I hope everyone is well and having a good weekend. It is beautiful here now but they are predicting big storms with thunderstorms and hail and tornado possibilities for Monday into Tuesday here in middle TN.

Karen, I am worried about your poor roommate. What he is going through sounds terrible. I hope they can find out what is wrong quickly and it is not serious. He is lucky to have you to help him out. Just make sure you take care of yourself too. A truck, huh? Well if you need others to drive around for you it is better than having someone wreck your good car. Will be handy if you do decide to move or get a new piece of furniture. Thought we were going to hear about pretty shiny stuff. Good restraint. Probably better than me in your shoes.

It was hard, but after so many years of being a have not, I am a changed woman and saw this with clarity. I am never going to be rich, I need transportation and this is a vehicle that has high marks for lasting a very long time. It isn't gorgeous or sexy like the cars I drove in the past, But it gets me from pint A to point B if I need to drive, and my friend can use it to make money and yes, thought of moving a piece of furniture or saving on delivery of appliances, etc ...If my friend or nephew go pick it up it saves a fortune. It even has a trailer hitch so I can get a small trailer for roommates electric wheelchair more freedom! we could throw a regular one in the truck put his on the trailer he can push me or vice aversa and we can get out of the house, even if its just now and then. I was very practical. the new me! LOL

don't worry I bought a necklace for me for the shiny pretty stuff! LOL Sterling bt nice. My sister wants me to buy a David Yurman ring, She gets a nice discount, Not sure about it, but I do like them, They have a nice, substantial look on the hand. I would buy a gold piece or two, but I haven't seen anything at all that would be worth the investment.

Good afternoon!

Anybody know much about the DNA 30 mods and which are good? I want one, just not sure what I should buy, I wont pay for a ZEN $269.00, unless it's like having a Provari. I do like the DNA20 My roommate snatched away. It's a Vapor Shark and tiny but very powerful, They are $169.00 and are now DNA30's, I looked at the clones that are coming out of the HANA20 and 30 and may have interest. They are cheaper so of course they are first on the list of interest at $69.99, I also saw a 26650 mod called a 7 ??? can be bought for $80 at one vendor on pre-order right now, if anyone has their 2 cents, let's hear it.

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Zen's ZNA is being cloned...

I'd hold out for a bit. I will say that since I own a Z2~Carto Hybrid, I can say that the level of craftsmanship is impeccable. I'm certainly not disappointed that I plunked down the money for one.

I am at war with my Russian. Can not get a good coil mounted and wicked with cotton to vape well. All tastes burnt and the cotton is burning up (turning black) and breaking inside the 4 coils I have made in last two days. Thank goodness cotton balls are cheap. This juice is not so I am back to dripping until I step back and calm down enough to approach building another coil.

Sometimes when you get so frustrated that you can not think or see straight you just have to put it down and walk away for a bit. I am kinda there with the Russian and coil building right now. I will leave it be for a few days or a week and approach it with fresh eyes and attitude then.

I was not going to let this frustration get the best of me and when I started wanting a cigarette more than my vape, I knew it was time to set the R91 aside for a bit and go back to what I know works for me. My 510 attys and dripping. So as my blood pressure slowly lowers and my attitude hopefully improves I am back to old school.

Backups for your backups. How very true. Could you imagine where I would be right now if I got rid of all my 510 attys and stuff I moved on from? The lesson I learned here is that now I know to keep stuff that once worked great for me. I may need it to play a major role again if my new infatuation fails me.

How different is the Russian from the Kayfun? I finally am able to use my K after taking it in to a B&M and having someone look at my work and tweak it just a bit. Turns out while I was told by someone here that I had too much cotton, I actually didn't have enough, and I was filling the tank wrong (even after watching 4 videos on how-to).

My issue isn't the coild building, I have that down. For me it's now figuring out the wicking and proper fill technique. I've had mine for 3 weeks and if I hadn't had my backups I would have been SOL for sure.

I think depending on the version of the kayfun they are really similar.

And good that it was only something simple to do. I was using too little cotton in my pt rebuilds. Got my aqya pre built with cotton and realized I needed about 2x cotton from what I was using.

Yeah, I still don't really know what I did wrong because I watched the guy at the B & M do it and it was pretty much how I did, but he got it to work just fine. I guess I'll just have to mess around some more, but I've had no issues with it, even after I refilled the tank myself (although a drop of liquid always seems to come out of the fill valve).

Russian 91% is pretty much the same thing as a Kayfun. My local vape meet is on 5/4 so I may play with th r91 a couple more times and then just wait for the vape meet. There are a couple people I now know that attend that will help me figure out what I am doing wrong. I am sure it is something simple that I am just repeating over and over. I think I am following the builds on the videos but I am obviously not in some area. I am not worried about it. I will get it sooner or later.

Backups for your backups is a must. I just realized that the only toppers I have ever used are the evod, the 510 attys, one Igo-L that is overpowering sometimes, and my Russians. So I have not been experimenting in the vast array of clearos and cartos, etc. I do not think I want to keep putting money in all the various head and tank systems or be a slave to cartos.

Well. Girlfriends best friend just had her baby. Planning to give them time to get home and become adjusted to life before we visit. And if any of us get sick wait a week after we are better. (Same thing we ask friends after our child comes home from surgeries)

New babys dad really wants to start vaping so im giving him some juice and a few spare ce4s I have.

It can't be Monday already. . Feels like the weekend just started yesterday. Im not rested yet!

I have the Igo-L and like it. Nice and simple. The Igo-W is all the rage right now because it is set up for dual coils. It is a solid little rba. I have no interest in dual coils (Famous Last Words) so I am not looking at getting one. I do not know how the draw on the Igo-W is, but I find that the Igo-L will give me a sore throat after vaping it a bit. I think it is harder for me to draw the vapor into my mouth and then inhale on it. A totally different draw and vape then my 510 dripping attys. It is a harsher vape to me than the R91 too. Of course, this is my limited experience on the matter. For the price the Igo L and W are a great rba to learn to build coils on and get a good dripping vape.

Protanks 2 are fairly flexible. The aerotank base fixes everything / no leaking and coils are rebuildable - no matter how tiny they may seem. For a backup, not bad at all. It seems everythng else is going dual coil and I'm not sure those are as easy to rebuild.

Know about then? Nope. Thoughts? Wish I had one.

Clones or the real thing, I have a tendency to want to skip being a beta testor. I want something on the market for 6 months to a year and still holding up. It's just too dissapointing and devastating to have a piece of gear go bust. I want a track record and warrenty when possible on the biggies. I'll play with filler stuff, and I can't imagine life without spinners. I'm just not adventerous with primary pieces of hardware. And I hate being a beta testor.

So it's a matter of opinion.

I finally made a real good coil for my Russian 91%. It only took me about 6 or 7 coils and almost a full cotton ball to do it. What a long 3 or 4 days of frustration. But it is working beautifully. And I am happily vaping.

Glad you got the hang of it! I got lucky and took right to wrapping. First coil ever came in at 2.2 ohms and no shorts, now I'm doing 1.7--did 3 tonight. I use a mini screwdriver, crunch them together, torch 'em a few times and voila! I'm actually rebuilding my Evods, Aro and Protank, and I really enjoy doing it.

I'm also enjoying rebuilding my KFL+ and my 2 RDAs. It's much easier than I thought it would be. I never even tried to rebuild my ProTanks. I'm glad you both got your RBAs working. Aren't they great?

I really like mine, but I posted this earlier--something's a bit off...

I just ordered a 510 adaptor for my Zen Cartotank hybrid--should be here by the end of the week. I think it will look a bit more, uhm...balanced. :D

I am really getting a kick out of building coils too. I just have a hard time mounting them. The eyes and hands are not what they used to be. I use a 1.5mm rod that goes on my Artistic Wire Gizmo that I got at Hobby Lobby and use 30ga kanthal and 14 wraps and came up with a 2.3ohm coil that I too torch. The amount of cotton to use was killing me. I had to raise that coil WAY up above the post screws and had to cut the amount of cotton I was using in half. Took a long time to figure it out. I really wanted to be around 1.6ohms but I can be happy vaping this coil at 2.3ohms. Next one will be lower.

What a great flavorful vape. Much different than what I am used to on my 510 attys that I drip on. Totally different experience for me. I am not nuts over the Igo-L. I seem to be having a problem taking a draw on it like my 510 attys. I end up with a sore throat/upper chest if I vape it for a couple of hours. Have not figured out how to not draw all that vapor right into my chest.

I love my R91. But I still use my Evod for running to the store sometimes and if I can not get the R91 working right.

I tried about 6 or so times on different occasions to rebuild Protank/Evod heads. I can not do it. Too small and too many tiny pieces. Not worth it to me. I am debating on whether it is worth it to buy more Evod heads or just retire my Evods when I run out of heads. I do not use them as often as I used to.

The Dolly Parton of PVs. That is how I thought the Protank looked on my Spinners. Just not right for me. I would be breaking the tank because I would keep trying to stand the thing up all the time.
