What's the alternative? You know he's not going to make 27 orders in a month and he's obviously not independently wealthy or he wouldn't be in this fix so he can't refund everyone immediately.

Do you honestly expect members of the community to have any sympathy or compassion for him after hes lied to them, purposely avoided them, and used them for what amounts to an interest free loan of over 6k? No thank you.....I have plenty of sympathy for those affected but not one bit for this d-bag and thats not likely to change until everyone either gets their money back or their products.
Con artists make their living off the kindness of others and if youve taken the time to read the Chopperguys thread you'll start to see some frightening similarities. People called for moderation there as well and said to give him some time and that didnt work out so well.

Yeah, the only person who got moderated on this thread was somebody who made illegal threats. The moderators can have certainly have opinions. Let's not fight among ourselves over somebody who's not worth it.
Did you notice the similarity of Jason's letter to Chopper's letter. Interesting stuff.
I'm not saying that as a moderator. I'm certainly not defending this person, I know nothing about him or the device for that matter. I do feel badly for anyone that paid for a product they didn't get.

Just like the Chopperguys thread, the only thing this guy seems to genuinely respond to is the threat of legal action from a lot of people. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, feeling sorry for him and giving him more time isnt likely to produce results.
If I had a mod coming from him at this point Id be furious and seriously doubtful about the quality of the finished product to boot.
The only way were going to stop this kind of thing from happening is to have a zero tolerance policy for it. That means zero tolerance for delays, zero tolerance for excuses, zero sympathy whatsoever because if you give a thief wiggle room theyre going to find a way out one way or another.
Thats why they suggested everyone demand a refund on the show last night.

The most likely explanation for all this is that he started out with good intentions and he let things deteriorate into this. He does not strike me as a very responsible adult.

Apparently Zapped, my post may have led you and others to think I was defending this persons actions. I don't. I just really hope that this can somehow get worked out where the people that paid for a mod get what they paid for. Ideally everyone gets their money or mod right away. If that doesn't happen, maybe he can chip away at the list and keep communicating with everyone.

I never cared about Jason's problems from the beginning, still don't. But I can empathize.
Maybe this is his way of making you care. Making you care about all those cement contractors out there in this economy. The ones you never think about.
Well to be honest. If he's trying to make me care, he'll go through hell and back to make that happen. My father is self employed, and I'm now self employed. So I know first hand what it's like for small businesses in this economy. That's why I can empathize, but not sympathize.
