Welcome to the thread, Sam. It is easy to pick up a cigarette when your vaping is not satisfying you or you seem to go through your consumables quickly. Although vaping using an atomizer or head a day is still a lot cheaper than smoking in most states.

When I used Kanger products I always made sure that I had a few 5 packs of heads for backups and I was good about rinsing them out and setting them aside for rebuilding. I never was able to rebuild the tiny evod/protank coils so I ended up getting myself a Russian 91% and I can build the coils on that and I wick with Koh Gen Doh cotton. Before that I used organic cotton balls.

I also use Joye 510 attys to drip in. They last weeks and give you a flavorful vape. The major drawback is that you are tied to dripping and carrying a juice bottle with you all the time. But they are my go to for when I can not get my coil or wick just right on my Russian, or when I am tasting new juices.

There also is the factor of you deciding how much you want to stop smoking. Everyone has the ability to choose. Smoking and vaping is fine, lots of people do that all the time, they just usually do not post about it. Some people start vaping and never pick up another cigarette. A lot of people do struggle with the cravings and wanting a cigarette, some more than others.

What are you using for equipment. I see you got yourself a Nautilus. That is a nice tank and I hear the BVC coils are supposed to be really good, better than the bdc. I do not know if you can rebuild those or not.

my nautilus will last about a month before i have to swap the atomizers. not bad but sometimes i kinda feel bad for them when ive been vaping too much...lol. i guess thats one good thing about working outside.

Welcome to the thread Sam... I see you met our Greeter lol.

I'm the rebuild geek (or at least I think I am) and yes, I started with a ProTank.

As far as getting a month out of a single factory-made coil, its pretty dang good. My pro tank coils were lucky to make 2 weeks! My dripper coils now, let's just say they outlast my bottles of juice...

If you are looking for something that will last a bit longer between "maintenance" take a look at the Kayfun or Russian. Clones are priced close to the Nautilus and work quite well, good performance and juice life and the build can take as little as 3 minutes with practice.

Welcome to the thread, Sam. Don't feel bad. You are doing better than you think. (Personally I have to again reset my vaping counter since I have been straight smoking since the last time I updated it. lol)

But it sounds like you are getting closer and closer.

As we have said many many times in this thread. having a comfortable, reliable vape is essential. So glad the nautty is working out for you. I, too, recently picked one up. For a tank with changeable heads, it works pretty good. Better than I had expected.

If anyone hasn't told you yet, the BVC heads are much superior to the BDC heads, at least IMHO and in the opinions of many I have talked to.

I just still find the only thing that can really handle a darker juice is a rebuildable. Not that it necessarily "handles" dark juices better, but easier and cheaper just to throw in some fresh cotton. Not that I prefer darker juices, but there are some flavors out there I have a preference for that are just darker.

ive been vaping a few months now but i still smoke a little. its only because my job is so boring (security guard) that i used to chain vape and burn out my atomizers too fast. once a week or every other week ill buy a pack of marlboro special blends or newport non-menthols (my favorites from when i had a regular cigarette habit) to try to give my ecig a break. although now i have a nautilus tank and it seems to hold out longer than the x2o clearos i had before.

There are videos out regarding rebuilding both BVC and BDC now. Personally, I don't wanna go near rebuilding those things, but that is in part that I wanted something I didn't have to rebuild, as I am restricting my play time more and more lol. But yes, it IS possible. There are some youtube vids out on both.

But I do agree with you on the backup thing. To me, one of the first rules of vaping is have a backup and have a backup for your backup. Because once you do get some "vaping-without-smoking" time under your belt, the worst thing to happen is to start the struggle all over again not because you had a slip in willpower but malfunction in gear/juice order not getting to you in time/etc.

I've been using a cartotank with my Blueberry Muffin/Banana Nut Bread -- that Banana Nut Bread is nearly black -- and it works great! I switched to the cartotank from a Mini Protank II, because I just kept getting that hot metal taste with this juice, maybe because it's such a gunker. I do have to change the cartos about weekly, to keep it tasting good, but otherwise, it works perfectly.

It's a Smok UDCT, but I don't use dual-coil cartos, can't abide dual coiled ANYTHING; I use single-coil 3 ohm 2-hole cartos, which are also Smoktech. Never a problem with this juice in those cartos, except as I said, they don't last the usual 2-3 wks, but only about a week or so before the taste starts to suffer a little.

Wait, wait. Do you mean you started rebuilding with a protank? I asked because that is how I got started down this horrible path myself. :p

I started with a T3S... THEN I did a mini PT II... both are pretty small, but I think I preferred the T3S. Those tiny-coil building skills came in handy today, I just got my new Igo-S, and that thing is tiny. So instead of my usual 7/64 drillbit, I used a 3/32. I also liked 3/32's in a T3S, but you have to mount it "freestyle" since the drillbit won't fit in the slots; same for the mini PT II.

Ahhh. I got the protank partly on the good reviews, but mostly because I saw a video from Grimm that showed him rebuilding one. I thought, well thatll save money, get a protank, some silica and wire and just rebuild the heads. That was my first rebuild. Still using an ego, btw. Then the IGO-L, still on an ego batt. Then it all went downhill from there.

Nope, went from a pro tank to an innokin i30 and to drippers and big clouds. Tanks aren't the same anymore

Any mixers here can give me a recommendation on percentage on a particular flavor?
Loranns Butterscotch for 50/50 PG/VG and 100% VG
Id stay around 10%. If you have straight pg and vg start playing with the flavor at 1ml sizes in the pg/vg ratio you want and find your % before you mix it with nicotine.

Always use syringes, and get ejuicemeup... calculator
