Notice each of the Yosen acrylic ones are different. Maybe I would like a blue one :)

Yup I did notice that, which I rather like, but then it also makes me nervous because some of the blue one's are lighter than the others due to the white marble. I hope it get a fairly dark one, but what will be checking closely is the 510 threading, and also the assembly of the chip. With the Eachely version in the bag at least I know what to look for.

Now I am dying to compare Eachely's wood to Yosen's new one .. FC's next batch of SS Zero have already shipped with an ETA of 1/22. Happy they got the extra sleeves too because I have been waiting and waiting for a spare one so that I can get my red wrap on there :2cool:

Successfully opened the unit. The 510 is just screwed in but the real key to getting the unit opened is removing a small allen screw underneath the hotcig sticker. Seems like the height of the wood is a few mm too small. It makes the battery connections and 510 almost bend inward. If I wanted to completely sure up the usb charge port I'd have to redo the hot glue. Im not sure what type of glue the manufacturer used to seat the face of the wood to the SS plate. I'll have to find something better in the future.

I didn't snap any photos while inside the unit but im sure I'll be back in there soon enough
Mine wasnt so good inside but Its one of my favourite mods after some heavy modding the SX350 is bigger than the 300 board and the USB/data board is tricky. I think they used gasket silicon glue/sealant I love the stuff never used it before! My wish for 2015 is no hot glue what so ever in any mod I touch. I really dislike the stuff its quick but nasty and makes everything it touches cheap;) unless of course its that black keratin stuff for hair extensions;)

hana modz won't have much luck though;)

This was my first attempt but I need to move the 350 board down and figure out how the hell to use silicon wire 14G for the 25A+ or so at 60W there is no room inside a Zero for the correct gauge of wire. Need to fix the USB alignment hardest part of modding is getting it all straight/level/finish perfect.

ZeroOhm, darling .. please tell me that you don't wear Keratin hair extensions  :p

So you are saying that Eachely used silcon glue sealant and NOT hot glue? I need clarification as I had already began to refer to them as Shenzhen Hotglue in my mind  Ugh, why do you have to live so far away? I would be so happy to send stuff to you for modding. Great job dear, and thanks for all of the various pics you have posted on the forums, such useful information for many of us. :)

Hes talking about adhering the wood to the steel (sealant). The hot glue is used for the chip and the usb port.

Thanks for the pictures btw. I didnt feel like getting the soldering iron out to remove the negative connection to the chassis. I do want to reshape the body reposition the usb board. I may or may not need to remove a mm if wood where the 510 is seated so it is perfectly flush.

I apologise for whatever I did, which was completely unintentional, all I did was ask a question.

Thank you for your response. I will certainly make sure that I do nothing like that.
I sincerely hope that we will all enjoy our units when they arrive.

Haha no hair extensions for me! :) yes as KurrptSenate said fire switch, board and USB are hot glued and gasket seal around the edge of the phenolic to seal it with the steel frame/chassis.

Glad the pictures are of some help to vapers. I would like to mod more but I just don't get the time these days I only have a few hours a week, you are only -5hrs difference from here haha

I actually don't know any vapers in the UK my good friend who is in Australia now is the only one!

No worries glad its of some help, yes the GND soldering to the steel chassis can be tricky heat dissipation is a big issue unless you have lots power. The 350 USB/data board was the trickiest part as its larger than the 300 USB board.

The 510 cut out in this one is fine but as you said there needs to be sufficient clearance for the 510. The phenolic material is new to me and tends to just melt with a dremel.

No no honey, I didn't mean that you did anything wrong, you did not. I was just giving you the heads up to ignore a certain post above ^that had also quoted your question. You are A-Ok dear :)

I suspect that all will continue to be fine with the SX Zero, I know that FC's latest batch shipped late last week. In other news DHL will be delivering my Yosen SX tomorrow so I will report back with initial impressions and some unboxing photos. A little nervous about this one :p

Notice the yellow just under the hand ... there is a small tear ...
View attachment 404872

This acrylic resin must be fragile ;)

I still love the yellow one :hubba:

I looked at the pic but I can't see the tear you are referring to. Frillo darling I predict that you will have plenty of yellow stock to choose from

 I knew that hun, I was only having fun with you. But I figure you must have a girlfriend or a sister who taught you about keratin hair extension :p

And you are not alone dear, I have been vaping for 4 years and I still have never seen a flesh and blood vaper in real life. Not one! So all of my vape people are online too.
