Whoa, whoa, whoa. I said Dr. Magnus not king Magnus. Haha. JK

Well, I thought you were referring to my Ph.D.s. And my Time Lord status. ;-)

I'm not Royalty to you, just to the indigenous people of that island off of Madagascar that the last of the Lemmings pace around on.

Hybrid on my P10 w brass tips.

THAT is the sex. I finally have a reason to use my brass Precise parts. Good idea! -Magnus

OK, further impression or rather a note. All of a sudden, the draw got stiff. I play with it, pull the dt, looks fine, almost acts flooded. Pull the AW IMR 18650 and check charge....3.5V. Now with other atty's I've used, 3.89V and they start sucking hind____. Almost like clockwork 3.89V.

Anyone else notice this with their hybrids?

Otherwise, she's a rocking.

My Hybrid 1.5 BF is still running very strong! It seems to get better with time although that could be due to me getting the hang of it. It's probably both, "getting better", and "me getting the hang of it". One thing there is no doubt of, the flavor is really good on with this atty! I can't say enough so I'll try to keep it short. I'm using a Woodvil and burning AVE Havana Gold in it and what a combination! As I said before I had to send one back and I couldn't get to the Post Office until yesterday so I am hoping this one will last me for awhile. I see COV got some in today so I have to order a couple more before there gone. I guess the only thing to do now is to put this thing thru the test of time. I really hope I get some good life out of this great new atty.

BTW, I'm glad the Avid thing and the rediculous spamming thing got taken care of by some good folks with much more patience than I. I can't imagine life without my Cisco 510 LR 1.5's.

Haha. I forgot about your time lord status. Forgive me my liege. Lol

Glad you like the idea. Give it a shot. You have my permission:).

The brass requires polishing from time to time but I realy like to take apart my mods and clean them. It kinda relaxing :)

Yes, I have noticed and the first thing that came to mind was I thought was losing my mind. I ran mine down to 3.70 and the only reason I checked it was because I thought, damn, that battery has been in there a long time!

I wanted a change in flavor so I got my second hybrid ready, attached it to my Darwin, pressed the fire button and it shut off. Checked the resistance and sure enough it's shorted. I noticed before I connected it that the center pin was a bit of kilter, so I gently straightened it out. I checked my other one and the center pin is pretty solid. The bad one moves pretty easily. Any ideas?

There was no enjoyment in my post. I was in no ways attempting to hurt anybody. I was making it clear that, from where I'm sitting, Russ hurt HH and Avid.

If HH or Avid would like to dispute the conflict or interest noted in the thread earlier, I'm all ears. I've gone back to vendors and products that have re-evaluated their relationships or tactics before. -Magnus

Wow, You'er sure giving Russ a lot of power!

I've thought the same thing about the 14500 batt I've been using. I hated that battery, before I got the VMod & hooked up a Vapage Hybrid to it.

BTW...Day 6 on the Hybrid...going strong! :)

Day 6 here too (I think). It still works about the same for me. I shelved the 2.0Ω one in favor of the 1.5Ω, primarily just because it was the second one I tried. TH and flavor are still great, but I'm also still somewhat disappointed in the uber-tight draw and the vapor production. I think I can compare it closest to a decent factory debridged atty, but with more consistency. That is to say it's more difficult to flood or run damagingly dry, it never leaks, and it's seldom gurgly - all while delivering slightly diminished vapor (a characteristic I've noticed on all debridged/dewicked atties so far).

Ultimately, I think this atty is a net gain, especially at this price. If I wasn't such a sucker for plumes of vapor, I'd give this bad boy an "A" despite the draw. As it stands, it's a solid "B".

All IMHO, of course.

:toast:

ETA: the 1.5Ω metered at 1.65Ω. Take that as you will, but it's well within tolerances that I'm used to from pretty much every vendor I've tried.

*sigh* *wipes leg off*

---

Have had two of the COV Hybrid's for a few hours now. One of each style but I only tried the standard today. After about four hours of use a few general observations:

- I soaked this sucker pretty good but the initial vape, for a good hour, was quite disappointing. It got slowly better and somewhat at about the one-hour almost chain-vaping mark it just *poof* changed. Improved substantially. I don't know what would do that other than some aspect of the SS wick needing some heat to expand or shift.

- The draw was what I'd consider normal, it didn't seem loose and airy or tight.

- Vapor production after the first hour was solid but I wouldn't say it was in the top three I've tried.

- I tried it first with my all-day Vermillion Kentucky Cherrywood. Flavor was outstanding at 2ohm.

I'll give the bottom-feeder a running tomorrow for the day. -Magnus

Hi all. I believe I'm on Day 6 as well. How did THAT happen? (Time, funny thing.) I have done nothing to my 2.0 BF but leave it on my Reo Mini and vape away constantly. It is still producing (stop me... no, really, stop me!) clouds of vapor, and the good flavor of the juice remains consistent as well. I am a bit surprised when I read that others are not getting massive amounts of vapor. That is, for me, one primary and noticeable attribute and benefit of this atty. Also, I have not once noticed a tight draw as others have mentioned.

I've seen mixed messages, are these actually China mass made and not tested? Or are they tested? I guess they're not made in the US though. I'm curious why anything and everything that we get new in vaping seems so inconsistent. I'd think better QC could help out at least a bit more. First run blues I 'spose. -Magnus

I noticed if I draw on the hybrid like I am using a regular 306 vapor drops off..the draw has to be light like on an analog for plumes of vapor...:)

Hi Violet! I don't know what I'm doing or not doing, but I keep getting massive vapor. My draws are approximately 2 seconds and just a sort of soft draw (not terribly light, and certainly not a strong pull).

Also, my Mini seems to be self-feeding and even if I do squonk, I don't sense it in the atty. Nevertheless, there's plenty of juice in it, and the juice in the bottle of the Mini is reducing.

It all seems a bit magical right now. As I said, this is Day 6! Imagaine tomorrow ;)
