Very sad night, my AMG Universal Hybrid 1.5Ω died but I think it was due to the voltage load on the AW P18650 2600mAh bat which read at 4.18 (yea I know...). I did check it with my DMM and no go, check my 2.0Ω on the DMM and read 2.0Ω (still alive). I believe this is all user error and not actually an atty error cause the 1.5Ω atty was running perfectly fine between 4.0-3.1 voltage load on the previous bat.

The more errors I go through with attys, the more I get to know them better so I honestly thank it for dying so I now know what not to do from personal experience.

That is all folks!

Yeah, all my 1.5ohm died early and the one 2.0ohm I had had only a so-so life. However, I just ordered some of the limited 2.8ohm bottom-feeder versions for some high voltage test vaping. I'm honestly impressed w/ the HH on tobacco flavors but I'm still looking for a better bottom-fed atty and the Vapage still has been buzzing optimistically. So keep your fingers crossed these 2.8ers run the gambit well. -Magnus

Running any atomizer at over 2.5 amps isn't too good for it. To get higher watts, it's certainly a better idea to get a higher ohm atty.

I'm not having any luck with the HH, when vaping my Gooey Butter Cake. I've been using it for 4 days & it seems to destroy the flavoring. Maybe it will work better on tobacco juice.

On the other hand, my Vapage Hybrid rocks the GBC. I'll take a flavorful atty which produces great vapor over one which provides poor flavor any day. :2c:

I gave these another chance and bought 4 more after my first 2 died quickly. They seem to work very well after broken in and the flavor and vapor is good.I have a 1.5 and 2.0 broken in and I gotta say there isn't much of a difference between them. The two 2.0's I have read 2 and 2.1 ohms on my fluke meter and the 1.5's both read 1.8 ohms.I sure wish they were actually 1.5 ohm attys as claimed for more heat, but all 3 I had so far were out of spec.

What would be considered short lived? They state the silos should last 3 weeks, so how much longer for an atty? I lost a 1.5 in 5-7 days. Just quit in the middle of vaping. I'm used to IKV that go min. of a month, typically 2-3 for me.

Please keep in mind that Vapage has offered to replace any short lived or out-of-spec atomizers from this first run. They seem to have a good idea of what caused these random problems with some of the units.

Your doing well to get an IKV atty to last that long. They seem to get really tight on the draw after the first week or two (IMO).

You know who to talk to at Vapage about your attys. I have no idea what kind of limitations they have on replacement.

OK, I contacted COV the first time... do we contact Vapage through the website? Because of my first three only one was replaced because it was dead within hours. The other two were dead before a week was up.

It's affordable but I'll ask anyway...

I'm hoping when they get the "quirks" worked out these will last at least one month each. AG, you're approaching one month with yours, right? -Magnus

Yes...I'm going on 4 weeks on one and 3 weeks on another.
They are both 1.5ohm and I've been using them on regular 3.7v devices.
I have a third (1.5ohm) Hybrid, which I've been dripping on in the evenings, going on 2+ weeks.

Here is the Contact Page Link for Vapage: Contact us

I sent one back from the first order I placed at COV that I didn't even put on a mod. I sent it back because it was so far out of spec. I'm talking about the two Hybrid 1.5 bottom feeders I recieved shortly after they first came out. I tried to contact COV twice, by phone and by email, to no avail. I did finally contact someone who could help me and promised to do so as soon as he gets back from a buisness trip. I'm not worried about it and eventually it will be made right. After all it's just an atomizer. I ordered two more from COV even after they didn't return my messages but had I known I could get them somewhere else I would have.
Here's the thing though and I'm just speaking for myself; When I buy an atomizer for nine dollars I expect it to be good on arrival and I expect it to be within + or - 0.1 ohm. If I use that atomizer for any longer than it takes to get it vaping without fear of blowing it I don't expect it to be replaced if I burn it up after that. If I use an atty for a week, two weeks, three weeks, and it dies on me I certainly don't expect it to be replaced. If it last me all day I feel it's my fault that it blew. I ran it too dry or just got it too hot or shorted it or whatever but if it last long enough to give me confidence that I can vape away in my usuall style then I don't expect a vendor to replace it. All I'm asking for is a quality built atomizer when I screw it down on my mod. I think it's asking too much to guarantee an atomizer for upwards of a week with all the different vapors and different mods and different vaping styles. jmho

I have to say that the folks over at Vapage have been great and like AG said they are standing behind their product and their word. If you have a faulty atty or one out of spec they are more than willing to replace it, which is more than some vendors I have dealt with would do. So IMHO I think that Vapage is a great company with a superior customer service approach that is going to be what keeps me coming back to them again and again for my business. I am sorry that some folks are having issues with there attys but they have worked out the kinks in the first run and now the second run should be even better, which IMHO is going to be awsome because I have been vaping on the same BF 2.0ohm for 3 weeks now and it is still going strong...:)

My first two Hybrids are still outstanding. One is a BF and one a standard. They are now 3 weeks and 2 days old and I have used them daily.

My second BF and Silo are at 11 days, so of course (or should I say of course!) still great. I must say that I do not use the Silo daily.

I'm sorry if my post was misconstrued about atty life. When I read they expected an average of 3 weeks out of a silo, I thought wow, what do they expect from their atty? I have noticed those mentioning short life have mostly been 1.5 ohm as was mine.

I don't expect 2-3 months out of all attys. Those that typically give me a month or more of service get my business. Crud happens and even my favored vendors do not all have that lifespan. :)

I understood what you meant. My post was for the newcomers with questions about the initial usage, that's all. We're all getting differing results, as would be expected imo. (humble? nah)

Loved your last line! Clever.

I think when we're talking about atty life, we've all had attys which lasted 5 minutes & attys which lasted for weeks.

Since this is the first atomizer Vapage has produced, I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far. Not only is it a great performing atty with excellent flavor, but they are very concerned about each of us having a great experience with their company.

There are plenty of other companies making atomizers these days, & they have all had problems with new models & specs being off. Even companies known for their quality control & customer service.

Vapage has shown they are in for the long haul & want to be known for producing quality products. What other company has offered to replace atomizers with virtually no questions asked?
