And I believe they all contain Acetyl Pyrazine - except for a few.

Could be, and the flavors he got all have it in them. Since its new to his buds maybe that's all he is detecting as the stand out flavor.. After a little time with them I think he will start tasting the other stuff.

Cloves!!! That's it! I don't like cloves. How is that "Smooth, strong and well rounded with a good honest tobacco taste?" That's straight from Hangsens site.
Unfortunately there's no date on anything. I tried a wide range of flavors. There's no discernible difference between them that I could tell. I bought a LOT of flavors. It would be a good deal, if the juices tasted like they should. Hangsen is what I vape almost exclusively.

Thanks JeremyR

Black label is djarum. Clove cigarette. How is it I was going to order a sample..

Many flavors share a common base tobacco. I believe there are 3 different naturally extracted tobacco bases that they use..

Its the nuances and different mixtures that make them different. Sometime your buds only pic up the main base for a bit with a new flavor. Then later you notice the difference. Give each a little time.

You may have happened to order a bunch that are similar. Some of them are lighter flavors for lite/ ultra light smokers.

What flavors do you have?

Do they have dates on them??

Vinny, since you said they are 0mg liquids I assume you bought them from buyhangsen. This is only my opinion, but I would not buy 0 mg ready to vape liquid to learn if I would like that very flavor. Others will disagree, I just would not (at least on tobacco flavors).

If you buy, for instance, Red USA Mix, Highway and Deluxe (concentrated flavors), you will get IMHO 3 totally different flavor profiles, which are very nice as standalone. Perfectly vapeable after "steeping' them for a few hours im the crockpot or thermos, but they really shine after 2 weeks of real time ageing.

Oh, and never ever :D guide yourself by the "descriptions". Not only Hangsen's one. My favorite kind of description is this, used by Perfumers Apprentice: "Some may like it, some may not"

Hey Vinny, man that sucks. But seriously I can tell the difference in every flavor, but some of them do have some similar background tastes in them . i would also add nic base for a true flavor.. Give them another try you may start to taste.. But you mentioned some are flavors you've tried before.. Still if its been a while you may need to adjust to the hs.

The other side is the buyhangsen stuff being old.. I've read a few reports of this complaint...

Descriptions from hs are hit and miss.. We have a decoder for the names(search master list) reviews/ discriptions are tough though.. You have to look at multiple sources to see if its an accurate discription. I scour the web for reviews

I ordered a bunch of flavors from buyhangsen, all tobacco's, some flavors I've tried some I have not. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. They all taste pretty much the same to me. I don't know if it's because they're all 0mg but they sure don't taste like the 6mg juices I've had in the past.
And then I tried the Black Label. Good lord, what flavor is this supposed to be? It's certainly not "Smooth, strong and well rounded with a good honest tobacco taste."
Did I get a bad bottle?

There's a world of difference between a 0mg and a 6mg mix as far as taste. This is expecially true as far as tobaccos go. If you have some NIC try bringing the 0mg sample to 6mg and try it again. I think you will see what I'm talking about.

Honestly the decriptions of the tobaccos on the buyhangsen site are so far off it's rediculous. It's true what your tasting is clove. Are you a recent ex-smoker? this could be why everything taste the same. It was my biggest issue when I first quit. When you say you are vaping Hangsen exclusively are you mixing your own and if so how are you mixing these?

Hey guys was having a discussion about turbo smog. I tries it my first month of vaping thought it was nasty... Anyway I still have the 5 ml sample from liberty flights.. It is over two years old.. Just vaped it, slightly over Arabic in the dripper... Its not bad.

A licorice, redbull, slight vanilla and spice flavor is what im picking up... Its a strong flavor will hang around, probably not an adv for me though. The mix is black slighly reddish. Same color as it arrived.. Will vape this bottle later and see how it goes..

I agree Art. I thought it could be the 0 nic. What I thought was weird was that they all tasted pretty much the same.

I wonder if it's to late to add my own nic., then steep it a bit.

That's a funny description. I've seen some shifty ones in my time, but that's funny.

Thanks JeremyR, Iposted to Art's before I saw your reply. I think I will add some nic to one of the larger lots I bought[ (can't wait to squeeze 10 5 ml bottles into a measuring cup. :p
Thanks

I've been vaping for a little over a year now. While my taste buds are not at peak performance, I can tell the difference between my favorite flavors. It might not be what everyone else tastes, but I can tell the sweetness of RY4 from the smoothness of T-smog (my second fav flavor), for example.

While my Hangsen mixing experiences have been less then stellar, I'm getting a bit better each time. Just not good enough to vape all day. I was hoping to expand my Hangsen "portfolio" when I bought from buyhangsens, try some flavors I hadn't gotten around too yet. I like to try them as they were "meant" to be, see if I like it or if I can modify it when I mix my own. Just my process.

My favorite Hangsen distributor is zainy. Great juice. Problem is you really have to buy a lot to justify the shipping. Which is what I did about 6 months ago. I just ran out of T smog. I bought some concentrate from buyhangsen. I think that will be my next project.

Anybody know what % Hangsen mixes their juice at? I'd like to raise that a few notches when I mix mine.

Thanks

Lol. Like I just mentioned in another post, I get none of those flavors from T-smog. My tongue must be worse than I thought.

I do exclusivly hangsen tobaccos and do mine at 7% across the board. But that's not to say that will be right for you. You just need to experiment with different levels. I've seen others range from 3 - 9% so as you can see it seems to be very subjective to taste. I also like nutty tobaccos and I use 1% AP for the flavorings that are already 555 based and up to 2% for the non based 555 flavors. Others say that's far to much for them and prefer .5 - 1% so you really can't go by others tastes. Also over flavoring will actually make the mix taste under flavored so that's another consideration as to why amounts are so important and experimentation is so nessessary for the individual pallet. Improper use of additives such as sweeteners, EM and sours or AP or smoothers can also drastically change a mix for the worst, or give it that missing element or pop that your looking for if used correctly. So there's a lot to consider here.

I've been mixing mine at 5% with the exception of Arabic at 4%. Here's what I tried so far in order of preference and a score:)

Indian 9
Arabic 8.5
No 5 8
RY1 7.5
Gold & Silver 6.5
Elder Captain 6.5
Pipe 6

I would vape them all. There are differences between them but not huge huge.

I was running out of nicotine so I had some of these with no nicotine during the week. The oomph was definitely missing.

Did you find the pipe a bit on the light side? I did and went as high as 9%.

I remember you mentioning that. Initially I did, but after a month steep, to me it's as robust as others. There is a "baby powder" kind of taste/aroma to it which is distracting to me. Although, that note is mellowing out with steeping.
