    It was awesome!
Shrimp was on sale for a great price too!
Have not grilled broccoli, but how Dale said would be perfect!

Welp, I'm off to shower and stitch.
Sweet dreams when y'all go.
Have a good night Lori

That’s our propane fire pit. It came with ugly brown rocks and I got a bag or two of blue glass to put in it instead.
Huh! That’s neat ... the glass won’t explode will it?

Oh no, it’s glass for propane fire pits. No wood burning pits where we live, but the propane tank pits are ok. o_O

Oh whew, didn’t know there was such a thing :?:

Strange but I guess that’s because it would have to be in a grill and not a camp fire on the ground

My mom says it’s because summer is right around the corner and totally normal. (She works in a school and has 2 kids of her own, though grown) I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one. Sorry Joey. And you’re right, they are safe at home...testing their boundaries.

Yeah, I think that’s it. It “shouldn’t” explode under normal circumstances and won’t set things on fire if used responsibly. Which is how we use it. Maybe to make s’mores. We didn’t even get it out last year. But I want to utilize the backyard this year, especially now that we have Lucy.

Sure don’t envy you guys, I did my time
Yes, yes you did. It’s one of those parenting rituals we have to go through, I suppose. We will be better people for it, right?

I don’t know about being better people  To survive you’ll have to learn not to sweat the little things and pick your battles ;)

Have a good night Sara

    You too Joey

Good night lovely and handsome Lurkers

One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack)

by Dennis Lambert & Brian Potter, performed by The Original Caste (1970)
This song was performed by Jinx Dawson and Coven in the movie "Billy Jack" (1971)

    Listen, children, to a story
    That was written long ago,
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
    And the valley-folk below.

On the mountain was a treasure
    Buried deep beneath the stone,
    And the valley-people swore
They'd have it for their very own.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
    Come the judgement day,
    On the bloody morning after....
    One tin soldier rides away.

So the people of the valley
Sent a message up the hill,
    Asking for the buried treasure,
Tons of gold for which they'd kill.

Came an answer from the kingdom,
"With our brothers we will share
All the secrets of our mountain,
    All the riches buried there."

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
    Come the judgement day,
    On the bloody morning after....
    One tin soldier rides away.

Now the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!"
    And they killed the mountain-people,
So they won their just reward.

Now they stood beside the treasure,
On the mountain, dark and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it...
"Peace on Earth" was all it said.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
    Come the judgement day,
    On the bloody morning after....
    One tin soldier rides away.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
    Come the judgement day,
    On the bloody morning after....
    One tin soldier rides away.

    Good morning all

Sorry you guys didn’t sleep well. :( Breakfast looks delightful, Dale. Thank you.

Hiya, Fran  how are things with you?

I’m about as stubborn as they come and apparently this kid of mine is my mini me.:laugh:

Someone once told me that after you’ve done yard work, or work that you aren’t used to doing (meaning daily stuff) to take a walk. That it will help you to not be sore the next day. Don’t know if it works though. Sorry your sore today, Lori.
