Magnus, I must say I'm truly sorry to hear this, because if you feel that way, there is a likelihood that other people feel that way as well, whether or not they post.

Might I dare to say that perhaps your strong feelings are toward one individual only, and neither being HH or Avid?

First off, I'm not offended nor do I expect my word to be meaningful to anyone but me. I have no delusions of Royalty.

When a company does something you disagree with, you boycott their advertisers. When a company is affiliated w/ an unsavory person, you boycott their product. When a company allows a mass-market mailer to send me unsolicited emails, I reconsider buying their product.

I wanted it known that this spamming and re-spamming and re-re-spamming and advertising in ~another~ products threads was a turn-off. There is a line for me and it was crossed. Russ was doing a disservice to the HH .357.

Am I giving HH and Avid the short-end of the stick here? You bet I am. They choose the company they keep and I think they chose poorly.

There was no enjoyment in my post. I was in no ways attempting to hurt anybody. I was making it clear that, from where I'm sitting, Russ hurt HH and Avid.

If HH or Avid would like to dispute the conflict or interest noted in the thread earlier, I'm all ears. I've gone back to vendors and products that have re-evaluated their relationships or tactics before. -Magnus

Companys that allow or are associated with unsolicited spamming
and don't distance themselves from such bad behavior are in fact
condoning it....I don't buy from companies that conduct
business like that.....healthy competition is beneficial but unsavory
competition benefits no one...

I'm not familiar with this radio host but judging by his deleted posts for inappropriate comments and knowing Magnus's well know reputation for superb rational and reasoning, some of the comments directed towards the host may have been provoked but I'm trying to figure out how a 3rd party vendor and well respected modder should get caught in the crossfire.

I would never had expected for such a discussion to become so polarizing over competing products. Its like Red sox fans vs Yankees fans. Although COV probably appreciates your allegiance , I'm sure we can find a way to resect both teams even if we have a favorate and the other fans get a little too roady

just my forgive me Dr. Magnus but your words do carry weight around here. when you speak others listen and it would be a shame if you unintentionally caused someone undeserving a bad rep.

Now back to the topic. I just got my hybrids in today ( only regs ). Thanks for a great thread God but why couldn't you have given me a sign or a vision when you started it. I might have caught the BF's in time. Why hast thou forsaken me? lol.

They are probably the best looking atty I have ever procured.It looks like it grew on my P10 with brass cap's.So exited about that. I'm going to let them break a bit in before I weigh in on performance.

Perhaps. And I can see how you would think that. Have you never had a friend that others do NOT like? I am in that situation in my life with one of my dearest friends. He's not, welp, popular among the crowd, but I see who he is and what he stands for, and it works for me. Others have criticized me for having him as a friend. Ouch. I don't have answers but I do know what it's like. If you, Magnus, did not like my friend (and you prolly wouldn't, LOL), would you also toss me out of the equation? It's not an easy situation by any means. Nor are there easy answers. Yet, I see that you are standing up for what you believe, and I must say, I admire that.

My comment about hurting someone was (in)directed towards the radio show host, btw, as he is the only one who has been outright hurtful to others, on many occasions now. I'm sorry that was unclear.

AG, any news on the "seating" issue w/ the bottom-feeder version? I'm still not following the flat bit. Do you mean uniform depth on the center pin vs the threaded case? Or is it seated at an angle? -Magnus

The Vapage Hybrid has a floating center pin. If you try to screw it down, & it won't go all the way on...push the atty down firmly on a flat surface to push the pin all of the way into the atomizer. The pin has a lip on it, so you can't really push it in too far.

I've played around with several of them & this completely addresses the issue, until someone makes me aware of their particular problem.

OK, got my hybrids last night with the full intention of coming on and giving first impressions...HA! I was having too much fun vaping and learning about this sweet atty. Oh and did I mention nic coma? Had to lay down cuz I got my heart racing

So the first thing I notice is the center pin does stick out quite a bit. Knowing I'm gonna be using these on the Vmod (when it gets here) I didn't adjust anything. Just screwed onto my Grand till it made contact and at most 1/8 turn more. Prime, prime puffs, feed, prime puff, feed.....these hold a good amount of juice. Not as much as my IKV 801s but a lot more than a 510. It was fascinating to watch the atty fill and fill and then drain to just the right level. I felt like a simpleton playing and watching! These are idiot proof for anyone new to BF. NO WAY TO FLOOD. Like everyone else, I tried and tried. It just wouldn't happen and the catch cup NEVER overflowed. These are sweet just for that aspect.

At first....meh, but after about 5 minutes the flavor started to come and then BAMB! Now I'm a self admitted 801 lover for the flavor. Flavor is rivaling my beloved 801s. Vapor is so-so w/20% VG, but it's user learning and break-in caution. I don't like to push my attys too hard at first. Season them right and they will treat you well. Vapor this morning is really starting to come on. Gonna have to watch for nic coma again ;-)

I got the 2.0 BF and was a little concerned they'd be too hot for me. I like it on the cooler side as I'm heat sensitive. No problems!!!! The vape is giving nice TH and not frying my delicate fruit juices. (the true test for me and a new atty). I'm getting complexities I was not getting from the 510. Haven't tested against an 801 yet, but will later. Needs more seasoning for the test to be fair.

I notice one thing with the hybrid I have never experienced with others....once you stop firing, the atty stops, like instantly. I'm used to dragging beyond fire time as other attys still sizzle. So My learning curve will be a bit more as I need to adjust my draw time. Sucking water vs milk shake (as VV analogized so perfectly) is not an issue with me used to the airy 801.

First impression is this is an OUTTA THE PARK home run. Kudos to Vapage for the design and bless Bruce at COV for being a smart cookie and carrying these. BRAVO! I can hardly wait to try them on the mod they were designed for

Still, although I believe in ends justify the means in certain matters but I think this is the first area I find myself at a different end of a spectrum from you. You are a man with the curage of his conviction though.That I have to give ya and that is very admirable.
