It was a gorgeous day. 78 degrees and it was a wonderful day to be on a motorcycle. We took his one day so I got to take mine today and my behind sure does appreciate it.

I am glad we rode for two days because it is supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon.

Looking on the bright side of gaining weight (the only one I can think of), I now weigh enough to give 2 pints of blood so I made an appointment for Saturday morning. Now I just have to pass the iron level test. It has been a while since I could give.

We had a no-meat dinner. Brown rice, green beans, and a tossed salad. It was very good. I have done very well this week on my eating but I am craving some seafood. I told Ken I would only go out to eat one night a week like I used to do and so far he has been okay with it. It is just impossible to eat out and maintain. For me anyway.

Hope everyone has a nice Friday.

    Good morning lurkers

Congrats, Grandma Dale  Hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy for her.

Omgosh, my lips are chapped too. And after all this time now my left ear is plugged. Go figure. Happy you guys were able to ride!

    Have a great Fri-Yay, all!
    Good morning Sara
Hopefully like Rat2 you’ll be better soon.

    Good evening lurkers

Woot!!! The weekend is finally here.

It was in the 50s today, so we decided to grill out. Boys had steak and I had chicken with roasted sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Hope everyone had a great day!
    Hi Sara:wub:
What a delicious sounding dinner, we had goulash :(

Happy weekend. Hope you’re feeling much better by next Monday!

After having such wonderful warm days, today it was rainy until supper. Then it was just foggy. I did go to Roses to get some potting soil. Mrs. Rochelle (where Ken parks his camper) gave me a piece of a plant to start. I can't remember what she said it was but it was pink, I think. I brought it home in a cup with a wet napkin. I got it in dirt today so we will see. I do not have a real green thumb. Especially when I leave them for 3 weeks.

I have been trying to keep my two Geraniums that I bought last year alive through the winter. So far so good. I need to repot them in a little bigger pot for the summer. I hope they survive. On a sad note, the African Violet bit the dust and the Aloe does not look very well. The Peace Plant perked back up after I watered it. I had never seen its leaves hanging so low. I just knew it was a goner but it must be a pretty hardy plant.

Ken wanted to eat fish tonight but with the rain, I was not feeling it. I made it up to him by taking a frozen rib-eye out and thawing it. Served with au Gratin potatoes and peas. He said he did not want a salad. I have been adding them to the meal all week so I guess he is tired of them. Not me. I could eat a salad every day. It just takes so much time to cut up all the crunchy stuff I add.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Sara, I hope you feel better soon. Enough is enough.

    Good morning lurkers

Ahh thanks girls. I agree! I’ve had enough. I also need to feel better so I can get myself moving again, I’m behind on my walking challenges for the month.

Ooh I love goulash and salad with all the fixings. Yum!!

No green thumb over here but my succulent is still alive from last Mother’s Day. Gangly looking but still alive lol.

    Have a great day!!

    Good morning Sara:wub:
Normally I like goulash but this tastes “off” for some reason.

My old orchid is looking very poorly

YAY! Congrats! That is wonderful news. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a boy too! View attachment 1009777
Thank you, naturally I’ll be happy with a healthy baby of either sex but it would be nice to have a grandson to go with all the girls .

    Good morning, Dale

Weird how foods taste off sometimes. A grandson would be wonderful. I hope one day to be a grandma. :)

Grocery shopping done for the week. Love getting in and out early. Now to tackle the house. Figured I'd finish my coffee first. ;) But I'm feeling optimistic, so that's a great thing.

Enjoy the rest of your morning!

Yes it is strange however I used two different products that I haven’t used before. Ground lamb and some off brand tomatoes, either one could have caused the sweet taste I suppose.

We’re planning a trip to Sam’s club in a little while. I want some more of their Fuji apples, forgot what DH was after but it has something to do with his work.

I certainly hope you are a grandma someday, there’s nothing else quite like it :)

    Good evening lurkers

Pork chops in the crockpot with stuffing gravy, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner. Made a good dent in the household chores. Time for a movie and early to bed so I can finish tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good day!
    Good evening Sara:wub:
We had ham, northern beans, cornbread and broccoli salad.

I reorganized the deep freeze and freezer. Mostly meat in the deep freeze and more frozen vegetables in the freezer. Did a load of DH’s laundry and washed dishes.
Made it to Sam’s but got a good bit more than apples ;) Also went to Buff City Soaps and a pet supply store.

    Good morning :)

This crud has been hanging on for two weeks and still going though not as strong. my left ear is plugged, minor congestion and coughing but the sinus pressure is gone. Glad you are feeling better, Joey. Homemade pizza is the best!

Dinner sounds delish, Dale. We haven’t had cornbread in a bit and I’m thinking we should change that. Dh reorganized ours also and found some hamburg. So that’s exciting. I don’t mind grinding but I don’t like the extra work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Joey! I’ve missed you and sorry to hear you’ve been sick.
There must be a new strain of something happening, Classy said she’s been sick for 3 weeks.

It was good even if I say so

Always nice to find unexpected meat!

I think I told you all that I have not been sick since before I moved in with Dad but whatever I had is still lingering (sorry Sara). I have never had anything last this long. It has been darn near a month. I am starting to think that on top of having the grud, I am experiencing allergies. It did seem to start up again after I mowed the yard.

Oh well, looking on the bright side. . . my lips aren't chapped any longer. YAY!

Yesterday was a beautiful day weather-wise. I was turned down once again for giving blood due to low iron levels.
    mad.gif
I should have taken iron a couple of days before I went but I thought I was doing okay. Figured I was tired because of not sleeping well. I can take a supplement and try again this week or just give up on donating. I have done my share at 154 pints. heehee

We were supposed to have a date night but Ken changed it at the last minute and said let's grill out some chicken. Grrrr We definitely have different definitions of what a date night curtails. So we had grilled BBQ chicken and asparagus with Cantelope. It was not a bad dinner just included too much effort.

Happy Sunday and St. Patrick's Day. I am not sure if I have Irish in me and I've never eaten corn beef but I am going to try to enjoy the day that the Lord has given me.
