Have fun with it Diver. Let us know how it works out for you.

I'm thinking my air flow screw might loosen on its own. I prefer a tighter draw. Tightened it twice and now third time. I think it is working itself loose. Might have to teflon tape it.
I worry about any teflon tape coming into contact with a hot coil while vaping.

Uhm, if you can get teflon tape from the airhole screw to the coil...you did it waaaaaaaaay wrong.
Not according to my thinking.

Could you explain how you think it would be a none issue?

Thanks, Jim

It shouldn't be anywhere near the coil.
Keyword... Shouldn't.

If anyone wraps their screw with teflon tape. Then it is in the threading which leads directly to the coil.

Further, as you install and adjust that screw, you are shredding the teflon tape.

As long as you don't unscrew the screw, you should be ok. But, just as soon as you unscrew it, you have left shreds of tape inside on the coil/airpath side of your vape.

Not something I would do.

Curious of the result of it hitting a hot coil?

Thanks, Jim

Nevermind, I just googled:

outgassing of burning teflon tape

I won't be wrapping any screws for my vape devices with it.

Hard not to like this little jewel of an RTA.
No doubt man, really loving this vape. It's the perfect size for me, I alway have at least 6 mods and tanks in rotation at home, so it doesn't bother me it's 2mls. Even at work I bring 2 or 3 so even if each was as little as 1ml, it will last me. I know some just may only use 1 device, in that situation , I can see small tanks a pain. I also love the flavor, heat, and airflow. Perfecto

No Jim. The amount of tape we're talking about here is minuscule and it will be isolated between the threads. We're talking 1 - 2 layers of tape and any shreds will go down, not up (toward the coil). I'm pretty sure plumbers and firemen have breathed in a whole lot more burning teflon tape than I will.

Until you back it out to fine tune your airflow adjustment...

It is a bad idea.
