Totally agree Jeremy, I probably couldn't tell the Indian base from the additive though cause I couldn't get past it. :D

Edit: off topic, I'm vaping some VZ super concentrate stuff at less than %2 just to get rid of it, tastes like Flavourart's Chinese brother, little "tobacco" flavor, lots of chemical. If anyone ever tried L smoke juice, this is definitely the flavoring they use.

Which VZ SC flavor?

I tried RY4 at 2.5% after a two week steep, and the flavor was kind of sour - nothing like caramel or vanilla. Left the cap open for 24 hours, and it improved, but still no caramel or vanilla. It is somewhat similar in profile to RY4 double from TFA - minus the chemical taste fro RY4D of course. I get no caramel of vanilla from either one. I doubt if raising the % will help... Could someone describe what RY4 is supposed to taste like? Someone mentioned it's like Desert ship, and I am inclined to agree.

Or were you asking what hangsen ry4 is specifically supposed to taste like? My bad if that's what you meant.

Just my 2 cents, when you make your own ry4, try to find your favorite individual tobacco, vanilla caramel and what not flavors then you can adjust it for your own taste.

I was actually referring to HS RY4. As for making my own, there is a slight problem since my favorite tobacco doesn't go too well with caramel or vanilla. Will have to choose something else - like RY1, or Red USA for example. I also love Elder Captain if it wasn't for its nutty flavor.

Well after about 4 weeks between the hospital and rehab for a broken hip, and using just one pv, and one non HS flavor, I'm at home with all my pv's and flavors. Nice to get back to my Hangsen tobaccos. One flavor for that time was a bit much. :)

Mixed up test batches of 4 new Hangsen tobaccos that came yesterday. Deluxe, G&S, Turkish, & RY1.

I'm pretty new to mixing. Only been at it for a couple of months, but Hangsen makes it soooo easy to turn out awesome, tobacco flavors. I know that's preaching to the choir, with those here, that have been Hangsen fans for a while.

I mixed up the four test batches at 5% across the board. I did a small taste test on each, before retiring them to the shelf for a week or so.

Deluxe: Very good. I noticed a hint of fruity sweetness. Not a candy type of sweetness, but one I would describe as slightly fruity. I liked it. I may throttle this one back to 4% depending on how it turns out, after steeping.

G&S: Might be the smoothest, and most mellow (in good ways) tobacco flavoring I've had. It seemed a little light at 5%. Depending on what the steep does to it, I may bump this one up to 6 or 7% and see how that works. I like this one too.

Turkish: Absolutely awesome, to my taste buds. No percentage adjustment necessary for me. Can't wait until it's steepd.

RY1: The most tobacco like of all the RY's I've tried. All the other RY's I've tried (Double, Asian, RY4) I had to look for the tobacco, beneath the sweetness and caramel. Not this one. The tobacco is right there, in front, where I like it. I can vape this, as is.

I'm a noob, but I consider a flavor a home run, if it is great by itself. When they are great by themselves, that just opens more doors, to tweak them a little with something sweet, or maybe some TA (I'm hoping..that arrives tomorrow), or adding a tiny but of another flavor, like the RY's, etc.

Hangsen, to me, is like the Swiss Army Knife of tobaccos. Very versitile.

But you folks already knew that :)

There is a slight caramel taste but more tobacco then anything else. Not sweet at all. I think it makes a great base to customize it to your taste by adding some cream, caramel and vanilla. I'm not a fan of the overly sweet RY4's but as a straight up out of the box RY4 this one falls short but as I said earlier it makes a good starting point for a custom ry4 mix.

Thanks Danny,, I found it at Bullcity..........

Glad you got it. They sell only the original Hangsen in manufactures packaging and not that re-bottled junk other vendors sell so I think you'll really like the official (What it's really suspossed to taste like) and not that watered down old expired crap.

Tell me more, does the gold and silver have a pipe or cigar thing going on?
