I really want to receive my Supermax tracking has it in Chicago since Tuesday & it's still there. Must be stuck in customs. Very frustrating.

At least I know it has been built, tested & shipped. Everything else I have ordered internationally has eventually arrived. So it's now just a waiting game. You think I'd be better at waiting since I'm getting so much practice at it!

K, so far on the click adjust menu that I have fingered out. On the end of the click sequence you hold the button down till the desired feature happens.

Adjust up: = 2 clicks and hold. Voltage/wattage will adjust up till released.
Adjust down: = 3 clicks and hold. setting will decrease till released.
Switch to Volts/Watts: = 7 clicks and hold till switch occurs. Sometimes it won't comply right away though.

4 clicks gives me a -6, 5 clicks I get a .3 then 30, 6 clicks gives a U or L, know I got an ohms reading once, but can't get it again. Least it's vaping. lol.

The main thing about max, it seems to be very dependent on the build. Since it's max volts is 6 volts, a 1.4 ohm build will only get to 26 watts. a 2 ohm build 18 watts, so to get the max out of Max, one will need to go down to 0.5 ohms or so.

When in watts setting, if you have it set higher than what 6 volts can provide, it will automatically step down to it's max out put. Threw on a 1.4 oh build, was set for 50 watts, and stepped down to 24 watts.

Compared to the dna, well the dna seems to be a bit more flexible, since it can boost to 8.3 volts to get you your 30 watts, where as the Max can go much higher watts, but can only put out 6 volts, but at higher amps.

Hopefully will get a full instruction manual out soon, got Max to sing some tunes, but the volume is pretty low for my worn down hearing. lol

4 clicks is the battery life. Goes from - H on a full charge then 9 down to 1. 5 clicks is the ohms of your build. 6 clicks is lock and unlock. When locked you can't access anything from the menu to change settings. You can still check your battery life and ohms though.

Mine's doing almost the exact same thing and I'm pretty sure it isn't right. This thing has a 16 amp limit. It shouldn't be backing down the wattage that much. I've emailed MoC to see what's up.

It works great in vv mode btw and has awesome battery life.

Well, I am not a happy camper.

I did receive the device today. And that is all I received. The device in a cloth bag wrapped in bubble wrap. No charge cable AND NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you kidding me. Pay this kind of money on hype. Here you go, good luck. This is NOT an intuitive device. This is not a plug and play.

Accidentally I can get it to fire. Clicking and hold sometime works sometimes just fires device.

Now there is a dash in the middle of the right side and that is it. It will fire but it is REAL high or hot or whatever you want to call it.

I will go to their web site, but do not expect much. They just do not seem very keen or good at responding unless you are all gushy and singing their praises.

I have been vapping for over 5 years. I know my way around vape gear. This is the worst roll out of a product I have ever experienced. Shocking. They couldn't have planned to be this bad. Sad.

thanks for the link Bluto.

SheerLuck, well that was a mature response, for sure, well said. Since when did things come with manuals in vape gear?? Often not more than so. Heck, even with the dna30 there was no written instuctions, had to go to the pdf file and learn how. Provari, no instructions, cept online at provape. Russina, Rose, Aqua, Taifun, all, yep, no instructions. What's the world coming too, and thought men didn't need no instructions. lmao.

So far pretty happy with Max. Would have been nice if the center pin was adjustable, fortunately most of my rba's have adjustable center pins. It doesn't quite live up to specs though, least from what I can tell. VW only goes up to 50 watts, VV 0nly 5.5 volts. have had it up to 46 watts with a 0.53 ohm build, but was better at 36 watts, need to re-build me thinks. But pretty damn fine at 40 though.

It wouldn't fire my Aqua with it's 0.21 ohm build, though that could be that Max reads it at under 0.2 ohms and won't fire, oh well, guess I'll fire the Aqua on the Stingray instead, my bad. Was aiming for 0.3 ohms, so my bad, lol.

All in all, it's a solidly built box, feels good in the hand, clean easy firing button, quick on the recharge, vapes pretty damn fine. Just on day two of Vaping with Max, so still learning his ways. But a very welcome addition to my collection. May not do 70 yet, but still puts out more than my dna30's. Just saying. lol. Damn, does give a good solid consistent vape. I'm happy, but there is some let down since it's not putting out quite the specs that were advertised.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

I've been following this thread loosely for 3 1/2 months now. And it's usually the same story. A couple of folks (friends, BF-GF, husband/wife, etc.) have a great idea for a possibly game-changing type device. They have a prototype build on the dining room table. Now, they need money to produce the products. Work the forums, social media, create a "buzz", then prematurely take pre-order money on a device that exists basically as a one or two off product. Without a production game plan. Become overwhelmed with pre-orders. Then, the issues start with programing errors, supply problems on parts, cost run-ups, lack of production capability, etc. Less then ready for prime time products get shipped as the natives are getting restless waiting for the device. Although the first round products work most of the time, bugs have reduced the one fantastic specs and capabilities. The once great promises are now compromised.
I hope all you guys well, I know some are very pleased with the first round product despite the reduced specs and compromises, but you really all are beta testers at this point. When the product is a finished device, I'll be first in line for mine.

dice57.... Mature response???? Mature response!?!?!?!?!? I'm sitting here waiting four months and two weeks. Get a device that is complicated from the programing and application of clicking this one button. And I am frustrated. How do I use it when the only thing the display... displays is a dash in the middle of the right side of the window?

My Provari, my multiple DNA's, my Russians, my Rose, my Taifun-GT had no written instructions BUT they all had multiple YouTube videos that showed what to do the the last detail.

The SuperMax? Jenee Fowler sitting with it in her hand and showing it. THAT IS IT!!!! So don't give me no instruction crap. Nothing on the Artisan Web site. Nothing on their FaceBook. This ECF Thread has been the best source of information anywhere!!!!

And thank you one and all for that. You are doing more than you know and WAY more than Artisan.

OK, dice57, you want mature????? Please tell me how to use this device I waited for for four months and two weeks and the only display I can work with is a single dash in the middle of the right hand side of the window after five minutes of taking it out of the box. I'm waiting!!!!!!!!!!!! Then tell me about mature!!!

Apologies, saw Bluto before I saw dice57 and the mature comment ...... me off over and above the frustration I'm experiencing with the SuperMax. I have edited the rant.

But that still does not negate my feelings of frustration with this paperweight.

Again, I apologize, you did indeed post a very helpful .pdf. And if the display showed anything other than this dash mark I sure that would have helped me a great deal. But the .pdf does not give a trouble shooting guide to explain this dash mark or what to do about it. So, I'm still frustrated

Try a different atomizer. One of my Kayfuns shows dashes and the other one works fine. Not sure what the deal is, but I'm getting another unit anyway. There do seem to be a few bugs with a few of these. Basil's and Russ' are both working fine with no issues. A few other people have had some annoyances. Mine is performing great in vv mode with this one Kayfun. It's similar to my OKR devices with a higher amp limit and bigger battery, so actually I could keep it and use it the way that it is and be pretty happy. I just want all of the bells and whistles to work properly if possible.

Yea if getting the -- reading, means not registering atomizer. Either isn't connecting or ohm's to low. Same as the check message on the DNA. It does seem to have a deep 510 connection and some attys won't reach.

Well, you are correct that yeah, not much on it on the net, but did learn a lot about super max detention, while looking for info. So yeah, was a bit frustrating. And the one vid you mentioned actually had enough info to help me figure it out. The part where she clicked 4 time then held the button down. That at least made it so I could switch it between VV & VW, and adjust the settings.

But yeah, your comments made me  Sorry it waxed your bar pole, but hey, just finished planting my mother in the ground, so when I saw you whining about not being able to figure out how to make Max work, well, yeah, found it funny as crap. comment stands. lmao.
