Yeah, this ain't the first time a product hasn't hit the mark, and won't be the last.

True -------but this one sure isn't over. This hybrid has a way to go yet before it's "yesterday's news", IMHO.

I'm eager to try the new version when it arrives. I still rotate equipment---but I'm using the Hybrid more and more.

Just to clarify...
Those 1.8Ω, 2.2Ω, 2.8Ω atties they have at Vapage aren't the improved versions right?
I remember they only had 1.5Ω and 2.0Ω ones last time I checked.

Stupid I just accidentally fired the switch while my RSM was on unregulated mode with freshly charged batteries(8.4v) and killed the atty instantly. Gotta really be careful and concentrate while I change any settings. Learning it in hard way I guess. I took the atty out, switched to unregulated mode to check the off load battery voltage, swapped batteries, and put the atty back on forgetting to flip the switch back to vv mode. Then fireworks~! Good thing I don't vape right away after changing batteries. I could've burned my lips. My transparent drip tip was lit up quite pretty for half a second though.

Only have two atties left now...

This is just the way I see it: On second thought I'm not going there. I'll just bump the thread and keep my mouth shut.

My apologies Angler for asking further. I got the sense you did and did not want to tell us what you experienced. I'm glad you did!

All feedback is helpful, not only to the manufacturers and the vendors but to those of us who are end users.

Chet, bummer.

Well, to be honest, i'm really dissapointed with the hybrid BF attys. I've just received 3 more from CoV, that i ordered because only one of the first 2 that i purchased worked correctly and the other had an off-centered coil.

Well, from those 3, none of them has a decent looking coil. None, 0/3. Two of them are a total mess, they don't even have the mesh and coil at the same height. I'm trying to use the less crappy looking one, and this has the coil off-centered anyway. And it gives a burnt taste...

At least i only purchased 2 of these last ones, but no matter what, i paid for 4 attys and only 1 of them performed well. And that's the worst part, because that one was just awesome...but 1/5 is way unacceptable.

I really hope the revision is worth it, but i'm about to lose faith...

Hey Kat, everything is fine. Instead of posting out of frustration though, I just want to get back to this amazing new atty we have and reading all the different experiences people are having. Good thread and two thumbs up to everyone involved in it's evolution!

I have really been fortunate in that I still have one of the first two I ordered from COV and it's still going strong. Of the second two that I ordered I ruined one myself by turning the bottom with a screwdriver and the other one is in my atty box where I put it after I broke it in. I'm pretty confident that these two will last me until the new version arrives from China.
I hope I didn't just jinx myself!

Hrmm. This is my take on the perpetual beta-testing we're doing for multiple vendors... There are disrespectful mistakes:

- Leaks! Seriously?! We're dealing w/ fluids. THAT has to be the #1 thing to work (I'm looking at you G4, CE3, Vision, etc.)..

- Coils & ohms are messed up? Again, that's like one of the most basic things. How the bloody sin can you NOT TELL THE COILS are off-center?

- Connectors. It's not like these have changed since the last time you looked at them?

So the first series of Vapage Hybrids got two of three disrespectfuls wrong. There are some vendors who have done it wrong more than once, more than three times.... (almost anything I've gotten from GotVapes or that they'd hyped)...

It matters little to me that they replace them for free. I'll pay more than once and help w/ a produce if the vendor is trustworthy and hasn't repeatedly hosed me. It matters to me more that it's clear they're interested in fixing problems quickly and providing good customer support. And, honestly, in that regard Vapage has failed me. They haven't responded to my queries on where my attys are and they aren't here. AG is not Vapage. VV is not Vapage. If they're not on ECF, I can understand that, I can't understand why they can't respond to their customer contact forms.

Here is the other thing.. we've got people reporting success ranging from 20% to 100%. And the HH with constant AWESOME customer support, even at 3x the cost is worth it if we're having huge failure rates w/ the Vapage.

Since I trust the people who are talking, I expect the 2nd batch to be better, and I'll order from that batch.... in the meantime I'm a little miffed that I've spent ~$60 on Vapage product and $20 of it died fairly young and $40 is just MIA.

So I'll beta test, I don't expect perfection, I expect better communication and timelines though if we're expected to beta test and pay for the privilege. -Magnus

The beta tests were done and the product went on the market. Many companies would have left it at that. Then, through popular demand I suppose, a new beta test was started by the people on this thread. Vapage took that into account, went back to China, and is in the process of trying to remedy the problems. This is more than a lot of companies would do in my humble opinion.

Gonna chime in. I hear a lot of frustration. I too was in that camp when one Vmod started sparking...yikes!

Vapage is in serious need of a CS overhaul. Those of us that hyped them might have also buried them in new business. I have 3 unanswered email site inquiries ranging from 1-2 weeks ago. That's not very acceptable by most vapers standards. What I did was call and left voice mails, though those were not answered same day, so I called again and got John. All I can say is call until you get someone live. I was not asked to send in my defective PV, and was sent a replacement immediately. Key here IMO, is to get a live person.

On the off centered, irregularly wrapped coils. All of mine are that way. The shortest lived was a 1.5 ohm at about 5-7 days. I have 2-2.0 ohms that have been giving me perfect service for 30 days now. My ..... is they do not all meter within +/-0.01. Those I sent to Holland I made sure were, but that left me with attys 0.02-0.04 off. However, how many of the big dawg atty vendors spec perfectly very time? Go to their threads and you will find this is not uncommon even though they provide their own specs for manufacture.

No one like to be a paying beta tester. I am still partially out from a quick release back in June. I don't see that with Vapage just yet. And honestly, why send you more of what you don't like when the improved ones are coming???

I'm hanging tight. I think they are onto something that is wonderful and not geared towards high dollar vapers.:)

I have to agree with you, t-taz. As I said before, I really do see some promising things in our very near future. If we can all just hold on til next Tuesday, I do think we'll be taken care of. Email or call on Tuesday with any orders, or whatever you need. I know I will.

Having said that, I also understand the frustrations that everyone has mentioned. I have mine as well. I know that I'm not getting THE vape I want from this equipment, but I know that the only thing I can do is hang on for a bit.

Delayed gratification. One tough lesson!

I don't know if you were responding to my post in part but do you have information that indicates those of use who ordered fairly recently and haven't gotten our orders were sent false-alarm shipping notices? Because I ordered four of those 2.8ohms and they were supposedly shipped nine/ten days ago. And all I'm asking for is the DC # per the FAQ on their own site. -Magnus

Mr. Magnus, have you emailed Brian on this? I don't have further info, but am concerned for ya.

Yes and use the site's form. I will try to call after another few days if they don't automagically appear. Other packages from CA sent days later have arrived USPS 1st Class though. The Vapage site references "confirmation of delivery" so I'd expect a DC# to be available but it wasn't in the shipping notice or the online status. -Magnus

I would like to remit. Vapage has addressed, impressively, the crack issue of the VMODs with an improved design and a link on their website to apply for a FREE replacement. I chalked up the short lived atties to first run foul or possible user error, but they have addressed the QC and made improvements in the next batch. And, maybe I simply did not notice the o rings when I opened my kit with giddy anticipation and they were lost in the shuffle. They still aren't here yet, but I'm getting by without. The CS is understandably bogged down with the boom in business and inquiries about these issues.
