    Good afternoon Joey

DS’s was nice enough. I’m not much for crowds but it was okay. Lots of little kids there. Was cold and rainy. Kalli had on a beautiful dress but it was much too cool for the day so she got changed pretty quickly ;)

Rib roast mashed tators and corn for dinner. Almost done cooking the roast. Desserts are chocolate cake, apple and pecan pies and ice cream :drool::drool:
    Wow that sounds great!
    We had canned soup :(

Awww!! Always did love the little girl’s holiday dresses. Stinks that it was so cold.

    That sounds amazing, Joey!

I had parmesan crusted chicken over salad for dinner. It was really good. No room for dessert.

    Sweet dreams lurkers
No room for dessert!?
Have a peaceful night Sara

Dad felt like mowing so I helped him get on the mower. He loves mowing and his lines were straight as could be. That's pretty good moving at 13 mph.

I needed a key out of his pocket and he stopped. I was digging for the key and he took off. It would have been okay if my toe had not been in his way. Yes, he ran over it. He made a circle and ran over the same toe for the second time. I yelled at him that he ran over my toe twice and he yelled back at me to go to the other side of the yard and pick up a limb he did not want to mow over. Yeah, he's back to normal. I did not find the humor in it until much later.

We ate down at my aunt's tonight. Mexican takeout. My cousin ordered what me and dad always eat there so I really liked it.

I was almost giddy when I went to weigh this morning. I ate very little this past week and I just knew I was going to be happy. I weighed. Got off and weighed again and got the same number. I lost 1 pound last week. One! I was so disappointed. I did not get to walk like I usually do. I did drink soft drinks (which I never do) and I did put extra cream in that coffee that was so darn good. I guess I should be grateful that I did not gain a pound.

I think 1 pound a week is considered a healthy weight loss
Yes, 1-2 lbs are healthy. Because of my hypothyroidism, it has taken me forever to lose the 40 lbs I have, and it gets so discouraging at times. They have adjusted my medication 3 times and I am still having symptoms. I go back in September to check it out.

If I listed all the things that doctors have diagnosed me with, you would probably think dad is the healthier of us two. heehee Many years ago I was going to 4 doctors (a neurologist, an endocrinologist, a rheumatologist, and my family doctor). They each had me on so much medication that I have never felt worse in my life. Every time I complained about something they would add another medication. I finally got to the point where I stopped taking what I thought was not necessary and I finally got to feeling better. I suppose this is why I have such a strong opinion on the medical profession and pharmaceuticals. Doctors do not treat illnesses anymore, they treat symptoms without finding the root cause.

Oh no! I do understand since I’ve been screwed by doctors too :(
Any medication we are given causes other problems that they medicate and eventually we’re totally messed up physically:(
