That really sux. Kanger has pulled some doozies too AFTER the order was placed and paid. So it's not unheard of. But what a let down. I'd go ahead and try it. Sometimes there's a few good ones. If not, I'm sure the co-op will work out a solution somehow. If I remember, that was a Shek coop and he's pretty experienced. He won't leave ppl hanging.

There's something called a "vape band" that's not very expensive. I thought they were decorative until I read your post about using a thick rubber band to pull the IGO and I'd betcha that's what they are for. There's one that says "Chicks With Wicks" I thought was fun.

Well, you all know how excited I have been about getting the Russian 91% and getting it setup and working. So, I go and check the thread to see how the others are making out with the new toy. Evidently we were shipped the new Version 2 with a spring loaded center pin. Everyone thinks, yay! a new and better version. We are all excited. Well, looks like it is a piece of doggie poo poo.

More than several people are saying that the resistance of your build reads all over the place and different on each device and voltmeter it is put on. So they say tighten down the positive block and the pin so much that the block does not move. It still moves after tightening.

So I have not even taken it out of the box yet. I am waiting to find out if there is a fix for it. Some say there will be. Some say that we all may have to buy some kind of fix it kit from somewhere and put in the old version 1 center pin. I am not a happy camper. I am quite angry. I may have to try to sell it to someone who knows how to tinker with these things. Not happy. Lots of money down the drain. And this is not the cheap fasttech one. This is the real one. Sucks. And I will not embrace it. At least not right now.

Yeah, Shek is good. I am sure something will get figured out. I just am not able to do all the modder dremel and rebuild fixes. I have enough trouble not putting my bra on backwards. :D This is the first really big purchase I have made for an atty and I thought I was getting a top of the line one so I am upset. It will work out in the end.

I saw those vape bands at the vape meet a month or so ago. They are like a tiny headband, more for decoration and to cushion device in knock overs or falls. I may be wrong, but I do not think they would help like a rubber band does in getting the top off an atty. They looked like kitsch to me although I did not look at them up close to fully inspect them.

I finally was able to get my new Epson wireless all in one printer setup and working for both my desktop and laptop. What a royal PITA. Over the weekend my desktop kept crashing because it is telling me it is out of memory (8 years old) and I think she is full up of data. So I got rid of a bunch of stuff and apps and reattacked it today. Took a while but it is done. Finally. I got the Epson WF-3540 Series so I will let you all know if it does better than the HP printers I have been using for the last couple of decades.

Welcome back, GtrSoloist. I am sorry that you and your family had a rough go of it. There is not much to say to make a difficult time better. I am glad that you are finding your way through and that your vaping is starting to work for you again. Please come and chat when you have a chance. We love having you here.

My Igo-L has the pull off cap; I think they all do. Mine is as stubborn as I am. Difficult to get off. I find using a thick rubber band and having the atty mounted on my Provari gets the job done. I wonder if they make a tool that has prongs that stick out at the ends that you can insert into the top of the Igo-L and then use the tool to pull the top off? Maybe I will go to Home Depot and see. I may invent an atty puller! Kind of like a tooth puller. I will have to check dental tools too. I wish I was handy with technical and mechanical stuff.

Hand filing the airhole sounds like something I could do. Do you need a special type of file? Looks like another Home Depot trip.

Try a bead reamer, wal mart or craft store

Hey everyone, welcome to all the new comers, and grats to all of you with recent victories of one sort or another.

I decided it was time to make a concerted effort to vape more and smoke less. All the stress of moving, having another smoker in the house and a terminal relative spending his last couple months here had me smoking well over a pack a day again. It's been only a few days, but I'm down to five or six a day without too much effort involved.

Recently picked up a Protank II, which is a nice improvement over the original. The main issues I've had with the Protanks are a) the draw is inconsistent, and b) they leak a bit from the bottom. Instead of chucking out all the Protank I's, I decided to try the airflow control valve used on the aerotanks. WOW, all the difference in the world.

The control valve allows you to adjust the airflow to your given preference, and uses a sealed 510 connector so there is no more drop or two of liquid leaking into the battery connection/well. When I store the tanks I seal the valve just to be safe. Fasttech sells them for under $4. I paid a couple dollars more to get mine from ebay, since FT wasn't selling them separately yet. So if your Protank I or II's are collecting dust due to leakage / air flow... it might be time to take them out of retirement.

I'm not sure why people are so into Evods and Iclears. I avoid plastic like the plague... we all know that chemicals leach in and out of plastics, especially when heat is involved. So I opt for metal and pyrex whenever possible... including drip tips. Harm reduction... right?

So many of you are building coils now who were adamant that they never would. ;) Make it easy on yourself and learn to walk before you try to run. START with 32 guage wire, it's thin, easy to manipulate and very forgiving. You don't need a coiling tool with 32 ga wire, you can totally free-hand micro coils. Just get a sewing pin, put some wick on it, (again START with silica it's EASY and you can DRY BURN IT) take 6" of wire, leave legs and free hand a micro coil. The first few wraps might not be perfect, turn it around unwind the side you started with and give it a couple wraps to make it better. Attach to atty, use another pin to make the coil as perfect as you want it, then gently remove the original pin and trim the wick. Think EASY. BTW I use the above method for protank coils... micro coil is much better than the 2-3 wraps on each side with an empty middle that come from the kanger factories, IMHO.

My IGO-L's gets all the dripping action. I agree about the draw being too tight, instead of using a drill to enlarge the air-hole I use a file and do it by hand. More effort, but more forgiving as well. Shari I'm not sure if my Igo-L clones are the same as yours, but mine pull apart, as opposed to being screwed or unscrewed. So I can put the air-hole anywhere I want it.

I want to try a Kayfun Lite + just don't feel like shelling out $35+ for a single tank and that's if it's a clone even. I need to get an eroll for driving eventually... I'm starting to ramble so have a good night / morning. :)

Welcome Back! Missed you around here! don't be a stranger again!

Good Morning everybody! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Nothing much new here, still waiting for $ . Meanwhile contests still fun, meeting such good people there too! Amazing community of people vapers turned out to be! I added over 100 people as Face book friends and I talk to a lot of them, GLad to have some of you over there, makes it really nice!
Won some juice so I will report on my findings,a small juice shop in S FLorida.

I can recommend the following juice companies Space jam- I can do fruits! The Standard - I found some I love, none I hated, some neutral, I can't taste anything, Suicide bunny very good flavorful and all have flavor, find your favorite! Blue print - just ok one was good out of three, but I wouldn't reorder, Jackson Vapes very good melon and fruits.

I'm so sorry to hear this Shari. I know there were leaking problems with the first one and that is why I took it off my list, sad that their attempt to fix the problem made it worse. :(

Oh and miracles do happen, the view first unread post just worked. :)

Oh Thank goodness. It is terribly hard to lurk without it. I was reading backward and getting confused. Hello all.

Ahhh I knew I saw this post. And FQ's using what works!

JUST AN FYI:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...546841-how-do-you-feel-about-smokers-now.html

Thought this thread is interesting enough to link here so everyone here can see what others on ECF are continuing to say about "smokers"/smoking ow that they are "Vapors"

I haven't chimed in this discussion yet, but oh I so plan to given some of the hipocracy/"holier-than-tho" attitude of some people that I am reading and what I consider misinformation being handed out about smelling/addiction/etc . . . While I would like today it is Unbelievable - I cannot given what is being posted . . .

Pathetic and the person who began the thread had 3 weeks. Honestly almost makes me want them to fail, (somewhat), but I do remember being like that with drinking. I am glad I only pop in here. I was a regular at the GV contest for a long time but this is home and this is the only place I peruse. I guess I am officially out of step. I cant imagine what you are all doing. I thought (I copied it but I was glad to see that some still used egos and cartos. Otherwise I find it is a bit intimidating.)

I did I did. I just missed it.
Well I am on my computer and wanted to do a quick fly by. I have been lurking on a semi regular basis. Now back to the foreground I go.

    They're at it again!

I wanted to post that there's a whole host of us here, who either smoke and vape and love it, or struggle with the switch. However, I am too hostile right now.

I must learn to stay home and not venture out alone!!

**EDIT: I posted a reply which I hope won't cause too many people to be ...... off. Some things are worth saying, after all.

I see nothing wrong with my egos and clearos I like them and have put them to great use! I find they have more of a cigarette feel to them! I am experimenting but I got my BFF vaping because of the ego set up, she hated the humongous mods! So I think what ever level you are comfy with is awesome!
I just have not found my diamond is all for me still smoking! A vapers go onto me the other day, and I was hey I feel good about where I am!
