Yeah, Alisa. It does look a little cockeyed. That's weird since everything looks like it's sitting flush.

Shari, I don't use my drippers much, just to drip some of the juices that I don't care much for and won't put in a tank. Lung inhales don't feel right to me and that's pretty much how you have to do it on the RDAs. My throat gets scratchy and I get a little dizzy if I do it for a while. I haven't picked up any low mg juices and my 18mg stuff is just too strong in a dripper.

The Dolly Parton of PVs. That is how I thought the Protank looked on my Spinners. Just not right for me. I would be breaking the tank because I would keep trying to stand the thing up all the time.

LOL, that's what someone else said (Dolly Parton). Oh, the PT has nothing on this bad boy! It was actually a bit embarassing using it in the B&M. But the VV powers it up just fine. I just have to really hold on to it to keep it from falling out of my hand!

Oh. So that doing lung inhale thing is a normal vape using a dripper like that? I did not know that. I have been trying to figure out what I have been doing wrong. I do not like that type of inhaling. For that I might as well have kept smoking cigarettes. I like my Russian much better. So I guess I won't be buying any more of the rebuildable dripping attys then. Have to stop looking at them and stick to my Russians.

Have you tried the Nautilus? I am reading that some are comparing the vape to the Kayfuns. I am wondering if I should get one for those days I can not build a coil. I hate to be tied to having to buy replacement heads though. And I know I will not rebuild them, even if they can be rebuilt.

I was always a mouth to lung inhaler with cigarettes. I didn't know anyone even did lung inhales. My RDAs, especially the Omega, have such large airflow holes that even in the most closed position it's still too airy for a proper mouth to lung inhale. My Atomic can be closed off enough to do it but it's still not quite the same. I've been practicing doing lung inhales on them and it is getting easier.

I've heard good things about the Nautilus, but like you, I don't want to go back to buying replacement heads. I'm perfectly happy with my KFL+ and don't foresee trying anything else for a long time.

I am so bad that I have a couple of iclear 16s and a Protank 1 that I have never used. Maybe I will start a museum. I do still like my couple of Evods that I have. But they date back to last summer and heads change so much that I do not know if the current heads that are being sold today would work in them.

current heads should still work. might be a bit looser draw if im remembering right, i think it was people used evod heads in protanks for a tighter draw and now kanger sells evod/protank heads together.

Alisa, thats about what my little sticks look like when im going out somewhere. smaller than my evic with 18659 battery, and easier to say its an ecig since its closer to what the people around here are seeing that my large half of a flashlight (had an older lady ask me where the other half of my flashlight was lol!)

im not sure what nic level i need anymore. i know its 12+ at the moment, but i still have alot of 24mg liquids, and some 16-18 that im starting to buy to use in my aqua (slightly smoother and easier on my throat. less of a feeling to always take a drink right after taking a draw). 30mg is starting to be too harsh so i may dilute it down.

insomnia is striking me again. its horrible. really dont like not sleeping when child recently learned how to open the front door last week, and now knows how to unlock the front door as of yesterday. i think ill be buying some velcro to keep the door shut from him but still allow girlfriend to enter if i shut/lock the door before she gets off work rather than use the chain to hold it shut and lock her out.

Glad you got the hang of it! I got lucky and took right to wrapping. First coil ever came in at 2.2 ohms and no shorts, now I'm doing 1.7--did 3 tonight. I use a mini screwdriver, crunch them together, torch 'em a few times and voila! I'm actually rebuilding my Evods, Aro and Protank, and I really enjoy doing it.
Question are you using silica or cotton? I recoiled an evod with cotton and it seems to gunk up fast, but the flavor is so much better!

I have the Igo-L and like it. Nice and simple. The Igo-W is all the rage right now because it is set up for dual coils. It is a solid little rba. I have no interest in dual coils (Famous Last Words) so I am not looking at getting one. I do not know how the draw on the Igo-W is, but I find that the Igo-L will give me a sore throat after vaping it a bit. I think it is harder for me to draw the vapor into my mouth and then inhale on it. A totally different draw and vape then my 510 dripping attys. It is a harsher vape to me than the R91 too. Of course, this is my limited experience on the matter. For the price the Igo L and W are a great rba to learn to build coils on and get a good dripping vape.

Well I almost got and Igo l and it was suggested to get the Igo w... Now to think it thru. I am a buy with out thinking and with these things it's not a good thing, I have two mech mods that I really don't like...

Since I've been using my drippers and my Kayfun, anything above 6mg is just way too much. 12/18 I can do in my EVODs and PTs, but I just don't get as pleasurable of a vape from those, so they sit most of the time.

I found after going to RDA's that I had to drop my nic to 6mg, the 18 and even 12 was just too much on them. I do actually like a lung inhale and find now that I'm used to the drippers I can vape a little higher nic.

The last couple of days I've actually been adding 18 and 24 mg to my 6 to raise it up a bit and last night during the storms I was dripping almost straight 18 like a steam engine.

I'm happy to see that you made it through yesterday's storms ok Shari, hopefully everyone did. We got a little too close for comfort for me, but fared fine. A huge supercell with extreme rotation and tornado signatures cut to the east just south of us by about 5 or 10 miles, but it was coming straight at us for a while.

Goody goody a repeat performance possible tonight.

Hold off on the Nautilus, I know several people who have gotten them and it seems like at first they are great and within a few days dry burnt hits. Changing heads does not seem to fix it, will work great for a few hits and then boom, also they are having trouble with the tanks cracking with non tank cracker juices.

Hi there, I use cotton. It does gunk up quicker, but I still only need to change it every week or two, depending on the juice I use. Well worth it for the flavor, and the amount of vapor is pretty incredible too.

Well I have been using natural cotton yarn so it's already spun together....I tried the cotton balls but what a pain to get it in e coil...
Are you using something magical that I need to know about? I am good with wrapping coils.. But got a cheap little squid dropper before I committed.... Now I am ready to move up was thinking an Igo-w, bigger platform to build on not so intimidating... Any other suggestions from the group if I am not on the right track?

I have had great experiences with both of my Nautilus' they both have great draw depending on how you adjust them, No cracking in mine with any juices I have tried, easy fill I can pour direct from a bottle that doesn't even have a drip. I have a lot of tanks so I can't say how long a head lasts since I use so many now. My guess is each head would last 1 week for a heavy vaper, 2 weeks for a normal vaper. I have not heard many complaints at all about them, Other than the fact the are more vulnerable to cracking because of the design, it is flawed in the way they did not protect it, but it looks darn good on a Provari or an MVP. There is a cure for a broken Aspire should you want to invest further,
Aspire Nautilus Replacement Tank Stainless Steel with Grooves | eBay
or
Aspire Nautilus Replacement Tank Stainless Steel with Dual Triple Groove | eBay
there is even these offered a bit higher cost

Aspire Nautilus Replacement Tank Stainless Steel with Dimple Finish | eBay

or

Aspire Nautilus Replacement Tank Stainless Steel with Diamond Style Grooves | eBay

There are more offerings as well from other vendors

have been fighting off severe pain in my arms, hands, and legs. Have just been posting fast winners and not doing much else. Nothing new all is good for me, rotten for roommate, he probably needs surgery, I will know more very soon. I have to make his appointments with the various DOctors they called to tell us to go to , We have no idea what is wrong still they won't tell. Frustrating!

Feel better Karen, and way to go helping your roommate. I hope it gets better for both of you very soon.

I feel kinda like PBusardo in one of his various atty reviews when he had a great build, but tore it down for a video...

My Kayfun clone is performing great, but the resistance is soooo high on the coil. 2.42 ohms, so it works great on my MVP, but it looks sooo much better on my Nemesis clone. I spun up a 5-wrap 30g parallel coil (fold the Kanthal in half and wrap a normal coil), so it's nice and wide. A 4-wrap tested on a junk RDA deck read .54, so I should be able to get .75-.8 with another wrap....maybe.

Now to finish up this last bit of Golden Drops Strawberry Daiquiri to dry out the tank :D

Looks to be a pretty nice coil, hope I can keep from wrecking it when mounting :D

I also got a little squid to try dripping - it ain't my thang. Too much fussing; I move around too much to be able to drip unless I had a bottle of juice in every room, lol. So, I'm just starting with RTA's - the Kayfun was a PIF I got and it's a bit of a challenge. Since I started with protank and evod heads, the size and coiling up for the Kayfun is pretty much the same. I had a dickens of a time the first couple tries getting the legs to stay under the screws, and the deck is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. I have no experience with the Igo's so can't say if the posts are any bigger or not.

For the cotton, I use any cotton I can find--off Q tips, from the vitamins I get, etc. Boil and strain them 2x, and then I'm good to go. What I do to get them into the coil is to roll then end (about 1" long) into a fine point, then just thread it through the coil. You can also use a cheap needle threader, that works great. I have an advantage though since I have pretty small hands and good eyesight. Disadvantage is that I also have long fingernails, which makes working with the wire a bit of a challenge, but you get used to stuff like that having nails.

Yeah I was using the pinch and roll, but it would get all messy when I put it in my micro coil! Oh well, I thin I might visit one of my vape shops this weekend, see what all they got in! Thanks for the info!
