I'm going to show my ignorance here. But by siphoning, do you mean where it seems like the inside of the carto collapses, the center tube closes up, and you have no draw. If not, what does that mean?

I'm trying to figure out how to enjoy my Liquinator. Mine seems to work well enough. That is, there are no leaks, and I get plenty of vapor from it. My problem is a total lack of flavor.

I used a pre-cut Boge that came with the tank for about 4 days and then suffered the internal collapse of the air tube. I used a second pre-cut one for a few days until the lack of flavor (and vaping enjoyment) got the better of me.

I tried to cut my own with a Dremel, and that didn't work so well. I destroyed about 3 new Boges off the bat. (Handy, I am not.) So I tried punching them instead. That worked pretty well and was easier/more fool proof. But I'm back to the no flavor complaint.

Are there any tips to improve it? Will punching a hole near the top help so liquid can get up near the top of the filler too? Or will that cause undesired effects. (Sorry, physics is not my strong suit.)

Greg, if your making the switch from an atty to a carto in using the tanks like I did, it just going to take sometime getting used to... They are not attys and they won't be anytime soon, with all that said, I came from 2+ years dripping and it took a while to get used to, but it was worth the adjustment.

I am primarily a dripper/atty user. But I have been using Boge cartos for a while now. I drip at home but use Boges when I'm at work or out running errands. When using just a carto (no tank), I always top them off whenever the flavor drops. So I guess you could say I'm still a dripper with cartos too. I tend to top them off quite frequently. Not as frequently as when dripping with an atty, of course. But still...

So I guess this is how it's supposed to be with cartos, especially with tanks. hmmmm... guess I need to decide if it's worth it to me. It most definitely will be on long drives. But for everyday use, I'm still on the fence. Thanks!

2-3 weeks? I'm only getting about 5 days and I don't understand why. Are you cleaning them, and if so... how often?

My last 2 Boge cartos (from CCV) I cut myself and they lasted 5 days and the flavor diminished (I use Halo Smooth 8 or Freedom). They also seemed to get a bit gurgly, but could be blown out and the view through the tube was clear (I always give them a visual after a few days). The flavor was still dull so I replaced them with a new one.

I've run hot water through the used 5 day cartos (with the Cartomizerfillinator syringe that Vapian sent me) and then ran some PGA through it (to help displace the water), blew them out and then did a spin in a sock (Taryn spin? which works great to remove liquid) and they've sat for a few days. I haven't tried using them again yet. These 2 are the first that I've cleaned (the other 3 I've used were burned, 2 that came with the tank and one from CCV that I cut and I screwed up by not prefilling it well and hit it with too high of voltage).

I'm hoping I get a bit more use out of the 2 I've cleaned...just getting a full 7 or 10 days use out of each carto even would be nice at this point.

I use my cartos on a Silver Bullet 3.7v using Good Prophets Pineapple ,Cotton Candy 24mg 100% VG or The Vapor Pro's East Menthol 50/50 36mg . I have 3 tanks in rotation on 2 devices (Omega as well) but my main vape is Cotton Candy which a tank lasts me a whole day & I refill in the evening a few hours before bed . Every other refill I check the top of my carto & if it's dry I inject a little juice & blow out the excess , back in business as usual . Oh & I cut my slot a little long but very thin.

No problem! I also have the aid of the Provari... You know the story, you can increase/decrease your voltage to maximize your tastes.

Bo, I would like to cut my own cartos, but I am so nervous. What error would cause the siphoning, so I can try and avoid doing that. Thanks.

I think what they have done is cut too deep. I would strongly recommend just punching a hole in the carto instead of cutting it.

Siphon means that the carto draws liquid through the hole or slice in the side and runs out the connection end of the carto. Like if you use a hose to siphon something from a tank.

As for lack of flavor...I have not experienced that yet. I have another brand of tank that has had the same carto in it for 2 weeks with no siphoning, loss of flavor, or increased draw. Increased draw can probably be attributed to the juice your using. Dark, thick juices tend to be harder on cartos than clear, thin juices.

No tank is going to keep the very top of a carto wet. Just not possible. And not necessary anyway. Wet or dry at the is no biggie.

BTW...I wouldn't use another dual coil in a tank if you paid me. I have done a ton of research this afternoon and the overwhelming consensus is that they are much more likely to siphon/leak than singles.

Yer.. dripping is always going to get you the best flavour, from my experience anyways.. but the flavour I get through the Liquinator still is better than cartos alone, except in cases where it is the perfect juice with the perfect carto. I think on average though, I am getting a better experience overall with the liquinator.. but like everything, they are not for everyone.

I wonder what a small horizontal slot would work ? Wondering if it would give better draw control if properly done , gonna give it a try on my next carto

Mistaree, a really small and thin horizontal slot won't supply enough liquid and a vertical slot will flood. I experimented with 30+ Dual Coil cartoz, tried every combination of single/double, wide/skinny and other varying sizes as well as vertical slots. I can say for sure that multiple horizontal, single vertical or cuts made higher(upwards) than usual do not work well. A single (dime thickness) cut near the bottom or a single (decent sized) hole seem to work best.

Also if you make 2 cuts or holes where one of the cuts are much higher than the other, most times I have found that the carto either floods or creates a vacuum leak when the liquid level goes below the higher hole or slot.

Here is a pic of some of my recent failed experiments.

Ok Here we go ........
It's 11:20 am & shockingly enough the mailman is 3 hrs early , so I'm truly not mad at him . At any rate , I got my AL Liquinator back today ! I sent it back due to it's looseness & the 3 DOA Boges I got with it . I sent it back last Monday , Wednesday afternoon James called me & we spoke for nearly an hour, great guy I might add . Part of the convo was about how they were out of Boges at the moment & could replace them with Dual Coils if I wanted , otherwise I would have to wait until Friday. Of course I didn't want to wait so I got the DC's . Despite the fact I really don't like them . I must say my tank with the silver drip tip I got from CCV looks frigg'in AWESOME ! It is no longer loosey goosey , a matter of fact ,it's hella tight. It now takes a little force to get it to move . My DC's are working for the moment , but I'm in the middle of moving & not able to find my Ressurectors or any of my e cig equipment at the moment . I will take some pics later this evening when I get settled & I also need to do a video review on the Ressurectors as I promised Andrew I would . Let's hope my day goes smoothly with this awesome tank , all day today .

1:40pm :
DC did not last the day as I hoped. Had to stop the presses cuz not a box will be moved until I find my Ressurectors & my Dremel . (lol) With that said , I found my tools , cut my slot & I gotta tell ya , these "Ressurectors" from CCV are really pretty good in this tank . I drilled a little hole with the Dremel & PRESTO ! Vapor Heaven with Cotton Candy . I don't think the dual coils are made for tank life , but the Ressurectors & the Boge 2.0's work best for me . Now I'm back to moving these crappy boxes & yelling out orders to my kids . Are all teenagers lazy ? I don't recollect myself being so lazy & slow in my teen age years.

For some reason its really hard for me to get the cap back on the liquinator after I refill it. It seems that one side of the O ring sticks out a little bit when I try to press the cap back down and it's a daily struggle. Has anyone else had the same issue and have a better method for getting the top cap back on?

Do you lube the tube with PG/VG? Also, do you turn it as you are trying to push it in?

I haven't tried the Fusions yet. How do you like them in your LQ?

I haven't tried the punch yet so I do the cut/single slot cut with my Dremmel on my Fusions and I get the best draw and flavor I think with these on my Darwin.
I have messed up a couple of the DC with too high of a cut, and haven't revisited them yet but will have to give them a try again. I cut my Boges with the Dremmel also and I haven't had a problem yet with the 1 slot cut.

Well a forum member kindly sent me a couple to try, an there nice. However, they are sitting at 2.8, and I am a more of a 2.0-2.5 person. They work flawlessly, but on the Provari, they look a little off cause on the adaptor. Other then that...perfect!

Thanks for the feedback. Do you know of a stealth 510-801 adapter that works with Fusions?
