Good to hear that using that pinkish nic is ok. I will read that link to learn what I can about it. Got to get back to reading the diy threads. Been away for a while. Too much stuff in my brain right now to properly absorb more new stuff. lol Have to find some kind of a quality filter for those little brain cells.

OH My Goodness Gracious!!! I just found out that I won the Provape contest for a Provari P3 Celtic Knot. I do not generally enter contests since I am not interested in lots of the new liquids and fancy gear, but this contest was a fit for me. Wow. Can't believe I actually won it.

I have not been on for a few days because my neck is hurting so bad, but it felt a bit better tonight so I came on to catch up. Several people had PM'd me and so did Monster Kenny at Provape. So glad I did not miss out. So I will soon have a P3 in my hands.

Great timing since I am looking at picking up some Vaperstek nicotine so I can start experimenting with DIY. I keep saying that I am going to get going on DIY but have not had the umph. All I have been playing with is the Caramel Pear Black Tea and I can not get it where I want it, so far. So I am going to try some different flavors and I have some TFA ry4 double so hopefully I can make something I like enough to vape in quantity.

How long will the nic last if it is bottled and room temp? What happens to it after 6 or 8 months? Does it go bad? Should I throw it out? One bottle I have is pinkish. Is this ok to use? Afraid to try it until I get a little feedback. Thanks.

When nic is left out it degrades, meaning looses potency and starts getting strong in flavor; "gamey", "peppery", which some people like. But it's not going to be any more toxic or more dangerous. I would've thought there would be some science to the tint color, but there isn't.

Ah. Hah. Maybe that is one reason that I am not liking the CPBT I am trying to make. It seems to be too strong for one reason or another no matter how I tweak it. I am going to have to vape a little of the nic base unflavored and see what it tastes like. I know I do not like peppery nic. Aik, you may have just given me a huge amount of help. I was getting quite disappointed in my DIY skills or lack thereof. It may be the taste of the nic. Back to the drawing board......

I will save my current nic to play with ry4 tobacco types. It may be ok for that type of juice. If not I hear that it will make a good weed killer in my flower bed.

I'm kinda curious what you think of the P3. I haven't delved into the threads, but power boost has me confused and it looks so l-o-n-g.

I run into what I think is a flavor trap where I really like a specific flavor or I'm expecting something because that's what I like - and it never happens. I think it's because I get hyper critical and only that one, narrow range flavor will do. I'm much better off "exploring" and putting together interesting stuff, but then I definatley like hard to define flavors. The bad news is that makes it very difficult to stay under 100 flavors in stock. It's also hard to stay away from commercial pre-mixed juice.

The idea of one flavor or one brand just doesn't compute. That'd be like eating only white bread and just white bread for your entire life! I kinda envy those that do. Some people like fiddling with coils and equipment, for me it's definatley flavors that keep me interested in vaping. Everyone has their own niche.

Good luck in the DIY section. I've wasted months there (and that's not the most extensive one the net).

First off Shari, congrats! The closest I got to winning anything was an ipv3 with new batteries at half price lol.

Your nicotine, and most juice will change color as it gets exposed to oxygen, no worries for over a year. I have a bottle (amber glass) that is stored out of sunlight and has been in use for almost 18 months and still vapes perfectly.

As far as the tfa flavors, watch out when you get the "double" variety as they tend to be in the range of double the normal strength. If you are looking for a solid tobacco-y but not really tobacco tasting flavor I would suggest the tfa ry4 ASIAN at about 12% with a splash of your pear flavor to cut through (maybe 5%, try with no nic just the pear first for testing ~1ml batch) and the ry4 asian tends to settle out to something close to french toast.

I just got a Veritas yesterday. I like it!! It hits just a little different from the Magma, but I was able to get the airflow shut down pretty well, so it's good for mouth hits.

Now I'm starting to think about what new mod to get... some of mine are now in the year-old range, so I have to think about keeping functional vape gear -- electronics don't last forever. At this point, the leader on the wish list is probably the Sigelei 30w box -- I've been more than pleased with my sigelei zmax.

How do you like the VapersTek nic compared to the other major vendors' nic? I would be getting there 'regular' nic since I am NOT looking for throat hit. I am going to buy a 1000ml bottle in pg; it is a bit pricey but I find I am very finicky with peppery nic and nic bases. That is pretty much why I only vape Ahlusion. I recently bought a couple of bottles of my beloved NLV Gold and I find it stronger than I remember it to be, and this is with 6mg instead of the 24mg I was vaping it at. I also find I like my liquids at 70pg/30vg. Even the 50/50 tends to be too much vg for me.

How long did it take you to mix up something you liked? I have a bunch of flavors, but being my stubborn self, I have not tried to mix up anything but that dam CPBT that I can not get just so. I know, dumb. But good and stubborn..........

My brother-in-law was over here earlier today and dropped off a couple of boxes of things that my sister (only immediate family-now gone) put aside or left a list of for me. We both cried a bunch. I have gone through one old photo album of when my mom and her 5 sisters and 2 brothers were young, pre and post WWII. Did not recognize a lot of the people and there are no notes or writings on any of the photos.

The neatest thing - at some point in the 40s my mother had a head shot photo of herself printed on stamps, like postage. A whole sheet of them. I don't remember seeing that before from that time period.

I have not touched anything else. Can't deal with it today. Another thing to put aside for another day.

Which one do you like best? And why. I have heard WizardLabs nic is a little peppery, heard the same thing about RTS. Has Nude taken care of that batch problem a bit ago? People seem to have strong feelings about their nic source. I am looking for clear and as tasteless as possible because I am going to be trying to do some more delicate flavors. And I seem to taste chemicals or nic bases with a bunch of the vendors I have tried (across the board with vendor, not just one flavor).

I do good with Ahlusion, ThePlumeRoom, and NLV sometimes. A lot of the others just do not taste right to me even after a steep. I have not tried most of the newer high end vendors, nor do I plan to. Too rich for my pocketbook.

I like the VT TH nic just fine, though honestly I'm not sure I can tell a lot of diff compared to wizlabs' nicotine -- I still use Flash to really accentuate the TH -- but I love the price of that TH nicotine -- just $10 for 120ml, and I think it's less than $50 for a whole liter. I've never really tasted this "peppery" thing that others talk about -- as far as I'm concerned, the more tingle the better, and the vape just tastes to me like whatever the flavor is.

I had quite a few frustrating attempts at making something blueberry that I really liked; like others have said, I was in a self-defeating rut -- I couldn't make anything that tasted just like sweet-vapes' blueberry muffin, so I thought that meant I was a failure. But then I started reading in the TFA thread, about using creams and vanillas and sweetener, about using high levels of flavoring to avoid that tedious steeping thing, and I got some Inawera Shisha Strawberry and mixed it with some TFA DX bavarian cream, vanilla swirl, CAP sweet cream, and some sweetener -- OH YEAH, THAT'S GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! No failure there at all! It's been my ADV for more than 3 months, it's so yummy!

It's a real gunker, with all that flavoring, but I don't even care! It's delicious! Diketone-free, too!

Hello everyone.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been smoking over 40 years. It is a habit I have been trying to break for at least 20 of them.
I started vaping Ecigs around the later part of 2008 when they first came out and started out with the Joyce 510 with a 280ma battery, this used an atomizer and cart. Old school compared to what is available today.
I have a drawer of equipment purchased over the years. Tried and failed so many times it hurts to admit it.
Probably like most of you, I have tired just about everything to quit, patch, gum, chantex, etc... None could get me over the hump.
The craving was just to powerful. Ecigs seemed to give me the advantage I needed though.
Now to today...Yes I did smoke a analog today, However, only one so far. I find I smoke 2 to 3 a day on average unless alcohol is involved and my defenses drop.
I find one of the the best things to date for myself in equipment is the IStick 30watt with a Kranger sub ohm mini and the Melo tank. This thing hits like a beast!
If I am vaping and I still get the overwhelming urge to have a analog, I bump up the wattage/voltage to get an overpowering hit. It really helps. I found using a standard EGO type battery just did not have the kick I needed to get me over that urge.
I have only been vaping again for a couple of weeks and am working on that ADV juice and I think I have found it.
So, hello again and wish me luck. I think this will work this time even though I am still smoking analogs.
