Hello all,
Sorry to be a pain in the ...., ...., I can't find the response that someone sent me listing at least three places where I could buy WTAs. I've put in every search word I could think of except WTA because I know that will give me more hits than I could possible dream to look through. I was hoping that who ever sent that to me could send in again and this time i'll copy and print it out for my future reference.
Please and Thank You,
TxTig

Andria already linked the sites, but you can search just this thread, its in the same menu you use to subscribe (I think, on mobile so cant double check) or there is a search button which only searches the thread.

This afternoon, I had my 1st "I need a vape" moment! :D

I'm used to the "I need a smoke" moments, and I just vape instead. However, today was the 1st time the language/feeling and thought changed. I hope this make sense.

Hi and welcome, cmantis. You're in the right place. Every one of us in this thread has struggled with quitting. Some have succeeded and others are still struggling. We get it. It took me 3 attempts before I was finally able to replace smoking with vaping. What helped me the most was the people in this thread who were in the same boat as me and understood what I was going through, offered helpful suggestions, and didn't judge me for my failures. Small successes and pats on the back from fellow strugglers go a long way toward bolstering our progress.

Tell us a little more about yourself, your situation, your equipment and your goals. Don't beat yourself up about what you haven't been able to do yet, but celebrate the small steps toward achieving your goal, whether it's to cut down or to become completely smoke-free. We've all been there. Hope to see more of you in our little corner of the forum. :vapor:

This might be one of the few places on ECF where it's unlikely to run into those "I just forgot to smoke" people. :D There is currently a thread about forgetting to breathe, and honestly, I was far more likely to forget to breathe, than to smoke -- or now, to vape. :D

Welcome, cmantis. As long as you're still trying, you haven't failed. :thumb:

I always get a kick out of people saying they "forgot to smoke". Another one that irks me is those who quit smoking "accidentally". How does a real smoker quit accidentally by forgetting to smoke? I was a much more committed smoker than that.

Oh, me too! When we bought this house in 2011, one of the foremost things it had to have was a covered porch somewhere, so I'd have a place to smoke. :D I think I was aware of e-cigs at that point, but hadn't given them much thought or attention. I think my attitude was wait and see if they really become something useful -- so I think I got into them at a good time, in early '14. :D

Yesterday, I was out at the river drinking beer with friends. 1st time at the river since quitting smoking. Although I was chain vaping, I was seriously jonesing for a cigarette. It was the worst I've experienced since quitting 5 months ago. I didn't smoke, but it took all my might not to bum one. I've known that alcohol is a trigger, but didn't realize that being out at the river would be such a huge one too. Feels like I seriously dodged a bullet.

Congratulations! I think you did dodge a bullet. You had several triggers going on at once. You were with a group of smoking friends...you were in a place where smoking was the norm for you...and alcohol was being consumed. Each one of those can cause a huge urge for a recovering smoker to want to smoke, and you had them all going on at the same time. I applaud you for being able to resist that much temptation all at once. Hopefully the next time will be easier.

Hello everyone images.jpg

This is my second attempt at vaping. Both times I bought all the best and I still cant quit.

Hello cmantis and welcome, 1st off this is my second attempt at quitting the 1st time i lasted 11 months before going back. I was upto 3 packs a day of newport 100's. Everyone has something that will drive / motivate them, you have to find yours. Mine was my youngest daughter coming up to me 1 day and telling me "dad my clothes smell like crap and my friends are making fun of me." That was April 3 2013, the next day i went and got a few 1100mah egos with a vivi nova tank and i havent looked back yet. it was hard i will say that it isnt easy even now days i still have alittle urge to smoke. so i know how you feel :vapor:

Not trying to burst your bubble, but having top end gear is no substitute for willpower.

And even having the best gear doesn't mean things can't go wrong... and not having a back-up ready to go can be worse than going cold turkey.

I'd love to talk gear if you have some time and maybe help you tailor it to what you need to get out of it.

Well, on the bonus side I just lit a cigarette and nearly gagged from the taste... put it back out lol, old habits.

On the bad side, we may be off or very short at work tonight.

Btw, for the rebuilders out there, I've got a very simple (highly tested) method for repeatable coils every time for virtually any project. Yell at me for details.

I dunno if it's willpower so much, as just knowing what you really want. Really think about it: do you really want to quit? or is that next cigarette so crucial to your well-being, you literally can't forego it?

I had been quit for 3 1/2 months or a little more, when I had my appendix out -- loved being a non-smoker, I'd do little dances all over the house, so delighted to be not-smoking and not-caring! :D But I was so ill afterward, no way could I vape -- for 4 days. As soon as I was on my feet again, the craving hit. so I vaped, of course... except it tasted like total crap after 4 days off it, and nearly made me sick all over again. Well, no way could I endure yet MORE sickness after what I'd been thru, so I smoked. But I still tried to keep vaping, and started trying lots of fruit flavors instead of tobacco, hoping for something great -- enter Blueberry Muffin, my #1 nosh EVER which I can't eat or I get absolutely obese in no time at all. And the whole time, about a month, I kept asking myself, what do I really really want? I had to keep that idea front and center, that I really wanted to be a non-smoker again. When I got down to 5 a day, I said enough; I knew I could do it, with e-cigs, if I just made myself do it -- I'd done it before. 10 days later, the cravings came back -- so I started using WTA, and the cravings completely left me.

This is going to be totally off topic and completely random, but I GOT NEW STUFFS!

Just picked up a new Tug Boat V2 and a Dark Horse RDA. I don't know why, but the Dark Horse has been something I've eyeballed for a while now. The Tug Boat was the first RDA I thought about picking up, and I'm glad that I did. I absolutely Love this thing. Only a couple of more that interest me really. The Plume Veil, the Samurai, and the Doge V2. So many cool toys on the market.

Thanks for dealing with my giddyness. Talk to you all again soon.

Voodoo,

From experience, the doge is a bit airy unless you match the coil size (# of wraps) to the airflow and the plume veil is a flavor monster. Hope that helps.

I'll shoot some pics of that rebuild technique tonight if anyone is interested in running tensioned coils that are repeatable 99.9% of the time.

OH My Goodness Gracious!!! I just found out that I won the Provape contest for a Provari P3 Celtic Knot. I do not generally enter contests since I am not interested in lots of the new liquids and fancy gear, but this contest was a fit for me. Wow. Can't believe I actually won it.

I have not been on for a few days because my neck is hurting so bad, but it felt a bit better tonight so I came on to catch up. Several people had PM'd me and so did Monster Kenny at Provape. So glad I did not miss out. So I will soon have a P3 in my hands.

Great timing since I am looking at picking up some Vaperstek nicotine so I can start experimenting with DIY. I keep saying that I am going to get going on DIY but have not had the umph. All I have been playing with is the Caramel Pear Black Tea and I can not get it where I want it, so far. So I am going to try some different flavors and I have some TFA ry4 double so hopefully I can make something I like enough to vape in quantity.

How long will the nic last if it is bottled and room temp? What happens to it after 6 or 8 months? Does it go bad? Should I throw it out? One bottle I have is pinkish. Is this ok to use? Afraid to try it until I get a little feedback. Thanks.
