That board was designed for boros and side by side mods. If you were to put an 18650 battery upright, then a boro right beside it, the space below it is roughly the board size. That boro positive can be soldered directly to the board. All that's required is a solitary 2 inch wire to connect to the battery positive. Grand total 3 solder points.
On the 60C, it's 10 solder points just for the external charger board. So it can be a much quicker easier process for manufacturers. Plus Replay offers dry hit protection like TC, but it's not TC.

I see DNA 80C more as providing new design possibilities than the chipset bringing something unique to the table.
I personally would have liked dna80c to have TC, really the only negative I can think of.
Now I haven't checked a dotaio inside, but dna80 should almost be a perfect chip for the aio.
I haven't bought DNA 80C chipset myself yet, but it's definitely a chipset I'll buy and keep until I find something one day.
