Ok .. here is a sneak preview of what the yet to be completed wood SX Zero will kinda look like. Also just realized that there was much being lost in translation because when I said "body sleeve" Eachely took that to mean "body and sleeve". So they are producing the wood as a complete device, not as a separate sleeve. Now in this pic the device is not finished, there is no inner housing or chip, its just to demonstrate what the wood body will look like.

The same was true about the other sleeves, they intend to reproduce these as complete devices with new sleeves. I did ask and clarify that they should offer the sleeves only, and they finally understood me and said they can sell the sleeve only. Now they just need to come up with brass and copper also and everyone will be happy.

Since the V2 of the DNA Zeros dont seem to be working out, was going to grab the 35w SX Zero, but just saw the 50w SX Zero pop up on FC, in stock and at the US warehouse for $80 so kind of hard to say no.
Anyone have these in hand (or the 35w SX)? I know the cloned Yihi SX300 in it has gotten pretty decent reviews on the tubes but I havent seen much on the 50w from Hotcig.
I will say though, I like this version more than the Yosen, since it has real wood and the polished cover looks better IMO.

Sorry for the question, but what vendor are you referring to that is selling these? "FC"? I am interested in getting one of these.
Thanks in advance for the info

cant wait for the new sleeves. Just picked up my Zero and kanger subtank today. SOOOOOO excited!!!!

Congrats! I am very happy with this set up, they play so well together, no jumping resistances or wacky behavior. Thank you baby Jesus we finally got a Zero clone that most everyone across the board is happy with, and enjoying ... I was really lonely playing with the DNA Zero by myself

I've been using mine for about a week now and have been very happy with the chip performance. Seems comparable with my Sigelei 50 watt, although battery life seems a bit longer with the Sigelei. But the SX form factor is MUCH better than the Sigelei!

Only 2 little niggles, as far as build quality/QC:

1. The LCD screen seems a bit more recessed on one side than the other, so that it's not parallel to the protective glass.
2. The USB port is off center from the hole in the body, sits slightly to the left, but still usable. I've been switching out batteries mostly, though, because I just don't want to wait for it to charge to use it.

But overall happy with this purchase, and really looking forward to new sleeves! +1 for copper or brass, please!:)

You know, I noticed that on mine too, but I wasn't sure that is was not an optical illusion. Being that I am staring at a computer all day every day, I thought it might have just been my eyes. But glad you are happy with yours too :) I also prefer to swap out batteries, have only used the usb port once to recharge just to make sure it worked :D My usb port is in straight.

WE NEED SLEEVES ... that is when this party will really get started, and I am officially calling for the "Do-Over" with the SX Zero.

I thought at first it was just my eyes at first, also. When I look at the screen dead-on, it just feels a little off, but it's noticeable if you look at the screen from an angle, for me if I look at it from the top or bottom, as it seems that the left side of my screen is recessed more than the right.

But yeah, not a big deal, I've been using it almost exclusively for the past week and have been really enjoying it. So glad that the chip holds up!:toast:

Yeah, the chip has been really good for me, no functional issues at all ... cheers to a decent Zero clone :toast:
