I would Also throw out that if Someone is considering doing Long Term Storage of Nicotine Base (which I think People Should), that they should store the Nicotine Base in Glass Bottle and Poly-Caps.

Absolutely. And should read all the threads on storing nicotine. Glass bottles with poly-caps is a must and also using a size that makes sense. I have all mine broken down in bottles that will be out of the freezer for 2-3 months tops before being used up.

Same here -- vaping something between 7mg and 10mg, I don't use a great deal of nicotine, so I don't buy liters; I buy 120ml at a time of 100mg, and store it -- in the freezer -- in 30ml glass bottles. I have 2 30ml glass bottles in my fridge, one 100%PG and one 80/20, and those are the bottles I use out of -- they've both been in the fridge about 4-6 wks, but I'm fairly sure that storing them in brown glass bottles in the fridge means I can use them up before there is any degradation -- which is why I store my 100mg nic in such small bottles.

And this thread has got me so worried all over again about the FDstupidA, I just ordered another 120ml. Now I gotta get some more glass 30ml bottles before I can order anymore. :p

If you are buying DIY stuff, make sure you DO practice and not just put it back for "just in case." You might get lucky and make an awesome juice day one, but that's not always the case. I have a lot of meh liquids that I have made and some that are just.not.good. I read and read in the DIY forum before placing my first order. I collected a number of recipes that sounded good and bought flavorings accordingly, so I could try a lot out. I'm way too picky about juices, so it has been a long road for me to make good stuff.

Oh yea... definitely agree. When I first started DIY, I made one decent juice in like a month. It was a "dutch apple pie" flavor. Not an all day vape though. After too many failed tries to make one I consistently enjoyed, I tried unflavored, and I liked it. Vaped that ever since. Maybe that will be the case for some people, but most people enjoy their flavors too much.

I finally made a version of Virginia that is almost as good as what I get from MyFreedomSmokes -- which has been my #1 ADV since I started. I'm still working on it, but it's really coming along.

Now I gotta figure out how to create something like this Blueberry Muffin/Banana Nut Bread that's so delicious, just in case Hard Rock Vapor and High Desert Vapes go kaput at some point, or if they don't sell these yummy ejuices anymore. Got quite a few blueberry flavors on my wishlist at Wizlabs, along with TFA's banana nut bread, and Capella's cake batter and their vanilla cupcuke flavors. Guess I gotta try 'em all and see which ones might combine the best.

To those that are not DIY'ing and just stashing DIY supplies away as a just in case, I ask, where will you get your info from if a worst case scenario comes down. Sites like this are probably here because of advertising dollars to pay for servers etc. If the vendors start going belly up from new regs, the money will stop, will the wealth of info available today be still up on the web?
I began acquiring some nic and flavorings back in March, and thought, well, now I've got this stuff, why not start using it? My first few attempts were not very promising, so I researched flavors that were getting lots of positive comments, ( large threads) in the DIY sub-forum. I will never look back, I haven't bought vendor juice since May, and most of my "rainy day, this one just didn't cut it" juice that was being saved, has gone down the sink drain.

In my mind, right now is the golden age of vaping, especially in regards to DIY.

I agree, ENAUD. I use the eJuice Me Up calculator. I have saved all of the recipes I have tried into it. I put some I want to try in, but at the very least, I write them down.

I also keep notes in my DIY journal of what I've made, what worked and what I didn't like about ones that were not so hot. In my journal, I also write down notes on the coils I build, etc. I have a bad memory, so keeping notes is very important to me.

On my computer, I have saved charts and spreadsheets of any information I find online that I may need later. (about coils, batteries, etc) I've also copied and pasted recipes there. I've downloaded videos that I found helpful.

If everything suddenly disappeared tomorrow, I would not be helpless. (yeah, I'm a prepper, so I tend to overdo things- lol)

I do likewise, more on paper for me. I keep two notebooks for my DIY, one, stuff that works for me, the other, experiments. Another notepad is dedicated for things to research, web addresses etc. I don't trust that my computer will always be there, they do break ( I know this from experience ;)).

To be fair to those people, Google caches web pages for months, but yea, not the best format...

Very soon we may be very limited to our options pertaining to e-juice. We will be left with DIY as our only option.

Most everybody I know on here DIYs, I know very few people who buy juice. I remember being surprised, swapping DIY with a few friends at how good (and easy to make) my favorite (and now all day vapes) juices could be.

Some of my favorites are ONE FLAVOR juices, to boot!

Yeah it seems to be totally a matter of finding the right flavor brand; once I got some decent flavors, I discovered how easy it could be, to make decent ejuice. I'm still in the very beginning stages of DIY, so I was really surprised when the last mix I did for "Virginia" turned out so well; it needs a bit more work, but it's well on the way to taking MFS' Virginia's place! :thumb:

Please, stop this nonsense. Cigarettes do not destroy taste buds. I smoked, I know.

Neither my sense of smell or taste have fully come back since I switched 2 1/2 years ago. I can not of course be sure all of it is due to smoking, but it would not surprise me in the least if it were.

I would think the opposite. Megaboards with high server loads may go away but many little ones will pop up everywhere. DIY would grow as a subculture pretty quick. Small boards would be prolific and several would rise to the top and easily get enough revenue to support the cost. There would be all kinds of new code born on how/where to get black market nic too....lol

Totally agree that we are in the "golden age". These days will be hard to forget even if a middle of the road outcome happens with regs.

actually you'll damage your tastebuds more with hot liquid.

tastebuds regenerate every 10 to 20 days, you're right, when smoking the taste buds get flatter and taste is affected. But they quickly regenerate after quitting smoking. Any residual could be to the sense of smell, which goes hand in hand with taste. and can take many years after quitting smoking for that to be restored if at only partially, it does cause olfactory nerve damage. Scalding Coffee (Mickey D's will do more long term damage than smoking)

I like the way you think, where there is a will, there is a way!

I have a 2yr old and will be having another in march, I do not want bottles of nicotine in my house, nor would my wife aprove of it.

So I guess my only option would be 0 nic or quit vaping, I currently vape 3mg, tried to go to 0 but I got cranky and easily irritated.

Actually there is another option: keep the poisonous stuff away from the kids! I mean, I'm sure you're not going to throw out every last poisonous substance in the house -- how on earth would you clean the toilet?

I always found supervising my son to be the best deterrent to him getting into things he shouldn't.
