30 minute cycles are recommended. What I was refering to is if your going to modify an 8 minute UC then after a 30 minute cycle let it rest or you'll burn the unit out. If you purchase one that can handle 1 hour then 1 hour is good as long as the water temperature doesn't go above 120f. The UC wave action heats the water regardless of whether it has a built in heater or not. As not to go off topic if you would like to continue this conversation we can do so in the UC thread that I linked to in my previous post.

danny need your advise...
I want to make the arabic more creamier and sweet to complement the nuttiness (make it like a light dessert tobacco), what would be a good recipe using it along with some EM...
I also have vapingzone's cream and caramel as well as vapingzone gourmet caramel that can't make them work in any mixes if they help

I have mixed USA red at 5% and the nutty flavor is way too strong. Can anyone suggest a good percentage? Also, has anyone tried the Golden Delight flavor? I saw the premixed at a US site with one good review.

I have not seen the golden Delight, however they where going to rename RY5, Golden. Seeing that they have an HS delight in there premium line, and that is where the RY5 is, I would assume that golden Delight is now RY5?????????

American red should not have a nutty flavor at all. Are you sure you used USA red?

Nutty from the red? Wow each person really is a lot different. It's more of an ashtrAY OR WET ASHTRAY TO me: I had a bad Italian beef that was like too salty or something and it did remind me of the red.

2.5% is lighter 3% is full flavor IMO.

Ashey/ashtray: Now that would be an accurate description of USA red.

Some have described it as licking the bottom of a dirty ashtray.

Yeah; I would not call USA RED "nutty" at all, but maybe I'm nutty?

I reserve the "nutty" description to flavors such as "Tab-Blended", etc.

I see Danny's answered your question but I'll relay to all what I did this weekend with "Indian", which might also work with "Arabic." I added about 1% TFA "Marshmallow" and I don't know if you would call it "creamy" but it really tasted delicious! It may be too soon to tell but I'm pretty sure this is going to be way I brew up "Indian" from now on. 3.3% Indian 1% TFA Marshmallow and a bit of MTS Vape Wizard or TFA Smooth if you feel like it (I didn't add either of those "smoothers" but it probably would not hurt...)

Let me know if anyone tries the "Indian" w/TFA Marshmallow.

Thanks,

Norman

Hey guys! I was wondering about color. I got my first bit of DIY stuff in the other day, and my RY4 and Juicy Peach are not producing flavor like my other flavorings are. I asked about that in another thread.....

I noticed, even at around 9-10% flavoring, my DIY RY4 is not nearly as dark in color as pre-mixed Hangsen RY4. I also can't help but wonder about my Juicy Peach flavoring as it is clear, whereas the pre-mixed is yellowish in color. Just looking to confirm that this is normal, and maybe get any other insight regarding the Hangsen RY4 and JP. THanks!

I can't speak about premixed vs. SC flavor but Hangsen RY4 should be slightly "amber." The only RY4 flavoring I've ever used which is sort of clear is the TFA stuff.

What vendor did you use? Perhaps they made a labeling mistake?

Thanks,

Norma

I got it from ecig express. The ry4 flavoring itself has good color, but at 7-9% flavoring MY mix is still much lighter in color that the pre mixed......and weak tasting.

The peach flavoring is the one that is clear, whereas the hangsen eliquid is yellowish. Again, the peach is also very weak tasting at, from what I've read, a high ratio of flavoring. Thanks

I think you may have "overshot!" I would say the best thing to do now is stop testing RY4 completely and let it steep. As weird as it sounds (I first read this on "Hoosier's" blog), but too much flavoring can taste like too little because your taste-buds have gotten fried while testing.

Either way, before adding any let it steep and don't taste it for awhile.

As far as color goes in the final mix; you are fine. At low flavor % levels (or even at 10%) RY4 should be a pretty clear juice.

Hope this helps,

Norman

I have the juicy Peach (Hangsen) and mix at 5%. I can definitely taste it. I am sure Hangsen premixed liquids are really steeped (sitting on a shelf). Another factor with diy vs premixed: different nic, vg or pg may be used.

I need you guys and gals to help me get over this difference in coloring, please. My Hangsen premixed ry4 is a fairly dark amber color, but, at 5-10% flavoring, my DIY Hangsen ry4 is practically clear.

The same is true, except my DIY is totally clear, concerning the Hansgen Juicy Peach.

I just need to hear, "don't worry about the color, it (DIY)will not necessarily be the same as premixed Hansgen eliquids."
Thanks!

Ok , "don't worry about the color". Just diy it!

Give it time to steep! Tobacco takes a week or two to steep. It will get darker with time. About flavor you should have not gone to 10% you may have muted your flavors. You will have to wait and see. 7% should have been around the top end but it may be ok? You do need to give it time and it will get a little more of an amber color with time. but you cant go by color anyhow as mentioned nicotine has different colors depending on how oxidized it is. So yours may have been clear but the premix could have had a pinkish amber color to it before mixed? You should be more concerned with taste then color anyhow.

I have some flavorings that are clear for a few days then will be red in a couple weeks.

So;
Don't worry about the color, it (DIY)will not necessarily be the same as premixed Hansgen eliquids!"
