Revisited a 5% single mix batch of HS Highway tonight; the flavor has developed nicely with a couple of weeks worth of steep time.

I was wondering if anyone has mixed up a Tribeca style mix with the Highway? Seems like with a bit of graham, caramel, vanilla and a skosh of EM or stevia, it should be a snap. 7% on the Highway is how I'm leaning for the tobacco portion.

I've done this

7% highway
1% AP
2% caramel or vanilla
1% inawera chocolate

and that was simular to tribeca.

Looks good! I'll probably stick to something in that range for myself.

I usually make a Tribeca for my wife which uses TFA RY4 DBL as the tobacco. However, the last time I made up a 100ml batch, she says that it's nothing like the previous batch I whipped up. My guess is that the TFA RY4 DBL was the culprit, since it was a "fresh" bottle of concentrate which I used. After the new batch I made was steeped for a month, I was very surprised that the flavor was, indeed, totally different.

I imagine TFA can't always hit the taste on the head with every new batch they make. :(

Yes totally different vape when fresh. TFA flavors really change over time.

TFA flavors really change over time.

The weird thing was the new batch had steeped for a solid month (as usual) but the tobacco flavor profile was totally different from the TFA RY4 DBL I had used in a previous mix. I think there was definitely something off with the TFA tobacco.

Hence, I want to get away from the TFA tobacco in my Tribeca mix, altogether, by using HS Highway. I just trust HS's ability to make a tobacco flavor profile the same, every time.

There was a thread on this a few months back where several of us got an off bottle of TFA Ry4D. My bottle was sweet with just a faint hint of tobacco flavor. Lucky for me I have a huge sweet tooth so I finally managed to use it up by using a few drops at a time as sweetener in my mixes. I haven't had the courage to reorder but also don't miss it at all. I have several Ry4 type mixes, none better than the other, just depends on what I'm in the mood for, but Hangsen Highway is a really great base for one of them.

Interesting @JD1!

After much pondering of this issue, it hit me! The RY4 DBL I had used in the new 100ml batch was not directly from TFA; it was a "rebottled" RY4 DBL from ECX's Signature line (i.e. TFA bulk concentrate rebottled by ECX).

Issue identified!

I'm in the middle of testing 2 ml's of their "Pineapple Coconut Rum" flavoring.
I started out at 8% since the bottle drops are so small. It was fairly weak (lousy taste buds anyway)
So I doubled it, and now, it's the best Pina Colada type flavor I have ever had.
I can actually taste the coconut in it, and I have been through 8 different company's trying to find just a plain coconut I could taste. It surprised me to detect the coconut in this flavoring.
A little "Pina Colada" in one vape, and a nice tobacco in another really goes well together

Me too! It's a very irritating journey! I'll have to give the HS a try since you like it so much. But for now, I've had fairly good outcome with the INW Cocopilada for my pina colada/coconut fix.

Still looking for that single flavor coconut concentrate though!

I tried the INW Cocopilada EA, and their Coconut EA ... both were given away :(
I would not say the "Pineapple Coconut Rum" flavoring is a coconut flavoring, but I can detect it in there. The pineapple is there, and the rum is too, but doesn't stand out.
Still, it's yummy to me, since I haven't found a good pina colada .. this will do just fine :p

Thanks for the heads up! Order for Black Label and Indian placed. Also threw in some Perique Black.

That's terrible; none at RTS either. Just finished off another mix; first empty from last session. Think I'll put a BCV request in for 50ml stock. FYI, I don't get any 555 notes in this.

Drew said in an email, he was going to be placing another Hangsen order soon. I've already noted he needed to add some Churchill to his list. I was hoping the DE would be in his latest shipment as well; not so much. ;)
