I also posted this to help others.
I really like the Berserkers, and have a special attraction to the Silverplay (made in California, like me) The Rose is an oddball, but might be fun to try some unusual builds on that deck.

A fairly new one is the Augvape Merlin Nano RTA (18mm) --- definitely a winner in my opinion (and inexpensive too).

As to your sidenote: I go with spaced coils most of the time.

@vaper1960, I only use spaced Stainless Steel coils because of using TC mode. I have noticed that they don't get dirty as quickly though.

Recently got my Ulton Tripods from 2fdeal, machining is excellent but o rings are garbage in some respects (wrong sized). But the vape is good (setup for DTL, so all reducers removed and no airflow inserts used), having to learn how they want to be built though.

But the Ulton version is definitely a 1:1 clone, as it does have all the relevant reducers for making it MTL.

I can certainly recommend without hesitation.

Yes, there are some great deals out there! Same with tanks that use drop-in coils, but the older models might not have coils available anymore... that's another reason I want a RTA. Fasttech has lots of killer deals but it takes so long to get here.

I never tried the Ares. But there were problems with posts being wobbly.

The silverplay would be a brilliant first RTA, it's an amazing flavour rta, with plenty of airflow options. And at $14.99 that is a bargain:

For me, I used spaced due to using TC. But I use spaced in wattage mode too, purely as it eliminates hot spots on the coil.

Augvape Merlin Nano, that's a lot of plastic near the coil.

Also, for cheaper options. Ulton as well as others make a KF lite 2019.

I don't like the airflow adapter... could come loose. Also, prefer adjustable airflow (although I tend to change it much once I find how I like it)

Looks like I might get a new mod tomorrow. It's 22 mm wide, but I really like the Silverfast even if its a bit bigger (24mm) I really don't mind if it hangs over a little.

We have a winner! I ordered the Silverfast. Stainless steel finish to match my mod (total cost for both $25... "low budget shinyitis") I really like the little Berserker but air flow is too restricted for me. My second choice was the True.
