It was in that Provari thread the Artist dude hijacked yesterday trying to pitch the SuperMax.

Geez, one man to ruin it all huh. Way over zealously trying to promote a mod and now one guy has ticked everyone off over the whole thing. I'm hoping when it actually is in the hands of users we can see things change.

nothing I need but great to see advancement, hope the room can become more about the pv and less about who said what

That's exactly why I have to have this one. For once someone is actually doing something new. There are a lot of styles but the VW boards are all very similar. You get 3.0-6.0 volts, 5 amp limit, 3-15 watts in half watt increments and so on and so on. Sure there were small upgrades like faster hertz PWM frequency, the dna 20 / 30and the Nivel which raised the bar but not something completely new like the supermax. I am really hoping it performs exactly as planned. Then maybe the "big" manufacturers in the game will have to step up to keep the high power vapors buying their devices. No more paying $120 for something pretty that only has a 5 amp limit.

I wonder how loud the audible signals are going to be, the only con for me and 1 button navigation

The video earlier showed the beta in action with audible sound but also you could turn that off. I definitely don't want sound at work or anything but I guess it could be handy at home.

Like you though I'm more wondering about the single button controls. I'm wondering how much of a learning curve there is and how readily available all the "hidden" tricks to the device will be. With only 42 in the first batch there needs to be a very informative manual because it's not going to be like the mass produced chinese products where everyone will have one and be putting up review videos showing all the features.

If it's anything like the crown it'll be pretty simple.

click 4 short times and hold to lock/unlock the ability to change increments...
When locked...you can't accidentally change the watts/volts and it doesn't make sounds (unless the battery gets low and you get the funeral dirge). Other stuff will still work silently (like vaping of course, and changing between VV, VW mode, getting the settings, or resistance to play, etc.)

When unlocked: short click once then hold to raise setting one increment. short click twice then hold to lower setting one increment.

3 short clicks then hold plays short and long tones at various pitches to let you know the setting. I.E. 4 long tones then 3 short tones would be 4.5.

5 short clicks then hold would play the resistance in long/short beeps.

6 short clicks then hold changes mode between VV and VW...it plays tunes to let you know which mode it's in.

It's not that difficult really...most use will rarely see a need to go past 3 or 4 clicks.

Personally, I am pretty jazzed about the SuperMax. Hopefully the batteries will be received soon si they can complete the assembly. I am glad they went with a one button interface. On the Futura DNA30, I just maxed it out then engaged the power lock so that I don't inadvertently lower my watts. Can't wait to max out the potential of all my rba's, will see if the Aqua can handle 96 watts, already have a .3 ohm build installed, so will see in a few weeks.

Audible tones only. Huh. That kind of sucks for those of us with severe hearing loss. It will be a great mod for the blind though.

Think it has a couple of LED digits on it too.

Who knows what they'll do with the 'board' part in the future?
The Facebook stuff says they'll stop making this model once a certain number of units are done...so I like to interpret that as meaning (if the insides do well...they might do a more polished outside...or outsource the boards for other mod makers? Who knows really...........time will tell I guess.

I find it cool, but don't need that kind of power, so I'll pass on this one. I do like the Crown 2.0 though (it'd be nice if it were a little more powerful, but the click/click audio is nice for mods that getting to a Kick pot is a PITA).
