Yes, we will infact be automatically switching them to RCR's :)

No problem Frankly ... I know there are some hardcore esmokers wanting the 6v+ pumping through :)

Well, after some thought, I think I'm sticking with the original configuration (I'd like to use a cart, and I think 3.7 is a sweet spot for that).

I sent info@puresmoker.com an e-mail, and I got a ticket number (the website says invalid ticket number, but hopefully you still got it).

I look forward to the product... I'm so anxious, hehe.

Sorry if I'm completely wrong here: my understanding of all of this is considerably less than limited! However, am I correct that the intention of having a higher voltage is to increase he hit/vapour? I assume that the additional voltage increases the temperature?

If the above is correct, have you considered the effect of heating VG to higher temperatures and the possible production of acrolein?

I know that this was a worry on the forum for a while, but that ecopure was tested to see if any was produced through vaping, and that worry was more or less put to rest as a result of that test. However, presumably, it was tested at 'normal' atty temperatures and not the temperatures being produced by higher voltage devices.

Is this something you have considered / tested for?

Just my opinion,,
I would use pg only and wouldnt use vg at 5 or 6 volts,,

I'm using a cartridge in the Penstyle right now at 5v :) Possibly, another positive to dropping voltage from 6+ to 5v ... :) .... You won't be happy using an 801 at 3.7v, telling you from experience. I would rather see you happy than be less than satisfied ...

Oh! One more quick question, will those of us who request the old configuration receive the universal charger? I forgot to mention this in my request to info@puresmoker. Thanks!

Yes, you can also request the universal charger if you infact want to change your mind and stay with the original config.

wierd all of a sudden i have the urge to smoke with a cartridge ....

LOL ... as did I ... Just grabbed one!

Hmmm. I'll take your recommendation then! Looks like I'll have to rescind the e-mails I sent to info@puresmoker. Hopefully, I didn't bother them too much!

Thanks for being so helpful!

Thanks Steve,,
I think your going to get alot of new questions with the changes..
but the changes sound good..

i don't mind ... I'm finally at peace with 5volts ... I have wanted it from the get go, and originally it was likely going to be a V2 upgrade, however, I just wasn't happy with 3.7v performance, thus, we were only left with 6v+ ... Now, I am content, knowing the the PS USBpass and Prodigy use the same amount of power with no issues with atomizers across the board :)

Haha ... No problem Walks ... You will really love 5volts with the 801 ... I once was a die hard 901 fan, but now use nothing but an 801 :)

Ok, Steve, I'm a little confused now. Maybe you can un-confuse me. I ordered the 901 Prodigy because I use the Screwdriver currently and have six 1000mAh RCR 123 batteries. I also ordered the 801 adapter. My thought was that I would use the 18650 battery with the 901 atomizer and use two of the 1000 mAh RCR 123's when I wanted to use an 801 atomizer and not have to top off as much. Now that the 18650 battery is not an option, I have a couple of questions from what I have read of this thread:

1. Using two RCR123's with the 901 is not advised from what you have said so does that mean I can't use the batteries I already have but only the RCR123's that you are going to now provide instead of the 18650?

2. Can I still use 2 of the RCR123's that I currently have with the adapter I ordered when I want to switch to an 801 atomizer?

3. If I want to use one of the 1000mAh RCR123's that I already have, do I need to get a "spacer" instead of using two of them which sounds like it will be too powerful in that configuration with the 901 atomizer?

How is the 901@5v. compared to the 801? I had ordered the 901 adapter and a few 901 attys along with the 801 Prodigy. I was really looking forward to the 901 with a "forever" battery.

901 @ 5v is great. Allow for longer than (1-2 second draws like at 6v+) and doesn't burn through liquid as quickly. If you were looking forward to 3.7v on the 901, we can still take care of your needs. Just shoot Casey and email and she'll take care of ya!

My goal is to confuse ;) HAHA.

A: You just made my brain hurt with this question .... RCR123's with the NEW design mod of a resistor is perfectly fine. Thats all I suggest. You should be able use the batteries you already have :)

2. Can I still use 2 of the RCR123's that I currently have with the adapter I ordered when I want to switch to an 801 atomizer?
A: Yes

3. If I want to use one of the 1000mAh RCR123's that I already have, do I need to get a "spacer" instead of using two of them which sounds like it will be too powerful in that configuration with the 901 atomizer?
A: Yes, Although, we have never tested the unit with a spacer so we are not entirely sure how it will work. But assuming is just moves current, you should have zero issues!!!

See Red :)

The reasoning behind dropping the voltage was 2 fold:

1. All the produced mods to date (SD/GG/etc...) either try to equal the output of a current ecig (with longer battery life) or try to go way above and beyond (6v+) There is not mod produced that tried to reach that *Sweet Spot* so that is essentially what we are trying to accomplish.

2. User Friendlieness/Juice Usage/Etc....

Sorry to be a pest Cash, but did you miss my post below? Is it something you have looked into?

To be honest, I never have sold, and never plan on selling anything VG related. I don't have the equipment necessary to test such things. People deciding to use ejuice from any manufacturer (both PG or VG) due so at their own risk! PureSmoker and I can't be held responsible for what people put in their atomizers :) If sold by me, that's one thing ... :) If we ever decide to enter the VG realm, we will definitely perform the necessary reseach before releasing such a product.

What I can do to help further the discussion is try and test the different temperatures from atleast what we can see. Then talk to someone knowledgeable on the subject and go from there :)
