I'm still dealing with medical crap. I talked to the nurse several times today (kudos for checking up on me) only to discover that once again, the medication prescribed was the wrong thing.

I got some jewelry wire coming and I'm tempted to try and make some beaded wire wraps.

Sorry to hear that you're still having medical issues -- you'd think in this day and age that things would be different. I hope you get it resolved quickly and get to feeling better soon.

If you do some ecig bling I want to see pics!!!

I just read on their thread that someone recently ordered from the Xpress line and one bottle of juice had an exp date of 4/2014. That is not a long shelf life in my opinion, I hope they got it at a discount. I know their juice lasts longer than the 6 month exp they put on the bottle, but still....

I've vaped juice that was 4 years old ... still worked (nic was still there, and obviously it didn't kill me) -- the biggest difference seemed to be that the flavor faded. Well, except for the nasty tasting juices-- those were still just as nasty as day one!

cut down your post just so its not to long to scroll through..

you spent less than i did. first gen ecig way back in 2008 i paid almost 200 for. that was 1 automatic battery, 2 atomizers, and 5 cartridges (about 0.5ml capacity polyfill each). last feburary i bought a Blu starter kit off girlfriends mom that did not like the flavors. it got me to think i could get Ecigs to work for me. last june i went and bought a manual battery that has usb passthrough so i culd use it while it was charging. my buggest complaint about the Blu as i would drain a battery just as another was finishing charging. (thought it was better than the old one i originally bought) and started looking online as i did not want to have to pay ~12 for a new atomizer. found out the connector was proprietary (if you buy it now, its atleast 510/ego threaded. im tryin to get in touch with customer service to swap the batteries i have for the new threaded ones.. but every time i try to contact them they are gone for the day. darn early morning people and closing as i wake up). when i bought the manual batteries i knew ineeded more than 1 battery so i bough the most expensive kit. 2 tank atomizers, 5 tanks (little plastic tank things that slide onto the atomizer), 1 polyfil atomizer and 5 polyfill cartridges and 1 carto. a car charger, and battery. bought a second battery thinking i would need it or have girlfriend use it with me. spent ~300 there in 2 days. later found ECF and learned of all of the other options and how the stuff i had would not connect. bought an Evic and vapeonly bcc mega (3.5ml tank, like a protank but tighter draw) and used that for 4 months until i went to florida and went to a vape shop, bought a hyper tank (5ml tank, like a protank and uses protank heads.), and gingerbread liquid to use. came home, won a contest for a k100 and a rebuildable. started rebuilding a bit. still use my Evic most of the time. use my k100 when im going out with my dripper just for the ease of use and the cold temperatures do not affect a dripper like they do a bottom coil (when my cold liquid warms up it leaks right out of the tank unless its upside down. but i cant vape it upside down or i get dry hits.)

find what works for you. dont count how many you smoke. count the ones you are not smoking and passing up. possibly look into DIY liquid. you need to be confident in your ability to measure up exact ammounts (for the nicotine, and flavors when you find a mix you like), and it becomes cheaper.

I agree about measuring things and highly suggest getting syringes, no needles needed, not even blunt ones.

Check out onestopdiyshop.com for good deals and great hardware. Check out the 1 ml syringes and make sure to put some clear tape over the measuring lines, you'll thank me when you can still read them a month later lol.

Good on the bank stuff, and I think good on the doggie. My kitty had a real raw chin that would not heal. Vet gave her lots of blood work tests and she is healthy so we think allergies? So a big shot of steroids so we are now dealing with a 12lb 'starving' kitty. Poor thing. She had us both feeding her twice a day for almost a week until we figured out she was playing mommy against daddy and getting double food. Now she is on a diet. Chin is better than it was but still a ways to go.

Hope those antibiotics knock out whatever it is. It is so hard when they aren't feeling right.

Thanks Sheri! The doggie has a wicked bacterial infection, which is a relief as it was suspected that it was something much more serious. Now we're just holding our breath hoping she responds to the antibiotics. Not sure what the bank's glitch was, but they've got it cleared up now (thankfully).

I have had a few of the real bakery and creamy ones seem to go bad on me. Got real dark and thick and an 'off' taste. One Ahlusion, a couple of Fuzion, several of MBV and HDV. Even a couple of DiY did not seem to hold up. I have gotten a lot more careful on how my juice is stored. And you are right, a nasty tasting juice does not get better with age for me either. Some juices do need to steep, but if I hate it new, I usually hate it a month or more down the road.

Top,

Hope you won't take this the wrong way, but Divine's post was actually a lot more readable than this one!!!

Paragraphs are your friend. Hope your shift key gets better soon!

My disaster with early e-ciggs was a kit from FreedomSmoker - 2 automatic cigalike batteries, 2 atomizers, and a 5-pack of fiber cartos. $95. The problem was that if you tried to re-fill the carts, and got even the smallest amount of liquid to go into the battery, it died. It wasn't just the cost, it was more that you couldn't depend on something like this as an alternative to cigarettes. And yeah, I felt like crap whenever I roached one of the batteries, but then got mad that they were so fragile.

I really wanted it to work.... I did make a homemade mod that I'm still quite proud of. Took an 18650 battery. Soldered a switch onto the + side. Stripped off some of the shrink-wrap on the negative side, and hooked an adapter (I think it was a 900->510) to the exposed case using a hose clamp. Soldered one wire from the switch to the center connection of the adapter (the other connection was from the outside of the adapter to the exposed battery case, a contact made by the hose clamp).

Was the best vape I had until my daughter's high-school graduation. Waiting for it to start, we smelled something burning, followed shortly by a sharp pain in my leg. I yanked it out of my pocket, and (needlessly) pulled the wire off.

I bought 2 MVP 2.0 Energy PV's a couple-3 weeks ago from an Ebay vendor that has good reviews. Couple of days ago, one of them started auto-firing - nobody near it, just kinda got possessed or something -- and was dead after that. I'm trying to write to the vendor, and maybe there's a refund/repair/replacement solution. I'm just sayin' ... weird event.

The snow/ice situation here has gotten so much hype (probably not wrong) that my schizophrenic son (age 35), who was in a residential care facility, got kicked out because they officially closed, yesterday due to weather, and he was on a 5-day "visitor" status, preliminary to being officially admitted. The place is 1-1/2 hrs drive each way from me, and they called to say 'can you come pick up your son because we're closing due to the weather.'

I've had a possessed ecig before -- and yeah, it's scary! Mine was a 901 (cig-a-like) and I had it in my pants pocket so that I could stealth vape at work -- next thing I knew it felt like my leg was on fire. It was firing and just wouldn't stop. And it was just my luck that I was in the middle of a conversation with my district manager when this happened ... and there I was, trying to look composed as I danced around, pulled it out of my pocket, slapped my leg (to make sure that I wasn't really on fire), and then unscrewed the offending ecig. He started to ask me "what the ???" but I stopped him and told him to not even ask (this was back in 2009 when no one had even heard of ecigs). I've never really trusted my ecigs since then.

That is so messed up about them calling you to come get your son! I'm glad they were able to bring him to you (safely), but what the heck would they have done had you not been comfortable with having him there? (I'm quite familiar with schizophrenia/family issues so this really concerns me -- I'd expect a facility, or a group home, to have a procedure in place if this were the scenario).

I haven't been able to quit as of yet, but I'm determined, and hopefully with my new shipments coming in I will be successful.

Sorry for the novel...:D

Greetings, Sheila, and welcome to the gang! And hey, we LOVE novels :) Thanks for the background, all that stuff is really great to hear and helps us get to know you. Those here who are a lot more experienced than I am will know a lot better what to recommend as time goes on. A LOT of the folks here are getting incredibly fancy with their experiments and customizations ... me, I'm at the basic equipment and juice experimentation stage, but I'm having so much fun with it and with the gang here that all I can say is that I am POSITIVE you're in the right place!

come on lox's i need help figuring out peaches n cream, still wondering what im missing:offtopic: trying french vanilla in it now im missing the creamy part lol dammit been on this 1 since august:tumble:

JJ, I thought you had nailed that flavor? I was going to ask YOU for the recipe!

In general, I have found most stuff that tries to be "cream" to be "not creamy". I used to think MBV's "sweet cream" was disgusting, until someone (I think it was Karen) said "Yeah, tastes like butter". And she was right, as butter it's pretty good, but that's not what I think of when I hear "Sweet Cream".

Maybe you have to come at it from the outside? I got some flavors from MBV (FA) and the Vanilla Butternut is something I really liked.
I think it would go well with the peach, and with other fruit flavors (Not sure about some of the tart berries, like blackberry, but I bet it would go OK with strawberry). I will give some of this a try over the next couple of days; my first target is Hangsen Juicy Peach with the Vanilla Butternut (and maybe a little VG to balance, but only if I need to).

It just seems to me that flavorings that try to be "Cream" (sweet cream, whipped cream, bavarian cream, vanilla custard, etc) always disappoint.

(Now I'm going to have to try the VanBut with the Liqua Coffee, too!!!)

Hi All!

I've been lurking around for a few weeks now, and figured it was time to get a move on. :)

Anyway here's some background...

Sorry for the novel...:D

I love your story. I'm still not off the analogs completely either, but I know I will be soon, as long as I keep vaping and trying. I get disappointed in myself too, but I'm trying to concentrate on how much better I feel already, and how much worse I will feel if I give in and have more than four or five analogs per day.

I love my Vision Spinners too!

Ever have a time where you just want to say F*&% it!... and just go back to smoking because it just seems that it would make everything easier again?

Well that's where I am now. Its not even a dependency or vaping issue, I was just curious if anyone else felt the same from time to time.

Don't want to just sit and vent so I won't bother anyone, thanks

Yeah, frequently, but ECF is a very good support group. If it wasn't for this forum, I don't think I would be doing anywhere near as well as I am.

Nicotine and all the other stuff in analogs is so addictive, but hang in there. If you slip from time to time, don't let it discourage you. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start vaping all over again!
