How about a plug for the air tube to prevent juice from getting into it when refilling a carto?
Along with cindycated's suggestion for the multi-size battery port charger, THIS would be sweet! You know, I've never thought of this myself but I'm sure someone on here has made something at home for this. I'm going to look that up later! Thanks, awsum!

But, the center tube is much narrower in the standard cartos than in the XL's, so something to consider, it would have to taper to accommodate both. /nod
I agree, the last 4 autos have had very airy draws. Heather from customer support suggested I try a silver one instead of a yellow and sent it to me for free along with another yellow one, but they have airy draws too. I deal with it because I love SI and just put a toothpick in it, but new people may not be as understanding. Because I use the manual x2 at home, it's not that bad, but someone Who is exclusively using the auto may get frustrated.
This applies to the auto x2 as well. I am returning mine because it is so airy unless I use a carto with a cone

I just read about the user who had problems with their Volt batteries in Chit Chat. It's probably a cleaning issue which made me think of the issue I have, I am surrounded by kitchen towels and toothpicks here on my desk, I know I should just dump them but that brings me to the suggestion.
What about a designated cleaning tool for the Volt batteries something like a toothbrush head with bristles that we could twist the end of the battery on, it would turn a fiddly and time consuming job into a breeze... and keep my desk clean.

That is the best suggestion I have seen on this thread. I hate cleaning my batteries. I get worried about hurting them, and have a hard time getting into the nooks. If there is any drawback to the 808 thread, it's having to deal with cleaning in that battery rather than have a female section where you could just put a q-tip in

Hey, guys. 2 upright toothpick holders, one with round toothpicks (they're sturdier), and one with cotton swabs(qtips); a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and a tooth-type brush, maybe something smaller. This will tend to all your cleaning needs.

My suggestion for a cleaning kit, until SI gets one together, is to use a cleaning kit made for paint spray guns. They contain a number of small brushes and picks that are perfect for cleaning battery threads and they are solvent proof. They cost 20 to 30 bucks, but if you want the "right" tools for the job they can't be beat.
The site is really confusing when it comes to picking a slim battery. If I go to the Auto area first, there's a handful of colors, but if you go to the Battery Selector area, then there's more colors - like Copper doesn't show up in the Autos but it does in the combined Selector place. Couldn't all those things just be consolidated into one place to choose your battery? Pick the type, color, and length. Bad enough these are listed under Accessories, which to me means cases and chargers, etc. Usually batteries are under their own heading. I'm used to it now but new folks wouldn't think to look there.
Yeah, it's getting a little unwieldy. May be time to start a new "Batteries" heading...or at least change the order of things under there...
