vape mail just arrived with a shiny new Zero SX
Letting it thaw out a bit since it's been sitting in my mailbox for a few hours in our winter tundra weather but found a nice bonus while unboxing, an efest 35A 18650 sitting inside the modDon't think that was supposed to be in there so either they were QC testing before shipping and forgot to take it out OR I got some guys used mod, LOL.
Subtank arrived yesterday so I threw on the 22mm reducer so it could sit flush on my DNA30 box and now the damn reducer won't come off the base of the Subtank
Well how is that for a happy accident? And yeah, that totally was not supposed to be in there

Already cancelled my FT order, waiting on refund and ordering from focal..... I'm tired of waiting on FT. Pretty much done with them.

Probably your best bet. Just keep a close eye on focal, they are gonna go up any time now.
I have to ask if the sleeve will be removable, I have assumed that it will not be .. I don't have any unsightly gaps on my SX Zero. Here is min when I first received it .. and hands down it is the better choice over the Yosen, and that is coming from someone who got three good ones from Yosen. Overall fit and finish is better than Yosen/SXK ..
Looks good to me. I was hoping to get the 35 watt version for slightly lower price, but I don't think that's going to happen anymore. Do you have any idea if there will be a big price difference for the wood ones? That would be amazing if they made stabilized wood versions with different wood options. Can't really see that though with a mass produced product, I can hope though right. Wonder if I should just wait for the wood version.
I can't say for sure, but I don't think it will be much more than the SS version. You are probably right about stabilized wood though, I can't see them mass producing something like that. But even this Red wood option was unexpected.
I actually thought this would be up this morning, but maybe they are waiting for the warehouse guy to unpack them before relisting? Just to make sure they didn't get a box full of magic cubes
I think we'll see them within the next 24 hours though ...

I got to say after the Yosen dna 30 clone I am skeptical of this one. I worry that a wonky off brand gravity board would just be terrible.
Yeah .. this is something that I just noticed today. Was busy when I posted those numbers, so I didn't have time to elaborate. But yes, the display #'s are above what the set wattage is, just glad that its not really firing at that #.

This chip clearly has its quirks, but they are all in appearance, as in they don't affect actual performance. The slightly higher battery level indicator, and voltage display .. somehow these have to be tied together in the chip. There are several of these in hand at this point and so far no one has reported a wacky G sensor .. just wonky display #'s
More details received on the wood version .. this one will be done ala Wapari style. Its not a wood sleeve, and the battery will be installed the same way that you would on the Wapari, authentic SX Zero and SXmini. Eachely said they went this route so that the wood would be perfectly flush with the steel frame. They also said that there will be a sort of key tool for the battery cap. Pics ...

I have both the Yosen Zero and the SX Zero, and without no doubt the chip in the SX Zero is much better than the Yosen, only fault with mine, is the same as all of them with the slightly higher battery level, which doesn't affect performance at all, due to the SX Zero, the Yosen Zero has now been banished to the shelf for looking at only.

This is great! I was worried a wood sleeve might be prone to cracking or breaking easily.
That is prolly the other reason they went this route .. I can see a wood sleeve cracking and chipping with repeated removal. And I also like how perfectly flush the wood is with the frame, so now I am really getting into this wood SX.
It would be nice of them to work out the display quirks though .. not a deal breaker for me since it doesn't affect performance, but this wood version is looking beautiful so it would be nice to de-janktify those quirks

Bah so im gonna have to buy a whole other unit (which I will). They better come out with the darn Copper and brass sleeves then.
