    Good morning lurkers

Ugh, dislike Monday’s, even more when it’s raining.

When will you be able to do surgery, Joey? I can’t remember if you already said.

Hope everyone has a nice day!
    Good morning Sara
It’s 42 this morning and still raining

Good for you. Looks like we'll have sun tomorrow.
I think it’s hilarious because it rained the entire time DH was camping  But it wasn’t as cold as it’s been today at any rate.

Bbq sandwiches and pork rinds for supper tonight.

    Good evening lurkers

Booo to all the rain  Glad some of you had or will have sun. We get some flakes tomorrow. Thank goodness it wasn’t that cold for your Dh, Dale.

We had raviolis, salad and garlic knots. Then I walked on the treadmill. Been over a week since I did that. Knee is feeling good.

Hope everyone had a good day!

I have returned once again and ridden over 1,000 glorious miles on my Harley. I could not have ordered better weather. I suggested getting some plug-in heat suits for the Winter but it did not go over well. Go figure.

Another good thing happened while I was gone. Another deputy called me in TN and informed me that they had found my Honda. It was stashed behind a deserted house. There was another car stolen not far from me. He seems to think it is gang-related. They are looking for guns (which mine is always on me) and vehicles that can be used in the future when they do something illegal. I still cannot believe it was taken from my driveway.

I was going to have to pay for towing and storage. I tried to talk them into me giving them my credit card and them towing it to my house but they would not. The deputy called me back again and said because they did not follow procedure on my case that the Sheriff's department would pay the cost of towing and storage if I gave them permission to break into my car to dust it for prints. Well, that is a no-brainer. That saved me $282.00. It does not seem fair for the victim to be punished. I was lucky and I am grateful.

There are several new scratches but the only thing I found missing was my 4-in-1 battery charger which I really liked and my cell phone charger. Both can be replaced. I spent all afternoon cleaning it out. The little thugs did not even take the $50 gift card from Hobby Lobby. Guess they were not into crafts.

We ended up staying a lot longer than we planned. I thought it was just going to be one night. When we left last Wednesday, it was 52 degrees and I was not sure how cold it would be. I had on 2 pairs of socks, 3 pairs of pants, and 4 shirts and my jacket. We had to stop not too far down the road for me to take some of it off. But it worked out very well because I wore my extra day's clothes instead of packing them. I had clean clothes the whole trip.

Going to be busy this week catching up with stuff around the house and Ken has his court date on Thursday from where he got the speeding ticket. It is only 50 miles away. That is nothing to me.

The weather changed tonight and it is chilly. That drastic change always makes me hurt.

Guess it is that time of year.

Missed everyone and am glad to be back for a little while although, I would go anywhere if I were asked.

Going to snow here this morning,

Here too! Hoping it doesn’t amount to much for either of us.
I did not see a snowflake last winter. I think it is beautiful though (when it is falling). If it could just melt quicker it would not bother me. I know TN sees lots more snow than me so I better get used to it.
How far away was it found from you?
It was 9.3 miles away from my house. I still cannot believe it. I feel sorry for the people who have to pay the towing. That alone was $180,

I called 2 locksmiths yesterday about reprogramming the remote on the one key I have. I was surprised that the Honda dealership was the least expensive at $99. We parked Ken's truck on its bumper last night and we will go get the key reprogrammed today. I will feel a little better then.

It gives you a weird feeling to sit in a vehicle and drive when you know someone you did not know was there. I did not realize it would bother me but it did. I felt violated.

I am still very lucky and even luckier that I have someone with me to go through it. I feel like I have someone in my corner for a change instead of fighting my way out of the corner alone. If Ken decides this is not what he wants, I did fine alone before and I will again. I am still trying to keep myself from getting "attached" to Ken. I just love the fact that we laugh and giggle so much. I think that is what I missed the most in the last several years.

Wow you guys snow already! It’s cold enough here this morning at 33 .
Good morning to you dale. That is pretty chilly. It is 50 here right now but we are getting down to 33 degrees Thursday. I like cold weather especially since I have more winter outfits than I do summer.

Hate to hear that you have gang members around you though :(
I know they are around here but it did not bother me that much because I had never been affected by them. I suppose they are everywhere though. We have always had bullies but kids seem to learn to be mean earlier than they used to. Another sign I am an o'l fart.

This is just an observation but isn't it funny that you can type fart here but it sensors out "b u t t" ? View attachment 1003087
    I find that humorous also.

Hope everyone has a good evening, DH is at the church providing security for the treat or treating.

Yesterday when I got quotes on reprograming the remote, the Honda dealership was the least expensive. I explained the situation to him and he said that was all I would need.

So here we go today. It ended up being more because Ken said I needed a spare key. It turned into $268. Now. Do you want to know the kicker? The remote will still open the door but will not let them crank it up. So they can still get into it and take whatever I leave in there (which will be nothing of value) but they will not drive it away. I think that will just tic the perp off and they will do damage to the car. To change the locks, the quote was $1,300. Grrrr

So instead. . . I added comprehensive and I am looking for an outside security camera that records. What do y'all think? Is it the right thing to do?

Since it took so long at the Honda dealership, we at a late lunch at the Box Seat. They have delicious quesadillas. I have a meatloaf in the fridge that I put together at 8 o'clock this morning so I guess we will have a late supper.

I have been eating out so much lately that I am craving a good home-cooked meal. Guess that means I have to cook again. My world sure has changed.
