You're right Shari, it's definitely been quiet today - I need to post more, even on the slow days...

Denver's getting a reprieve from the bitter cold, and it hit almost 60 today. Almost like summer!

Now if I can just kick this darn cold that's been beating up on me. The sinus congestion and raw throat have made it hard to vape. 18mg and even 12mg hurts more than analogs, so I've fallen off the wagon a bit. Only 1/2 PAD, but still disheartening. I'm doing my best to not get angry at myself for it.

I also took a puff at my desk yesterday using my EVOD VV with an iTaste 16 on it and was embarrassed to see a cloud of vapor floating above the cubicle...need to practice my stealth vaping when I'm at work. Luckily nobody noticed it, or at least they didn't say anything. I think I should drop down to my EVOD clearos at the office. Less vapor, so easier to be stealthy. Co-workers have been supportive when they've seen my PV, but I still get self-conscious.

The factory coil on my Octopus finally shorted out too (only when the cap is on it), so guess I better get building if I want to drip at home :D

My thing is to exhale into a cup with a lid. Do that several times and wait a bit for it to settle. Then you can pour it out, the vapor will float down and disappear. For giggles, I'd pour it into a trash can if anyone was watching. It flows like water.

PS. It was 83F today.

I have read about several people recommending Biotene for dry mouth. I wonder if that may help a little with your throat pain? I have used the Cepacol (sp) lozenges when I had a sore throat and they helped a little, but I think the taste would throw your juice taste way out of wack.

The stealth vaping at work issue is another thing. First, make absolutely sure what your company's policy is on vaping in/at work. There have been people that have been fired for vaping at their job. Do not take chances. All it takes is one uneducated or disgruntled employee/coworker/customer to start a firestorm.

Higher pg will cut down on vapor production but will increase throat hit and subsequently probably not work for you right now. Stay away from juices that have cinnamons, spices and I think citrusy stuff. Just a tiny hint of cinnamon in a juice for me makes it feel like I am vaping broken glass, though I am sensitive to cinnamon. Can not be soothing to a raw sore throat. I have read several threads about the techniques people use to stealth vape. I find it fascinating that people will vape into their armpits, etc.

Hope you start feeling better real soon.

That is disgusting.

Not the vaping into a cup with a lid; the temperature. I will not even repeat that profanity.

I just read on their thread that someone recently ordered from the Xpress line and one bottle of juice had an exp date of 4/2014. That is not a long shelf life in my opinion, I hope they got it at a discount. I know their juice lasts longer than the 6 month exp they put on the bottle, but still.... I have read the regulars saying it is about a 2 week steep. I am not going to order from Xpress line anymore. Just my personal decision. I would rather steep the juice myself. I really believe that I just may not like their cake base. Other people that I know have similar tastes to mine in other areas like the SVC and BVC just fine, so it must be my tastebuds. And I have a bottle of their Strawberry Shortcake and really like it.

Mine were from Express line.

Aik, those little mech mods and attys are very pretty. I think some of the mechs are more beautiful than the regulated vv/vw mods. I just do not think I would like mechs and I do not trust myself to monitor my battery life. I frequently find myself running my spinners until they die, and sometimes the MVP2 also. So I am not mech material. But they are sure pretty and the attys are cute too.

I use an unprotected 18350 battery in my Gripper and I'm not worried about it. That's all I'd use in any mech and I'd aim around 1.7 - 2.0 with coils. Average all the way. I would get a seperate tester rather than using one of my mods though.

YMMV but I suspect eliquids using alcohol burn my mouth too. Rather severely. Took a week to heal.

Yep, I've read all about the instant firings and such. I work for state government, and thus far only one agency has explicitly prohibited vaping (they even used the term e-cigarette in the policy). That's the Health Department though, and they've gone to a "nicotine free campus". They can't even use the patch or gum without a doctor's note.

There are a few people who openly vape in their cubicles, and their neighbors are okay with it. My neighbors have seen my devices and are fine as well, but I still get self-conscious.

I found yesterday that making sure to increase my water intake by another 1/3 helped. Keep the whistle wet, and the vape doesn't feel like gargling razor blades :D

Well, my darlings, I've been reading for some hours to catch up...

Claudia, Aik, twg, and others whose names I can't remember and that isn't fair but it's my senile brain so forgive me please -- I'm in AWE of your advancements in coiling etc -- someday I might become a grown-up like you folks! I'm grateful that you post this stuff so that in the future I can look back on it for reference!

Silly central NC here with the snow/sleet/ice weather, everybody is shut down and it's a PITA! Even FedEx has canceled service hereabouts. My little part-time job is shipping pets to overseas destinations (military and corporate transferred families), so when there is bad weather anywhere across the US, some of my shipments get canceled -- bad stuff that I have to work around. As long as the pets are in good care and not stuck, all is well. Me with one heat pump not working, I'm SO GRATEFUL that I have 3 dogs and 3 cats -- I get 'em all piled up on me and there's no way I can freeze :)

I bought 2 MVP 2.0 Energy PV's a couple-3 weeks ago from an Ebay vendor that has good reviews. Couple of days ago, one of them started auto-firing - nobody near it, just kinda got possessed or something -- and was dead after that. I'm trying to write to the vendor, and maybe there's a refund/repair/replacement solution. I'm just sayin' ... weird event.

The snow/ice situation here has gotten so much hype (probably not wrong) that my schizophrenic son (age 35), who was in a residential care facility, got kicked out because they officially closed, yesterday due to weather, and he was on a 5-day "visitor" status, preliminary to being officially admitted. The place is 1-1/2 hrs drive each way from me, and they called to say 'can you come pick up your son because we're closing due to the weather.' I said UMMM, the conditions where I am are worse than where you are... how many people do you want to endanger? So the case manager actually decided to drive my son to me, at his own (and my son's) risk, with his wife yelling at him the whole way.

They made it safely, thank God. So I dunno, my son will probably have to do another 5-day visit preliminary to admission -- but he and his case manager bonded pretty well when the case manager got stuck in my snow-covered driveway and my son helped push him out. GEEZ!

Shari - someone just pointed this out to me and it looks up your alley because I'm too impatient to drip (I want tanks). Anyway, it looks interesting.

YIKES. A possessed pv. That's a nightmare. I expect a movie soon (sorta like those semi trucks + Chucky).

It sounds like that facility for your son is caring which can be hard to find and it sounds like he's bonding there. PITA now, but long term could be a good thing. I hope it works out.

How funny. We must have seen the same post. I just got off the site after watching the video on rebuilding the little guy. Looks almost like the build of an evod head. Too small for me. I just got an Igo-L and like the taste from it. I am going to play with that one for a while to get my coil winding practice in. I am involved in a Russian 91% purchase that has a good 12 week wait for arrival (I know. I am nuts to wait that long for something that I do not know if I am going to be able to use) Hopefully by then I will be a lean, mean, coil winding machine. lol That Dripper Pro would look sweet on my provari mini, but price is too dear and I am hopeful I can do coils for a tank style Kayfun type (Russian) so I can go all day without a care to dripping but keep the flavor up there. Thanks for that link.

Marla, that does not seem right that they can just call and tell you, oops-snow, we are closing. I thought it was a residential placement. It is good that he was brought to you though. Wonder how many people were having to drive hours to pick up their loved ones. What happened to the ones with no in state family? Glad it ended ok for you and son. Hope this weather improves soon.

This is the winter from/in hell. The cold version.

I don't think I understand what all the hullaballo is about with the Russian. Before that it was the Kraken, the Kayfun before that and they all seem so similar. Just the holes and base change. I like the idea of the ceramic cup. I'm betting it's going to be like electronics where if one waits a little longer, something better comes out. No screws removes half the wrapping IMO. I just have to wait for the clone to improve on the design some ... and fit my vape budget. It may be awhile. See? I always talk myself out of rebuilding.

I should just give up. No one makes a decent clearo for a 20mm mod. That's why I keep getting stuck.

Karen - I see you lurking. Hope your feeling better.

I haven't seen or heard from Thaya or Dale for awhile. Hope their power's not out.

I think everyone is pretty weary and weather beaten from these past couple of weeks, actually this whole winter, for some. I know I am spending a good portion of my day arguing with the insurance company and on the hunt for contractors for floors, islands, granite, etc. Either they are book for a few months or want to charge to come measure, or do not want the size of job this is. The insurance company sucks. I am having to argue for a week to get each line item corrected or increased in dollar amount. I am exhausted and it is just beginning. Ugh.

Hopefully our people are warm and safe in their homes. We will hear from them soon, I hope.

Im here, child lost a phone charger plug. 6foot cord and its just GONE. No clue where he stuck it. Ive checked everywhere including the heat vents. So girlfriend and I are sharing a charger. Child wants to watch more of his cartoons on my tv instead of his room so I have less time to post. I read mist of what's posted. Typing a post at 15% % battery is a risk of battery dyibg quickly. I tend to get distracted while typing my response. Aikanae, im willing to be a guinea pig. . And ill even have my friends try them too lol. Anything that is shipped to me I have my friends try a drip ir two so they can expand thier catalog of flavors they like ir dislike and order what they want.
