Our friend is a sweetheart. But he is very rigid in his ideas and desire to try new things. He also is illiterate so I have to be careful on how I explain and teach things to him. He is worth the time. I do not believe that he understands how ill he is. He thinks doctors are going to give him a few pills and put stents in his calf blood vessels and he will be back to normal. No, they are trying to save his feet for a bit longer. Same with the oxygen. He won't use it when out and then wonders why he is so tired and yawning after a couple of hours. Well, he is not getting enough O2 to keep his blood oxygenated. Tried to explain it to him for last month or so and he still does not get it. Or is refusing to accept it. Breaks my heart. But I keep trying, without nagging. The not nagging about this is a job for me. It takes tack and thinking about what and how I am going to say things. DH and I watch him leave after a visit and sit and wring our hands. We can't really DO anything.
I have a friend like that, he thought the idea of ecigarettes was cool but didn't know how to get started with them or anything about them. He came and asked my wife and I because we might give him crap for being ignorant but he would feel less stupid than asking a stranger.
Now he is using a small and cheap ego-style set up from a gas station and has even cut back on his chewing tobacco use since he started vaping.
He watched me working on my first dual-coil nano build last night after he got to try a low ohm dripper and wanted to know how hard it would be for me to build it for him (and do all the maintenance lol) he is pretty much all thumbs.
He is similar to your friend, several health problems and is slowly working on them. At one point he was over 400lbs and is starting to get to a more manageable weight.
He still thinks that drippers are too much work and that he wouldn't be able to keep up with the maintenance without messing them up, but he is quite happy to take the juice my wife and I don't like and give us back the bottles for diy, so I don't mind helping him out from time to time.
Best of luck with your friend and I hope your vaper's tongue clears up soon!
something i hate to do lol but im around
