ETA: the pics are of the SX Zero even though the thread is about the Yosen Zero

Yeah those few pics of the 510 and insides were all I have seen .. thought perhaps seeing the photos of 510 removed might answer your question.

FYI to all interested parties .. Eachely has resumed production however the back log of SS SX Zero must come first. The Wood version will resume production once they have caught up on the SS version for which I am told they several outstanding orders. I didn't press for a time frame because I don't like to be an annoyance to those are sharing freely with me. But my contact has promised to let me know as soon as the Wood version is done :)

Looking to get my first regulated box mod and I'd come across pictures of the Zero and the Champion GT all on social media. Come to find there's a cheaper alternative to the authentic which I'm excited about.

My question is what are the pros to having a single 18650 box mod versus a dual one. And the pros to having a gravity control vs one with buttons. I read several pages back someone mentioned that you don't really changes the settings top often, but with this being my first box mod, I don't think I have my preference dialed in yet. I'm also going to need to read a lot more about all the different chip functions as well. Thanks!

PS. Really like the aesthetics and form factor on here.

As for single or dual battery, it depends what you're running on it. If you're vaping close to 50W, dual batteries can certainly help so you aren't changing them out as often. Dual batteries go longer between charging.

Getting your vape fine tuned with the gravity sensor can be annoying, but once you have it you're good. If you change attys or builds a lot, you might prefer buttons. I have a lot of mods now, so I don't make a lot of changes. I'm very pleased with the output accuracy and build quality of this mod.

Hi Everyone,
I have read and then re read this entire thread several times in the hope that I don't make myself look a complete fool. (Some hope I hear you all cry LOL)
I ordered a Yosen Zero 40w Mod in Gold about 2 weeks ago, the lady I dealt with was Carol Yang and very helpful she was too. At the time of being invoiced and sending payment, I was told that the lead time was 7 days, I also paid for the faster (sic) DHL delivery. Having heard no more, I contacted Carol on skype on Wednesday to ask for an update. She said that it would be shipped this week and that she would skype me or send an email to confirm this. I have not heard anything, so assume that it will not have been shipped. I am just wondering what sort of time line I should realistically be expecting? I placed this order as a 60th birthday present to myself and that date has come and gone, not that it really matters, but I am getting a little anxious.
I see that the new SX is "In Stock" supposedly and was wondering whether to change my order. But I had set me sights on the Gold Zero, but, if you are all saying that the SX is a vast improvement over the Zero, I could forego Gold.
Not that it should make any difference, but I am based in the UK, which is why I opted for the DHL delivery as it would be far quicker.

Any comments or observations would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance
Rob

Hi there ... None of us have said that the Yosen SX is a vast improvement over their prior offerings, because none of us have the Yosen SX. I don't believe any of us have the newer Gold or Black DNA style Zero either .. personally I am not interested in that particular Zero.

The SX Zero that we have been enjoying, and primarily discussing is not from Yosen, it is from Eachely/Hotcig.

The unit you have on order is a 40 Watt "temperature controlled" unit. It also is a true Zero clone and has the plus and minus buttons instead of that junky gravity sensor with no other option to adjust. The temperature control is a fantastic feature and if you are building your own coils with nickel wire a feature that is superb!

The Hotcig units mentioned here are junk. The sleeves are all wobbly and dont fit correctly. They will overhang on one side and be short on the other. Other sleeves will not fit their unit and the only other option is a black sleeve if you want to change it (which Im sure also wont fit) Their chip, no matter what anyone says here is a CLONE! And they can't even get that right and say it's an SX300 when there are manufactures using AUTHENTIC SX350 chips in their Zero's. And if anything ever, which it will, happen to go wrong with it, good luck getting them to honor their warranty -- unless of course you purchase it through a good dealer who will, for good will, refund you and have a expensive door stop.

The reason for your backorder is that the chinese manufacturers have not had the DNA 40 temperature control chip until just now. They should start shipping this week from ALL the manufacturers. YiHi does NOT have a temperature controlled chip as of yet but will release one very shortly....so for now, if the temp control is an important feature for you this is your option. Yosen doesnt have a Gold, or even silver version of the SX..... Theirs only comes with a non-changeable colored sleeve.

No one here has the NEW Hotcig units either as they just received their FAKE CLONED chips this week and have not shipped any with this new version yet either. If you don't want to wait, perhaps you can find a dealer with old inventory of the 50W, or even a 30/35 Watt version. But, IMHO, I would certainly wait the extra week.... that temperature control is a MUST and feature that will completely change the mods in the future.

And before the bashing.... I haven't been wrong yet! My source is from within the HotCig organization, been confirmed and no point posting pics or transcripts as it will only get someone fired.

Ohhhh.... and on the Hotcig units, you will just barely be able to SQUEEZE your 18650 battery in. Almost impossible to remove without a tool. And if/when you do it will notice it will CRUSH in both the top and bottom of your battery.

So here is a closer look at the Yosen SX, interestingly enough they showed the one color that I like the least, the yellow  But its still nice to get a closer look at it. I should have the Blue one by Monday or Tuesday.

Have you pushed yours to 50w or wanted to go higher than that?

Successfully opened the unit. The 510 is just screwed in but the real key to getting the unit opened is removing a small allen screw underneath the hotcig sticker. Seems like the height of the wood is a few mm too small. It makes the battery connections and 510 almost bend inward. If I wanted to completely sure up the usb charge port I'd have to redo the hot glue. Im not sure what type of glue the manufacturer used to seat the face of the wood to the SS plate. I'll have to find something better in the future.

I didn't snap any photos while inside the unit but im sure I'll be back in there soon enough
