You're talking about replacing the carto, not the tank, of course?

Some say 2 days.... Some are saying up to 3 weeks.... Lets answer with how many refills on a cart tank till it goes out. Mine are lasting me 2 to 3 days and I refill my tanks 3-4 times a day.

I get an average of 12 refills on a tank till I have to replace it!!

Great! I have a Dremel, but this seems way easier. So I'll need to mark the carto like in the video and I assume the edge of the hole should be just meet with the edge of the line? What kind of a nail do you use, and how big of a hole do you punch? Or does it even matter? I should be getting my liquinator tanks this week, so excited!! I haven't been feeling well, and I'm sure this will lift my spirits.

That's how I've been doing mine and it works fine for me. :)

To be honest, I don't know what size the nail is, but just find a sharp one that isn't too big. I just tap it with a hammer a few times until it goes through the cart wall, but not into the filler. It really is a lot easier than you'd think and doesn't take much force at all. There is a vendor that will soon be selling a punch and awl set just for punching cartos and I plan on buying one of those as soon as they are available. If you'd like to know the vendor, PM me. I got jumped on for mentioning another vendor on this thread earlier on, so I won't do that again....pisses me off too much. :)

Hope you feel better soon too!!!!

Oh, but this is relevant to this thread and is not a competing product. Can you post the info for everyone, please?

I'll take the blame... :)

It will be sold at Welcome to Vapor Age - Step out of the smoke..... soon. Not sure when, but soon. But in the meantime, if you want something that works like a charm, try this.

The Bostitch 16-058 Scratch Awl cuts through the carto like butter! I found it at Lowes next to the Punch Tools.

PS. You beat me to it tyleris12.

I own 2 Liguinators and here is an abridged version of my experience with them.

I first got a 3ml tank and some extra pre-cut cartos. Very slidey but no leaks from the tank at all. The carto however went into siphon mode about 30 minutes in. I am very experienced with cartos and realized that the issue could not be the tank itself as the tank was NOT leaking. So I took another carto (also from vaporescence) and 2 hours later it started siphoning. Same result over and over till I had cycled through all of the cartos.

I contacted vaporescence and they replied promptly and asked me to send them the tank and they will take care of the issue. Well...the tank is not the issue but I appreciated their offer. I even ordered aan 8ml BFT from them as they assured me that the new tanks were not slidey at all.

And they are correct. The new tanks fit the carto properly. Problem is that every XL DC carto they sent with the new BFT did the same thing that happened with the cartos they supplied with the 3ml tanks.

They all turned into siphons over various lengths of time. Some instantly and some longer but none lasted more than 3 hours.

Time to fix this....

I also own a competitors tank and had some of their pre-cut cartos on hand. I stuck them in my original 3ml tanks and voila'! problem solved. For the BFT I punched a couple of stainless DC's I had and no leaks there either.

Obviously whoever is cutting their cartos is the one messing up and should be much more careful and consistent in their work.

Conclusion: I would buy this product again...but only if they do NOT include the carto and drip tip and drop the price accordingly.

Just one guys opinion...YMMV! :)

I agree Bo, the precut cartos are hit or miss mainly because if your mass producing the (several hundred at a time) the margin for error is increased... DIY cutting or punching about 15 at a time by the user is a much better route to go. You as the user can customize the opening to your juice characteristics. I prefer the punch method myself do to more control over opening size. In a nut shell... DIY is the best route to take to keep the variables to a minimum. Unfortunately, all cartos are NOT created equil...

Bo, I would like to cut my own cartos, but I am so nervous. What error would cause the siphoning, so I can try and avoid doing that. Thanks.

I vote Punch K! If you cut them, especially it you use DCs then the opening may be too big. Punching on the other hand allows you control over the size and syphion attributes of your carto.

I haven't tried the Fusions yet. How do you like them in your LQ?

Well a forum member kindly sent me a couple to try, an there nice. However, they are sitting at 2.8, and I am a more of a 2.0-2.5 person. They work flawlessly, but on the Provari, they look a little off cause on the adaptor. Other then that...perfect!
