability of the finish on their cases. I'm in no way hard on my devices but the paint began to wear off of my DNA version within a couple of months of normal use. Both of my Quests are fine and look relatively new by comparison after a couple of years of regular use. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest.

    Morning shinies ;)

Does anyone know of any of the off-the-wall vape sites I may buy a few Asmodus Lustro's? I have tried 3Fvape, Sourcemore, Health Cabin.

Nah I haven't seen them at any UK or Chinese stores for ages. My guess would be the classifieds and maybe see if @Fidola13 has any.

Sara? Any Lustro's? Not looking for Stabwood.
I think last we talked about your collection I was losing faith fast in Asmodus Minikins but I have found a new love for the Lustro. I had two brand new in a box for "later" and got one out when I broke my Vaporesso Gen 200.

I couldn’t agree with you more. When I got into box mods all I wanted was DNA devices and I’d play around with Escribe.

The more time went on and the more non DNA mods I was using I realized for myself that I really couldn’t tell the difference between a DNA mod and a chip from a “reputable” mod. Especially the Omni chips that Vaporesso was making at the time their Revenger series came out.

I will say though that I was really into temp control at the time and the DNA chip worked great but so didn’t the Yihi and Vaporesso chips.

I no longer temp control. I have a consistent vape as it is now. I know exactly when I need more juice and my wick is starting to dry out just by the vape. I think most long term vapers can tell that a dry hit may be near.

I’ve been fortunate because all the DNA devices I have have all been of great quality. However, I really take great care of my gear and I usually have 8-10 mods in rotation so that keeps one mod from getting used too often. If that makes sense.

I bought the Riva several months ago but not the DNA one which was close to if not more than $100 more than the standard Riva.

I’m sure that if I didn’t know which mod had which chip then I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

I still love my DNA mods but not so much that it’s about the chip but about the overall design and quality that I find in those mods. This is obviously just my observation of my own vaping.

Great thing about vaping is that there are so many different ways to vape and so many choices of mods that everyone can find their own niche.

I hope that made sense. Im a bit tired today.

For me as a wattage only vaper, the two main advantages of a mod with a DNA chip are the ability to get replacement parts if the board dies, and the ability to tweak and monitor the vape in escribe.

With my lipo DNA mods (delro clones) I like being able to adjust screen brightness and display time to get the most out of the little 2200 mAh batteries. When I discovered this, it made a noticeable difference to the practicality of these mods.

I agree that there are plenty of devices out there that cost way less than those with DNA boards and vape just as well for most people. The mark up for DNA versions of a mod with two options is often not worth it..
