Will be expensive. Lot of cutting to do to accomplish that.
I woulda thought poly/acrylic/PMMA would be in a mold or hot pressed or something of the like. I mean, GUS did it seemingly easily and svoemesto did it from Steel. Wouldn't it be similar and easier for plastic?

Anybody having a problem with juice seemingky creeping into the air-flow path. Its not flooding per se, I get many hours of fine vaping and then for some reason a slight kinda wet, light gurgling thing kicks in. I thought initially it was because i dumped juice down the deck chimney but I have rewicked it four or five times with at least four different wicking materials (rayon, muji, bacon and cotton/rayon mix) now, high coil, low coil, and the same thing happens every time. More wick, less wick. Tried a few things. JF anywhere between 1.5 and 2 turns (the latter with 70VG). It vapes well, 1.2 ohm now at 14W, but this squeaky, gurgling thing always starts eventually. Now its often when the juice level is low. Possible one of the orings is a bit screwy and Im losing vacuum?? I'm a bit perplexed. I'm a klutz but I know how to build a bloody atty without these issues...apparently not with the V3...
Any ideas suggestions gratefully received cos I'm nearly out of them?!?!
Hi guys, first post but I've been lurking here since I bought my kfmv3. Lots of great info here so I thought I'd register and try and give back if I can.

I've noticed a similar gurgling issue with mine if I restrict the airflow too much. I've also noticed that during the day the airflow seems to increase slightly on its own... Only a little, but once the airflow increases they gurgling tails off.

I've just been doing some digging and noticed that SM sell a plastic replacement airflow screw that is supposed to eliminate both these issues. It's listed for the K4 but is also compatible with the mini. I don't have enough posts to give you a link, but take a look and see what you think. Creme de vape have them in stock, I think I'll order a pack and see if it makes a difference.

It's still tooled unfortunately. Definitely easier with a straight tank. But a tank with multiple widths will need tooling.

Is this what you are talking about?

Thanks @Bronze those are the ones. The description is slightly better on SM's site :

A better choice for hard draft setup

- also usable for Kayfun Mini V3

- no gurgling sound

- stays better in place

@TheotherSteveS do you have the airflow really restricted like myself? I wonder whether others that haven't had the issue are using a looser airflow setting.

so I'm not crazy :)
I've discovered today while tightening the airflow (which felt looser than when I initially set it up some days ago) I could've sworn that the screw was unscrewed significantly.
so sucking at it (too hard) will loosen the screw?

just found out about the plastic screws as well. Would give 'em a try, but 2€ for the screw +4€ for delivery is just too much for two pieces of plastic...

Apart from this rather minor issue, after almost a week of daily use as the all-day-atty, I'm very happy with this thing :)

PS: A "tip" I read somewhere else was to "deshape" the threads of the screw with pliers a bit so it will sit tighter. However I don't think I want to go down that road...

Holy cow was that fast!!! Too bad it's useless until the batteries I ordered from a US vendor reach me....

Wow was that fast! That was like 2 business days from the UK!

Dang... Gonna go look and see how long the batteries might take to get to me.. I think they just shipped today.

Try using the spare screw in your spare parts bag. Sometimes that one will set tighter. If that doesn't work, then wrap a couple layers of teflon tape around the threads.

Thx Bronze, good idea.
Will give that a try the next time I'm annoyed by the issue.
I had to use an uncommon lot of force to get the screw in all the way in the first place, so it's a good guess that the spare one would sit tighter...
It's a trick many used with their original KFLs. They'd get a little leaking out the fill hole so they dug into their spare stash and swapped out the fill screw and that solved the problem for many people.

I use these on a K4 for my tight draws. The K4 had the same issue with gurgling until these appeared. Since then no more gurgling issues. I was lucky to get 2 of these from SM a few months before they appeared on sale, for "testing", so to say.

That's one small screw. I have a difficult time finding the slot side. I could never put Teflon tape on it without losing the screw first.
