I just went to the buyhangsen.com site. These is a banner on the site stating, "close out sale". What gives? Are they going out of business? Close out usually means that the organization is closing its doors. Am I misunderstanding? (wouldn't be the first time LOL). One other question. I've been vaping Hangsen Desert Ship and Turkish Blended for about two years. They are really my daily vapes. I am interested in recommendations of other tobaccos. I do like the subtle sweetness of these two.

I just picked up some Highway and really like it.

If you want to take advantage of their sale, be sure and check out their shipping charges first. I think they've dropped the free shipping when your order reaches a certain amount but I could be wrong about that, but like I say, just check it out.

Yes, they said they are going out of business, so once something is out of stock, that is it. The prices they have now are 50% off what they used to charge.

I have, but didn't like fresh (sorry...). Now has two months steep; I'll retaste later and post. All your other choices look solid.

Right on. Im really new to DIY. My first go was some flue cured and black honey tobacco from TFA. the flue cured is kinda not even like a tobacco. the bht is awful. like licorrice. and i hate licorice

I may be wrong on this but I find TFA tobacco flavors more addressed to experimental DIY'ers. They are good, they are strong, and they also take a lot of work and steeping (maybe their RY4's are the exception). However, with Hangsen their chemists have already done the hard work and they are ready to vape right after mixing them (although they improve a lot with steeping). The above is IMHO: TFA for playing the mad scientist...Hangsen, plug and play.

I ordered a bunch of flavors from buyhangsen, all tobacco's, some flavors I've tried some I have not. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. They all taste pretty much the same to me.

Have you tried Elder Captain? It is a nice pleasant flavor with none of the characteristic taste you are referring to.

I haven't tried any hangsen flavors yet. Still waiting on my first order to come in. Supposed to be tomorrow and im so pumped!

Danny! If youre out there I just got my AP in from TFA. I want to try to add it to a mix that I already have made. How much should I use?

Oh man!!! Wow! I had just about full 15ml mix that I had made. It is all TFA but since I have been sharing here lately I thought I would give a shout out to Danny on his recommendation to pick up some Acetyl Pyrazine to add a nuttiness to my flavors. This one is 65% PG 35% VG Base, 9mg Nic, 4% Flue Cured, 6% Caramel, 6% Butterscotch, 4% Sweet Cream, and 1% AP. it said .15 ml of AP but I used .2 and oh my goodness. All I did was shake it up a bit and got an amazing nutty goodness in my vape. More experimenting awaits me tomorrow when I get my first order from Hangsen. Cant Wait!

If it's new to you start with point five percent and work up until it's right for you. You can add, shake and vape. There's really no steeping nessessary for AP. If you do add slightly to much it will mellow slightly over time.

I got all the way up to 1.5 on one of my mixes and up to 2% on the other. The other is a straight BHT mix that tasted like horrible black licorice. Adding the AP certainly made it a lot better. I may have to add a bit more though.

Hey Danny, I am getting my Hangsen delivered today. I will have the following in stock for flavors when it arrives:

Hangsen:
Desert Ship
No. 5
Golden Tree
Deluxe
Juicy Peach

TFA:

Flue Cured
BHT
Caramel
Butterscotch
Sweet Cream
AP

Any Recommendations you can throw out there as to where I can look for a recipe of yours using the flavors I have? If you have any tips to throw out there I would apreciate it. Want to get started off with Hangsen on the super right foot. I cant wait to check my mail today and start mixing some awesome tobaccos. Definitely going to try to come up with a nice peach one

oh hey one more thing. What is the pg vg ratio that you like to go with Danny? Are Hangsen flavors pg or vg based? I think the TFA flavors I have are 100% pg. so in my calulator i mark them as 100% pg

So first run of Hangsen flavors. Mixed up Desert Ship at 5% with AP at 1.5%. Tasty even without steeping. Mixed up some Golden tree at 5% with some juicy peach at 4%, we'll see how that turns out. Havent tried it yet. I might need to up the ap on the desert ship. but wow. what an improvement over TFA tobaccos. just wow

If it's the TFA BHT you refer to as tasting bad it's likely because that needs to steep no less then 5 weeks or it will taste chemical and artificial. After 5 weeks it turns into something good. As far as recipes I really don't post recipes for the simple fact that what taste good to me may not be right for you. It's important that you find your own nitch in this DYI world. Like you did with AP. As you can see you found your own way with the amount of AP that is good for you but others may find that amount way to strong for there taste so as you can see tastes vary greatly and that is why I don't like giving recipes. I'm always happy to try to help with what ever any ones working on though.

Being that your taste do seem similure to mine what I will tell you is if you like nutty vapes then the first thing you should mix when you get your Hangsen flavors is No.5 at 7% with 1% AP, As No.5 is already a nutty vape start with no more then 1% even if your sense's say to use more. let it steep 2 weeks or 2hours speed steep then adjust if nessessary after steeping. It's my longest used ADV. With that same mix you can also add 1 - 2% hangsen or TFA caramel to it to give it an RY4 vibe. If your taste is like mine I don't go for the overly sweet vapes so go easy on the caramel (1- 2% works for me). Another interesting variation on the mix is, along with the caramel add 3% TFA chocolate or hangsen chocolate cream (Only available at ECX) and it will knock your socks off. My current ADV is No.5, AP and Hangsen chocolate cream. Hangsen tobaccos run pretty consistant at 5 - 7%. So there you go I just gave you 3 - 4 good recipes all in one rambling discussion. You can substitute any of the hangsen tobaccos as your base flavor and have an endless amount of combinations that will keep you vaping for years. Use your imagination and get to work:)

I don't know if you've read my blogs but if not here is some helpful reading

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine baces regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.
